Peaks and troughs – every Fantasy season has them and, this week, we revel in the Professor’s major trough in a futile attempt to break the man. After Robin Van Persie issues the boffin a spanking, the Professor shows his mettle by taking it on the chin. Admirable stuff.

While we’d have gladly devoted this entire episode to such gloating, we do manage to squeeze in the regulars, whilst Jonty turns up with more community gold: the tale of a globe trotting Fantasy manager who takes his advice off Frankfurt clubbers and QPR fans, whilst trying to figure out the Russian phrase for “please, wireless, I’m desperate – I have Djibril Cisse up front!”.

By the way, the Professor isn’t the only one who can take criticism on the chin. Granville and I want some feedback on the ScoutCast and my co-host has worked on a short survey to get your views. Take five minutes to help us out while you listen in via this link.

Hi guys anyone wanna help me out here please? Need to bench one from the front 8. Currently have Kone, but as Mark suggested, he is Wigan's key to staying up. If Silva is still unfit, I would feel happy to bench him for Kone... oh and Ignore Aguero (c). Cheers!

  Athletes to some extent are physically superior due to genetics however there are many people with this superiority to varying extents. The level of effort put in then raises the standard again. For the less technicallly able players it is just luck who gets picked up by the bigger clubs at younger ages and develop to greater degrees again ;this holds true for lower PL side-quality player. However to be World Class the genetic and commitment both need to be present as well as the luck (and all the other little factors)
