The unusual rumble you hear is the sound of a Stewart Downing bandwagon – last seen or heard circa 2010/11, when the winger racked up 167 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points in his final season at Aston Villa. Having provided just two assists over the entire previous campaign, Downing was written off as a Fantasy force this time round. After an uninspiring start, he has now produced attacking returns in each of his last three for Liverpool and has already received over 10,000 transfers in prior to this weekend’s trip to Southampton. In this latest article for members, we assess the statistics to see just why:

Pretty dull Champions League Draw for the 1/4 finals. Aside from Juve vs Bayern, the ties are pretty straightforward. Would've loved to see Dortmund vs Barca 😀
Open Controls -
Any decent Cheap Mids under 5m in good form or hving DGWs ?
Open Controls -
Didnt see the UCL draw. Bayern Juve. Crap!

Last week I bough Gerrard.
This week I've bought Lampard.
What year is this again? 2005?Open Controls-

I need a vote on this one:
A) Rooney
B) RvP
if it means taking -4 (Rooney) or -8 (RvP) to get in.Open Controls -
Is it too much of a risk to play Remy and bench Michu or Sissoko?
Open Controls -
Suarez captain could be a nice differential this week
Open Controls-
Him, Bale and RVP will all score points this week imo, it is near impossible to guess at who will score the most though.
The most important captaincy of the season so far this week.Open Controls

HOW and WHY is Fellaini fifth in the captains poll?
Is it like when people vote for the Monster Raving Loony Party just to screw up the vote?Open Controls-
Well he has scored against City in the last fixture, picking up 9 points in that game. Not a bad shout with Kompany still out, but I'd rather stick to a safer option
Open Controls
-
-
With Aguero ruled out, should I play Fellaini (MCI) or 4-4-2 with one of Wilson (WBA) or Davies (ARS)?
Got to be Fellaini right?Open Controls -
I'm 32 points ahead in my ML.
When do I start playing tactically to maintain it, or do I just continue the season playing my own game?Open Controls-
Keep playing your own game.
Open Controls -
Both. Id get any big players that your rival has soon. You need Suarez
Open Controls -
wait til late mate. far too early yet. 32 points is almost literally nothing. your superior decision making sprinkled with some smiles from fate have brought you ahead. keep it rollin as is for now. xopy the shit outta that mofo closer to the wire

Clichy Azipilicueta MartinR
Michu Fellaini Mata Walcott
RVP Suarez Lambert
(federici, Schnederlin, Cyne)
Planning:
1)Michu -> Sissoko (To fund for Mata -> Bale)
2)Fellaini -> Sissoko and MartinR -> Merteserker
1 or 2?Open Controls -
So now Chelsea play...
30th sou
1st UTD
4th Rubin
6th SUN
11th rubin
13th TOT
Right im selling Mata and Azpilli!!Open Controls-
having Chelsea players is gonna be a headache for sure
Open Controls -
Mata to start any of those prem games?
Open Controls -
I assume the Sat games will get moved to Sundays
Also thats not considering what happens if the y beat Utd!Open Controls

is going double rooney/rvp even worrth it in gw33 they have 2 away games not the easiest either plus most of the other popular strikers have good games that week
Open Controls -
Would you prefer Maloney or Cazorla this week.. getting both over the next 2 and just decidin the order..
Also would you do Reina to De Gea for -4 considerin that my other keeper is Federici so i may not have a playing keeperOpen Controls-
Kags is temptin as a one week punt i must say.. esp with nani out(less comp)
Open Controls -
maybe Ches over DDG, Ches has a confirmed DGW, DDG does not. If its to play I;d get Caz and he has Reading at home next week, if it's to bench get Maloney
Open Controls-
yeah it is to play.. so Caz it is.. Ches seems like a rotation risk in my mind now :(.. if fed was'nt my other keeper i would'nt mind, but he is
Open Controls
-
-
I'm a fan of Maloney but if it's to start this week surely it has to be Caz
Open Controls-
yeah it is for this week.. Caz it is.. though kags is temptin me
Open Controls

Cech!! forgot about him
Open Controls

ok I'll ask once more. Since I have no Chelsea cover atm
a) Play Remy and Siss and bench Snod
b) Sell Snod to Lamps and bench Remy/Siss?Open Controls -
A.Davies, Cameron -> Johnson, Boyce (-4)
B. Demel -> EnriqueOpen Controls -
Who would you bench out of these?
Michu
Sissoko
N’Zog
Lambert
Also got Mata, Bale, RVP & SuarezOpen Controls-

