First of all, apologies for the tardiness of this particular article, with all the excitement building up to the double Gameweek, we missed the fact that it failed to post earlier, resigning it to a sleepy Friday night slot. Better late than never, here’s how the Quarter-Finals of the Members Cup played out, together with the draw for the semi-final stages.

The last eight saw some very tight affairs, with “Maddocio” edging through in his clash with “mospace” by just the odd point. Former Members Cup winner, “Fuzzy Dunlop” experienced the agony of a two point defeat to “12 inch of fury”, while there was just four points separating the sides in our other pair of ties, as community posters and the top ranked managers remaining, “Acquafresca” and “Eunuch Jelly”, both made progress.

1Maddocio32-29www.msospace.com
2Fuzzy Dunlop38-4012 inch of fury
3Acquafresca32-28cuihe_508
4HeartOfTheCity28-42Eunuch Jelly

Semi-Final Draw

1MaddocioVsAcquafresca
2Eunuch JellyVs12 inch of fury

Eunuch Jelly, ranked 214 in the world, must surely be the favourite for the double Gameweek semi-final, he faces up to the Kiwi “12 inch of fury” in the last four, a player ranked some 16,000 places below him but armed with a Wildcard and 4.3 in the bank. That leaves “Acquafresca” and “Maddocio” to contest for the other coveted place in our final.

These ties will be played out over the fixtures spanning this weekend and midweek, with the final and third-place playoff taking place in Gameweek 34, before the last eight of this cup meet the last eight of our earlier cup tournament in the first Fantasy Football Scout shield.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Evra was really more nailed on until the last few weeks that he got rested.

Smalling is now injured, so I just believe Rafael should have more chance to start both games on DGW.

against Chelsea or Wigan? Assuming he plays his full strength side against Chelsea then he may play against Wigan...it is really the only problem I have this week that I have no subs to come for my defenders if that is the case

Why won't Lamp be rested again?

He played 90" on Thursday, so I think he has a chance to be rested on Sunday.

By this logic, I believe he has a chance to start on Tuesday. But it's all guesswork.

    de Gea, Robles
    Sagna, Figueroa, Wilson, Rafael, Demel

    RvP, Berbatov, Anichebe

10 DGWers. Not sure how well it sets me up for the followings weeks 'cause i haven't done the research. I do have 1.8 in the bank though which will allow me to do Carzorla > Bale for GW35.

    Evening. Bracketology is upon us.

Wanted to post the brackets once again for the Deadzone Draft GW33-38 -- here is a spreadsheet for those who want to track them:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsdNSNxt5S4VdFBWLUN3MkwyUjlkcDdmTzNGa1ZXSlE&usp=sharing

In addition, here is the link to the brackets I put in a lengthy post a fortnight ago:

    http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2013/03/31/the-big-numbers-gameweek-31/comment-page-7/#comments

Didn't want to repost and take up valuable site real estate with so many making important transfer decisions. Good luck to the owners -- I will post the results after each GW.

Have you looked at Pienaars last 10 gameweeks?

He got 13 on the 22nd December and then followed that up with 10 games without doing anything except 1 assist, then did well before he got injured.

I know it is too late and he could do well but I think he falls into the category of DGW madness player

He;s big differential though. Great mentality, great drive forward, I'd like to have him but already took -8 hit. As a born Ajaxfan I never doubt Steven

-8 points to send Sissoko, Shaw and Mariappa to the bench for Berbatov, Fellaini, and Rafael
    Will this end well?

        Probably right but with
Mertesacker, Debuchy, and Walcott early doubts and Mata possible rotation
        added depth seemed reasonable

            strikers are good
midfield, I be slightly worried with 2 everton mids but I guess pienaar can easily be swapped out.
Defence is ok, rangel is a different option. Possibly downgrade him and get 3.7 to demel at 4m

I see your point about Pienaar but i wish i had more money. I think for 6.6 hes the best option this week.

Don't like Fellaini and Pienaar combo.

Everton have only won two of their 11 previous Barclays Premier League meetings with Queens Park Rangers (D3 L6).
The R's have scored 24 times in these 11 games against Everton; against no other side have they scored more than 17 in the Premier League.

Thanks! Thats sounds scary bad.... Though i dont know who id have for 6.6 this week! Picking pienaar purely because hes the cheapest attacking doubler this week. (Some people bought carrick fgs! Lol)

Thanks though, i have a few hours to mull it over.

Manolev in for Davies... Davies is doing crap, might lose his place and doesn't play this week... Manolev is a possible OOP

Rafael or Zaba... Can't decide on who to get

Already have DDG.. raf may not play both but the double is a nice prospect... zaba might have some rotation and maicon and richards almost fit

    Any suggests?

Currently have the armband on Fellaini but thinking about the game tomorrow, if anyone can deal with him surely it could be Samba? Baines hurling crosses in is playing to Samba and Hill's strengths. Still, it is QPR we're talking about. For some reason I'm not at all confident in captaining Cazorla

You might be right, I'm not basing this on any stats or anything. It's just I've seen rings run round them by teams going through their defence. Surely if there's anything Samba and Hill can do it's win headers
