With the ScoutCast survey results still resonating, we make minor tweaks to the trusted formula and still manage to clock up our longest episode yet. To be honest, with a double Gameweek looming and “Balegate†to pick through, this one could have run and run, particularly once I’d got “Significant Touch†by Phil Collins trapped in my head.

There’s plenty of discussion, another cameo from the Professor and his suffering Fantasy fortunes, the weekend preview and another Full Jonty which, this week, focuses on one Fantasy managers mysterious message from the “other sideâ€. An event that inspires Jonty to go on the hunt for superstitious Fantasy managers.

Walk under our ladder and download this week’s episode via this link or clutch your rabbit’s foot and stream the nonsense from the player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Managed to get bottom of last page!

Think I’m set on my WC team.

    Hart
    Vert, Luiz, Boyce
    Bale (c), Mata, Michu, Walcott
    Kone, Tevez, Lukaku

    McCarthy, Enrique, Henderson, Sagna

    1.1m in bank.
Good to go or do you reckon I should change anything?

              Good fixtures for all 3.

You have Sagna (h) to Wigan in 37 and Demel (h) to Reading in 37

Coutinho @ Fulham then (h) to QPR.

Not alot of good fixture combos for both final fixtures apart from City, Liverpool and Arsenal.

player wise i think you're good, so i've had a look at accessorising a bit in order to try and make you more marketable.
i've given everyone a red racing stripe, apart from hart who i gave to instead as i want flight rather than speed.
i was disapponted in tevez's finishing last gw so i've given him pele's head to trick him.
finally i've sprinkled glitter on the whole team just to add some sparkle

Anyone think Hazard and not Mata is no1 with Rafa? Again he starts with Hazard when there is a job to be done and again takes him off, bringing on Mata and exposing him to injury risks when the job is done and no need to risk either...

you've got it completely backwards. He rested Mata because he wants him in the crucial premier league games and knows Hazard is younger/fitter/less injury prone.

There was no real job to be done tonight, they were comfortable most of the night. The big job is the premier league games to come, and Mata is 100% rested for them, so your assessment is incorrect.

yeah, reckon I'll sell Baines over Sagna as well as I'd be more comfortbale benching him so I'd rather spend a defensive transfer now rather than 1 now and 1 later.

It's then a question of do I keep Pienaar and 1.1 or Fellaini?

@Podcast topics. Bale assist could have been given as if he would have not gotten the touch, Boyce might have actually made a clearence.

Also on changing the PL game. making it more complicated could scare away some of the casual players(which the PL does not want to do)

I've not listened yet, but on changing the game, all they'll do is tinker around the edges, not make big changes like DMs or AMs - the more complicated games are far less popular.

Yes he might, but is that really an assist.

I have a similar analogy with a goal.
If a player has a shot on target and it's deflected in but without the deflection the goalie would have saved it, should that be a goal or an own goal. They always give it as a goal for the attacker. The positive touch, i.e. the shot, is rewarded.

Same for an assist, you give it to the player who made the significant touch.

Im not arguing and dont have a clear view on what is really an assist in those cases. This just seems like the most likely reason why it was given in other sources and would make sense in my mind.

I can see this DGW being a big disappointment:

City - hardly any player will place twice
Chelsea - stinking fixtures and chances of rotation for the attacking players
Spurs - everyone has Bale and their defence is crap
Swansea - everyone has Michu, noone else worth it
Wigan - people expecting the likes of Kone (2,2,2,2) to tear up trees.
WBA - Nothing to play for, Lukaku often benched against the big teams

He dropped him against Arsenal only a few games ago. WBA have had nothing to play for for ages so why drop him for that game?

Perhaps Clarke just likes to play certain tactics against the big teams and Lukaku doesn't fit in to those tactics.

Possibly..although I think a lot has to do with Shane Long who's been nothing short of a disaster for most of the last few months...He's almost duty bound to persevere with Long until he can replace him because if, and when, Lukaku is returned to Chelsea he ain't got a lot left..Maybe that's it...
