The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

We now have our Quarter-Finalists for this season’s Members Cup, as the weekend programme narrowed the field further. Those eight who made progress not only keep their name in the hat for this cup, they also guarantee qualification for the inaugural Fantasy Football Scout Shield where they will face off against the last eight from this season’s earlier Paddy Power Cup over the final four Gameweeks of the season.

Eunuch Jelly is the name that everyone will want to avoid in the last eight – he is now the highest ranked manager remaining in the tournament, having destroyed Stewport, himself ranked 771st before the weekend. Acquafresca will also fancy his chances – he’s the other manager ranked in the top 1000 to progress. Fuzzy Dunlop is perhaps the manager to look out for, as a former winner of this cup, he’s been there and done it and probably still has his cup final suit.

The draw for the Quarter-Finals, to be played out over Gameweek 32, will be published tomorrow afternoon.

Best option to fill the gap in my below WC team this week?

    a) Baines & Sissoko
    b) Distin & Walcott

    De Gea, Robles
    XXX, Sagna, Dawson, Demel, Wilson
    Bale, Fellaini, Santi, XXX, HRK
    RVP, Suarez, Berbatov

    Bank 0.0m

    a) Gives me the attacking upside of Baines, and a bit of flexibility on choosing my 3rd ARS player next week, i.e.:

Bale -> Walcott (if Suarez avoids a booking this week, and Walcott is confirmed fit), or
Suarez -> Giroud (if Suarez gets a booking)

    b) means I can save the transfer next week, thus getting an extra DGW player in for the later DGWs.

    Team right now-
    DDG, Bunn
    Harte, Davies, Clichy, Dawson, Fabio
    Bale, Mata, Caz, Sissoko, Maloney
    Rvp, Sturridge, Benteke

    Bank: 3.6m
Only have 3 players having DGW. Who to get in and how?

    Thinking of doing
    Harte > Sagna
    Benteke/Sturridge > Berbatov
    Maloney > Fellaini
    Davies > Baird maybe

    Schwarzer
    G. Johnson, Samba, Wilson
    Walcott, Cazorla, Bale, Sissoko
    Suarez, Lambert, RVP

    Subs: Turner, Snodgrass, Demel

What to do? Save FT for next week. If Walcott out, play Snoddy or transfer him for Lamps or Couthinho?

thoughts on this potential team for the DGW

    Current team:

    Mignolet (Federici)
    Evra Zabaleta Samba (Davies/Harte)
    Bale Walcott Cazorla Sissoko (Maloney)
    Suarez Benteke Berbatov

plan to make 4 transfers next week (8pt hit) to give me:

    De Gea (Fed)
    Evra Zabaleta Sagna (Davies/Harte)
    Walcott Cazorla Fellaini Maloney (Bale)
    Rooney Benteke Berbatov

gives me 8 DGW players, ideally would want RVP but money doesn't allow!

    thoughts?

Help required. I have a front 8 of

    Cazorla, Bale, Sissoko, Lampard, Nani
    Aguero, Rooney, Remy

My plan this week is nani to walcott and bench aguero but i am reading walcott might not be fit so would you:

    a) play aguero, bench nani, save transfer
    b) nani to fellaini and bench aguero
    c) something else

I am not keen to lose aguero as if he gets his place back this week he has Wigan at home the week after

He is yours/ ours worst nightmare. Not his season def. Injured all the time with his mind in Madrid and out of form. Not in competition rhythm. Sell him. To expensive liability.

Guys I am stumped... 1 FT this week and 0.1 in the bank and have a defensive line that looks like this:

    Cesar (WIG) - Szczesny (wba)

Martin R (SWA), Rafael (MCI), O'Brien (liv) - Clyne (rdg), Harte (SOU)

I cannot see any options for me this week to fix the Rafael/Szczesny/Harte problem that is any better than keeping my FT to bring in Felliani and Fabianski next week. I cannot bring in an Arsenal defender for Rafael as already have 2 Arsenal. Do I just save the transfer and pray that Rafael plays this week and has some part in the DGW next week or is there an option I am missing? Really appreciate the advice!

Morning guys. How are we liking Baines for the double? I'm thinking of getting him THIS week for a free, since my defense needs surgery and if I don't get him it means I got to choose between Zab (mun) or Harte (SOT), and since Harte wasn't even on the bench last GW I think I won't have to... current defense

    Zab GJ Wilson Harte Cuellar

So basically at the moment I only have 3 playing defenders, was thinking Cuellar -> Baines.

Lucky you, I wish I had that luxury! Cuellar to Baines looks like a good idea to me if you have the cash... you will have a pretty expensive defence then though!

That's true, it's amazing what you can afford when you don't have United strikers though. Not really interested for the double, it's too much of a lottery if either will play both games, coupled with the fact that they're scoring less lately and it's two away games.

Everton playing with a 3-back line was the fact that got me thinking about getting him this week, even if he has a tough fixture, him playing in an even more attacking role cannot be bad for attacking returns and Everton's form is picking up.

I'd play Zab and save the transfer... monitoring Baines for the double, but might be too pricey for me

Thanks. I'm a bit worried about not fielding a full 11 though, my bench is shot from injuries I could only field 11 last week because of Mata and Sturridge bowing out.

Reading havent kept a cleansheet in 10 games :O and SOT are in super form.

I dont know why it's so hard to choose for me. Both City and Reading will concede. It's just a matter of how many..

It should come down to attacking threat, in which Zabaleta is FAR superior to Pearce.

I feel Pearce has a genuine chance of CS, which outweighs Zab's attacking threat considering how incredibly tight United have been at the back lately.

Soton are scoring for fun and Reading don't know how to defend. I think both will concede, and I really can't see Utd keeping a CS in the derby...

In the last 7 home games Reading have kept 2 CS. Statistics is just about how you present them. I still feel they got a genuine chance of a CS. I don't think it'll happen, but it's possible, whereas Zab has ~no chance.