Nice podcast guys, congrats on reaching the 100 mark. 🙂
With regard to the luck factor, and many of those who started well being up there now. If you think about it, this is merely a numbers game. Logically only those that have picked the correct moves will still be up there.
There are literally millions of players and by sheer weight of numbers eventually come the end the players in the top echelons will be the players who have played as close as possible to the perfect team, ie their substitutions will work out, the ones who’s substitutions didn’t will fall by the wayside.
Ie 2 players could start the same team gwk1 and make the same moves until gwk 19 say and then eventually 1 will diverge and make a poor move relative to the other. This is clearly an over simplification, but the principle is sound.
I probably haven’t explained this very well, but hopefully someone will understand 🙂Open Controls-
It all depended on what Reading defender you got...if it was Gorkss you are probably top 100 right now...if it was Gunter...well,...enough said

Whom should i play??
A)Zabeleta (eve)
B)Martin R (sun)Open Controls-

Thats what i am planning to do but Norwich defense has been impressive and sunderland arent on top of thier game.

so Real draw Galatasary......they will win the CL this year, every bloody thing seems to be going for them (united fan still cursing the Nani red card)
Open Controls-
you need to move on, real deserved to win
Open Controls-
They did not, but I have moved on, nowt we say or do now will change anything. We will take what positives we can, and there are many, and come back next year
Open Controls -
"the better team lost" 😉

If Nani didnt get sent off & Utd went on to win that game, they'd be pretty much in the semi final now 🙂

Would you get rid of Sissoko or Michu to afford Robin?
With BArfa's injury it might mean Siss is less good an option.Open Controls-
surely you mean cabaye?
Open Controls-
Er, yes
Open Controls
-
-
HBA and Sissoko haven't played together in the PL, and he's done pretty well so far!
I'd get rid of Michu, tough fixtures and a blank to come soon.Open Controls-
no chance of Siss dropping deeper to cover Cabaye? I worry that that loss might affect his returns
Open Controls-
He won't play deeper, it'll be Anita and Tiote in the double pivot with Perch as back up.
Even last night when we were playing more of a 4321, Jonas played in Cabaye's role with Sissoko further forward.
That said, we'll miss Cabaye's creativity so he could lose out on service, it'll be a massive blow for us if he's out again.Open Controls-
would you still start him this week?
If I get Lamps I'll have to bench him or Remy, if not him or SnodgrassOpen Controls

HBA has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

who is everyone seeing as the best cheap mid for the run in? only going to be used as bench fodder but with the rotation worries would like guarenteed starts...
Options im thinking of are Maloney or Townsend? any others?Open Controls-
Maloney'll score more points imo, but could cause a bit of a benching issue, think I'd get frustrated having him on the bench every week as I'm backing him and Wigan to finish well as always.
If it's bench fodder, maybe saving the extra 0.5 is the way to go.Open Controls -
Maloney for me.
Open Controls
-
Trying to plan ahead a bit, is anyone actually getting any Everton players for the DGW? Other than Baines(too expensive) and Fellaini(probably suspension) i can't see anyone worth getting.
Open Controls -
ok I’ll ask once more. Since I have no Chelsea cover atm. Given their fixture pile up maybe it's a good thing?
a) Play Remy and Siss and bench Snod
b) Sell Snod to Lamps and bench Remy/Siss?Open Controls -
Just seen that Nolan, Noble and Cole are out for the Chelsea trip...soooo Hazard or Mata for Sissoko?
Open Controls-
Or Lampard
Open Controls
-
Is it worth taking an additional hit to bring in Rafael over Wilson?
Open Controls-
-
Thanks Dogba
Open Controls
-
-
bringing wilson in as a makeweight costs -4 but rafael necessitates a -8. have i got this right? if so, u have to ship someone else. slap me if i'm wrong but this is slightly confusing. thing is... out of all defenders i'd vote rafael as the likeliest to recoup hittery

Team with .8 ITB and 1 FT
Bego (Guzan)
Hill Davies Cameron (Demel Harte)
Walcott Michu Mata Bale (Sissoko)
Fletcher Sturridge Suarez
So many jumbled ideas, but the gist is to start planning for DGW 33 by getting in Man U./Arsenal players (other than Pienaar, I don't think I like any West Ham/Everton players through the DGW):
Michu/Fletcher > Rooney/4.3 Mid for -4
Michu/Sturridge > Rooney/Townsend for -4
Cameron > Mertesacker or Jenkinson for a FT (saving the extra money with the latter to upgrade the attack in future GWs)
Michu/Cameron > Santi Cazorla/Jenkinson
Any of these tickle your fancy?Open Controls -
Best captain choice?
Suarez
RVP
Benteke
Bale
MichuOpen Controls-
Bale due to form or Van Persie because Reading will probably fold faster than Superman on laundry day at Old Trafford
Open Controls
-
play davies (ARS) or hill (avl)
Open Controls-
Hill for me, fancy Ars to have the measure of Swa right from the first whistle ("battle hardened by Bayern")
