The unusual rumble you hear is the sound of a Stewart Downing bandwagon – last seen or heard circa 2010/11, when the winger racked up 167 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points in his final season at Aston Villa. Having provided just two assists over the entire previous campaign, Downing was written off as a Fantasy force this time round. After an uninspiring start, he has now produced attacking returns in each of his last three for Liverpool and has already received over 10,000 transfers in prior to this weekend’s trip to Southampton. In this latest article for members, we assess the statistics to see just why:
Hey guys, was thinking of Downgrading Michu to townsend & upgrading Sturr to Suarez, what do u think ? (Any other alternatives in mid cheapos?).
Open ControlsI'm still keeping faith in Sturridge against all odds.
Open ControlsEven i dont want lose him but i cant watch Suarez scoring hatties & Sturr limping !
Open Controlsagainst what odds? bookies have him down as one the likeliest to score week in, week out
Open Controls+a million. I think it's short-sighted that people are dropping him now considering his
a) price
b) fixtures
c) LFCs form
d) returns so far
e) security of starts
That's just me.Open ControlsMy thinking is that Sturridge could cover me the Liverpool attack and save me a lot of money compared to Suarez. So far this has backfired dramatically and eaten up my ~ 60 point lead in my mini-league.
Open Controls
"against all odds" he's returned in all starts except one.
Open ControlsI mean as opposed to Suarez.

With Phil Jones confirmed out, do you think Rafael is nailed on? Or do you think Smalling can take his place?
Open Controlssmalling could but i think rafael is fine, if he doesn't play v reading he'll not kick a ball for 3 weeks. sunderland is the worry game for rafael imo. mcanuff turning him inside out in the reverse fixture may be a factor but i doubt it, perfect chance for rafael to bounce back
Open Controls
I see nobody has noticed the weather forecast this weekend!
Open ControlsWhat? Rain?
Open Controls
Choosing my team for the weekend - who would you leave on the subs bench out of :
A) Sissoko
B) Remy
C) Michu
D) WalcottOpen ControlsHave all 4 and currently benching Sissoko (but may be selling Michu for Maloney)
Open Controlssissokho. his initial spurt don't strike me as reflecting his true threat to opposing defenders. bookies agree
Open ControlsHave all 4. Starting all 4. Captaining Michu.
Open ControlsMichu or Siss....probably going Michu myself.
Open Controls
Which of these looks the best option?
A. Michu & Cisse -> Maloney & RVP (c) (4pointer)
B. Sissoko & Cisse -> Maloney & RVP (c) (4 pointer)
C. GJ & Cisse -> Dawson & RVP (c) (4 pointer)
D. Cisse -> Rooney
E, Save transfer, go with no United
Would really appreciate some advice on this, really don't know what direction to go with it! P.S i'm leading practically all my mini leagues and most behind me have RVP..Open ControlsWhy on earth are you getting rid of Cisse? Hes back on form.
Out of those I would do E though.Open ControlsNothing to do with Cisse, i'd prefer to not have to drop him but RVP is more important..
Open Controls
A or C, Viper. You've gotta get RVP, not just to cover the difference but because he will do well down the stretch as United focus on the league, and maybe dropping Michu is the way to go. Tough one though. The more i look at it though it seems C is a good move too. Stick with RVP over Rooney though (on Pens and more central as Roon will do the dirty work). Good luck.
Open Controls
As a Liverpool fan I hope he continues to do well but I'm not going to risk having him spoil my fantasy team as well as if he doesn't.
*not reading article in case its too convincing 😉Open Controlsafternoon lads
so any indication from Fergie on who might be rested? Smalling maybe replacing Rafa?
Also, as someone who's looking at getting Sir Chesney in for DGW should i be worried by Wenger's comments on rotation and Fabianski?Open Controlsrest makes no sense, they've just had midweek off and rafael hasn't been called up by brazil so has a 2 week break after this game.
Open Controlsfair does, fairly confident he'll play then. I'll see who starts for Arsenal then decide on Sir Chesney.
Open Controlssunderland looks like prime resting season to me, especially if everton pull something out the bag this weekend. jones should be back by then, smalling is fit, and man utd have 3 centre backs. for example i can see rafael nailed on to play against hazard so smalling v sunderland 2 days earlier makes some sense
Open Controls
Yes stay clear - Sczsney and Ddg are dodgy ,
Czech if you can afford is nailed on.Open ControlsChesney = DGW and cheap.
Open Controls
Which set of players do you prefer:
A maloney, suarez, lambert
B michu, studge, kone
ThxOpen ControlsA. two penalty takers and suarez
Open Controls
jaasken
Clichy Azipilicueta MartinR
Michu Fellaini Mata Walcott
RVP Suarez Lambert
(federici, Schnederlin, Cyne)
Planning:
1)Michu -> Sissoko (To fund for Mata -> Bale)
2)Fellaini -> Sissoko and MartinR -> Merteserker
Yay or Nay?Open Controls@milesstarforth
Hatem Ben Arfa has been ruled out for the rest of the season. He needs an operation on his hamstring
Wow.Open ControlsMarveaux looks a good option then maybe...Ben Arfa's been unfortunate...sad to see
Open ControlsNit sure on Marv, he's a left-winger, Gouffran plays there
Jonas will come in shirleyOpen Controls
geez, with Cabaye out is there now a chance Siss will drop deep. Jonas can play wide right, maybe Marv wide left, or maybe Perch or Anita will fill in for Cabaye?
