United complete the job thanks to a devastating hat-trick from Robin Van Persie as Villa are dismissed in front of jubilant Old Trafford faithful. Here’s the Stock Check on Monday’s action…

On the Up

Robin Van Persie
The Dutchman chose the perfect occasion to emphatically underline his value, both to United and to his Fantasy owners, with a superbly taken hat-trick. On the day that saw Luis Suarez likely banned for the remainder of the season, Van Persie’s pursuit of the Golden Boot now looks complete having moved to 24 for the season with tonight’s goals. With so many Fantasy managers handing Van Persie the armband, tonight’s events will have opened up a chasm between the “have” and “have-nots”, impacting on many a mini-league scenario with just four Gameweeks remaining. The concern now is whether Van Persie will earn a rest or continue to find profit over the remaining matches.

Phil Jones
The former Blackburn man was, once again, outstanding. Jones has now started the last four league outings and looks firmly in favour, whether that be at centre-back, or alongside Michael Carrick in central midfield. With four games remaining and a 5.6 price tag, Jones would normally find plenty of interest, were it not for double Gameweek distractions.

Shinji Kagawa
Another player who has come into bloom in recent weeks. Tonight was Kagawa’s third consecutive start, his fourth in the last five. The Japanese international looks set to go on enjoying the tail end of the season with Fantasy managers no doubt making note of his impact with next term in mind.

Going Down

Wayne Rooney
It’s rather remiss to knock Rooney on a night of celebration but there’s little doubt that those holding the striker as an alternative to Van Persie paid the ultimate price this evening. While Rooney kept pace with the Dutchman for periods of the season and even looked a stronger option at times, the run-in has seen Van Persie put the debate to bed with five goals in three matches.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Last six gw's and Agueros minutes; 0, 0, 20, 20, 45, 0.
    He's not flagged so I suppose he's okay now?

    But is it just stupid to do Berba => Aguero for a hit this week?
    Not expecting much from Berba tough.

    Well my decision not to take a hit backfired

    Suarez Giroud > RVP C Lukaku

    Cost me 26 points and moved down 2k places, now I'm left with having to remove them for a hit this week anyway.

    Probably been asked to death but which Man City striker are we expecting to get the most gametime between now and the end of the season?

    Going to do RVP -> Whichever one but stuck for who!

      Extra note: you wouldn't want Dzeko, so that narrows it down to Tevez or Aguero, and I can't see the price difference worth it unless Aguero is fit and on form

    a) Sagna -> Vertonghen
    b) DDG -> Hart
    c) DDG -> Lloris
    d) none

    all would be for a hit, and most likely doing at least 2 before DGW

        for a hit?

        Only trouble with B is I'm short of Sagna -> Vert

        Would have to do Baines -> Vert instead...

    I think attaining a respectable rank by the end of my first season is going to be down to the player I have refused to buy up until now, Tevez.

    I feel like a filthy whore, putting my dignity aside for points.

    BUT I NEED THOSE POINTS

    All those who are saying hits doesnt pay off are wrong...
    Took a hit two weeks ago and jumped from 148K to 99K with 84 points...
    Took a hit last week and jumped from 99K to 61K with 102 points...

    Now a major dilemma for this week and next week (DGW)...
    I can get two of A) Luiz, B) Vertonghen and C) Hart

    A and B have potential for attacking points along defensive points, C has potenial for defensive and save points... But nothing is guaranteed.

    Please help me in choosing two of A, B and C?

          Then no, although I would rather go for Hart for a DGW keeper as I expect Chelsea to not keep a CS against Spurs and Man United... Only suggested Azpi as he has shown some attacking form...