Need to decide whether to bench Siss or Remy or not buy LampardOpen Controlsgod damn it. such a pity. barfa is hero
Open ControlsDon't think it affects him one way or the other. Cabaye out will be worse for him. Sissoko could end up playing deeper but even if he doesn't, Newcastle will be missing a lot of their creative spark.
Open ControlsBut if they drop Sissoko deep who plays in the hole? Shirley Perch or Anita can fill in at CM?
Open Controls
All set for this week?
Bego
Davies / Dawson / Rafael
Bale / Walcott / Michu / Sissoko
Suarez / Fletcher / RVP
Bench: Bunn / Snodg / O'brien / ClyneOpen ControlsLooks good All set
Open Controls
Who to bring in for sissoko?
Mata or lampard?Open ControlsAny ideas guys:
Mig / 3.8
Zaba / Enrique / Davies / Demel / Wilson
Bale / Michu / Wally / Mata / Sissoko
Suarez / Benteke / Pog
1FT, 8.1m
A) Gw 30 Benteke and Mig -> RVP and DDG (-4); Gw 31 Michu -> Cazorla
B) Gw 30 Pog and Michu -> RVP and Maloney (-4); GW 31 Davies -> RafaelOpen ControlsAnyone know if Pringles go off; eating some from a pack I opened before Christmas and they're perfect 😯
Open ControlsStep away from the Box Icon - you might not make the parade 😉
Open Controlsthey don't go off. have the half-life of plutonium. sure they use crack cocaine as a preservative
Open ControlsWhere the hell is The Advice Mallard when you need him!
Open Controls
Do you find the lows hard to take after all the Highs ?
Open Controls
Wow No United attacking coverage for me 😮
And my rival 32 points ahead of me has Rooney 🙁
CMon Sturridge!!!Open Controlswould anyone bench Remy this weekend?
Open Controls😆
Basically mate my options are
a) Play Siss and Remy and bench Snodgrass
b) Bring in Lamps for -4 and bench one of Siss or Remy
a) is easier but I'd be scared of no Chelsea for the next 3 and Lamps is nailed on to start this week I'd say.Open Controls
I'm benching him.
Purely for the reason that I'm leading in two of my leagues and everyone else behind me will play him so it's a case of covering myself.Open Controls
A) Pog and Sissoko -> RVP and 5.3m (Maloney?)
B) Pog and Michu -> RVP and 6.8m (Maloney?)Open ControlsHBA out for rest of season.
Open ControlsErrrrr
Open Controls
Who fancies Fulham to get a result at a tired and weary Tottenham?
Open ControlsHave you made a decision on your Lampard conundrum yet?
Open Controls
drop cisse or lambert for rvp
cisse - wig, mci, FUL. SUN,
lambert - LIV, CHE, rea, WHU
actually thinking of cisse them extra funds will be needed for dgw 33Open ControlsLambert
Open ControlsYeah, probably Cisse
Open ControlsI think Lambert will cause Liverpool big problems like they had v Benteke
Im keeping......probablyOpen Controlsjust cos of the cash, cisse. i'm pretty sure that he'll outscore lambert but it depends on what u do with the dough yo. ain't given rooney no mind? if savings be a compelling consideration....
Open Controlsthanks, will prob keep lambert, they will create vs liv and chelsea he just needs to nick 1 goal in either game at that will do me
Open Controls
Bego (bunn)
Baines azp davies (harte, mariappa)
Bale mata walcott sissoko michu
Suarez studge (lambert)
2 FT, 2.7
Def want rvp back.. Should i pull the trigger on:
Michu, studge -> maloney, rvp?
Bit worried about my defence, thoughOpen ControlsHave full faith in my
Suarez Sturridge Benteke frontline this week.. will have to skip rvp/rooney and stick the armband on bale.. hope things dont go too t!ts up!Open ControlsVery risky. Im deserate to get RVP/Rooney
Open ControlsSoton away and QPR at home could be potential goalfests.. if i had any other striker upfront i would have swapped him for rvp.. gonna concentrate my transfers on Taarabt and Puncheon out
Open Controls
Same here, Cisse instead of Benteke though. Bale (c). Scary, but getting RVP would mess my team up, spend my FT + a hit and their GW30 versus Sunderland looks PERFECT for resting players.
Open Controls+1.. let's hope it works out.. got Reina and Fed as my 2 keepers so may have to spend a transfer there too 🙁
Open Controls
So, selling Lukaku for Rooney then, leaves this...look ok? (Rafael, Azpilli and Masta all rotation threats)
Mignolet
Zabaleta Rafael Azpillicueta
Sissoko Bale(vc) Mata Walters
Rooney(c) Lambert Sturridge
Bunn Pilkington Davies Harte
Enough money for Walters to Walcott/Cazorla next weekOpen ControlsGood news for owners of De Gea:
http://www.givemefootball.com/335274-manchester-united-in-talks-to-sell-goalkeeperOpen ControlsTeam so far
Bego
Evans. Zab. Davies
Bale. Walcott. Michu. Sissoko
Rvp. Suarez. Lambert
Subs. Bunn. Punch. Clyne. Harte
Bank 3.1 mil
Which option is best
A) sissoko/Michu > mata
B) lambert > ba
C) save transferOpen ControlsConsidered D) Bego -> De Gea?
Gives you double Man U defensive cover this weekend against Reading. Then Davies -> Wilson?.Open Controls
