This week’s ScoutCast episode reminds us that there really is life outside of Fantasy Football.

Like the pursuit of the “most consecutive hours spent in one building” for instance, or perhaps the “most impressive eating feat”. Both are key events, alongside Fantasy Premier League ranking, in an annual set of “Bloke Olympics” revealed courtesy of this week’s rather different “Full Jonty”. Our friend in the community brings an extraordinary tale of a top Fantasy manager who runs his life like an achievement list – not to be missed.

Around that, we find time to pop in on an off-colour Professor, welcome Mr Moyes to Old Trafford and discuss the options presented by the Michu fallout.

Take your place amongst the medals via this link or polish your Olympic rings via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Enrique – Dawson – Zabaleta
    Bale – Walcott (c) – Hazard – Michu
    Rvp – Tevez – Lukaku
    (Turnbull, Shaw, Mariappa, Punch)

Yeh as much as I like Mourinho he isnt the man for Man Utd. Too big a personality. I do reckon however he will be at Chelsea for a longtime now, unless Roman decides to sack him again. But I feel if its his decision he may want to retire there.

Although I'm quite taken in by Mourinho, he's a great coach, he would most definitely have turned the whole organisation upside down. A revolution isn't needed at OT, just a few tweaks here and there.

I don't think using Guardiola is a good example. He was at the club for yrs and built their playing philosophy from the youths up. Getting the senior team playing that way before he was even manager. I've stopped voicing my opinion on the matter. Not one of us knows what way it's gonna pan out.

Weak?! He built the club up from the 4th division, knew every player & staff member before he even got the senior job. It's a completely different scenario.

I agree Granville what works for one may not work for others. I always thought Utd would bring in Ole or someone for a few yrs under the wing but they've obviously thought about this situ for yrs so who am I to judge. ( Until it goes tits up 🙂 )

United promoted Wilf McGuiness to follow Busby in exactly this way and that didn't work out. No one really knows how it's going to work out and I find it pathetic that many people, especially United fans, have already made their minds up.

never felt comfortable with my team this year. wondered how I went from top 10k to a terrible top 200k this year. I took 32 hits for a whopping -128pts. Now I really do think those hits did help me with a lot of good pickups, but it shows I played poor this season. Trying to end strong to squeeze into top 100k

For the pointless away record of Moyes, here is his home record against Top teams:

2012-13: Defeated United, City Spurs. Draw with Arsenal.
2011-12: Defeated City, Chelsea, Spurs. Lost to United, Arsenal
2010-11: Defeated City, Chelsea, Spurs. Draw with United, Lost to Arsenal
2009-10: Defeated City, Chelsea, United. Draw with Spurs. Lost to Arsenal.

I would say, he has done quite well in the past few seasons.

I could do Rafa > Enrique and drop Dawson...

There's a fair chance one of those three won't start. The problem is, who? I think I'd stick, I reckon it will be easier to judge who might start in the last GW since City won't have a midweek game and the lineup for Chelsea versus Aston Villa and Benfica should give some answers.

Cheers Dogba. That sounds like a sound tactic - I've closed a gap in my ML from 25 to 6pts, so really don't want to start knee-jerking now. As you say, it could be far better to have 2FTs in the last week with a better picture of who'll play.

Have you seen Citys remaining fixtures? Keep Aguero IMO,

      Michu to Coutinho, OSCAR (form)

I actually did TEVEZ AND MICHU to CAZORLA and STURRIDGE, i am keeping Aguero.

I think Martinez will be Everton manager. 😉

Regarding the Moyes appointment, MUN could have chosen any manager in the world. I mean, who wouldn't want that job?

So why on earth did they let SAF influence the decision so much and choose Moyes?

OK, he can manage at Prem level but he's nothing special. My thoughts are that he's probably got the right mentality to be controlled by the Glazers and not be bothered by it and SAF loves the idea of his own clone carrying on where he left off.

It's 2013 not 1963. The world was a small place and English footy was the best. But times change.

Even Fergie knew it was time to stop.

MUN are international pedigree, no doubt. But a whole generation of fans around the world are now asking "Who the hell is Moyes?".

The appointment lacks ambition. Bad signal.

      WUM?

Come on Sporting, Moyes has pedigree, he can man manage, he will have loads of support, be able to buy the best players, hes a great pick.

Glazers dont get involved in the football side of things and they wont do.

I don't know. Klopp, Pep or Hiddink.

International club needs an international manager. Someone who's seen more than PNE and Liverpool.

Klopp is a great example actually. Hired from a mid ranked Bundesliga team who hadn't won trophies.

I want us to create our own legends not just buy in someone else's.

Do you think United will keep their style of play when Moyes takes charge?

I personally hope they do. I also hope they keep Rooney and don't sign Fellaini because I don't think Fell will suit United's style of play; however, that's just my opinion...

Fellaini could fill a void in the holding midfield role. Giggs and Scholes will probably retire at the end of the season as well now that SAF has gone.

    Team for the week:
    Lloris
    Johnson Clichy* Luiz*
    Silva* Walcott Bale Fellaini
    Benteke Adebayor Ba
    (Nicholls**, Michu**, Scharner, Pearce**)
*Might not play, ** Won't play

Got 1 FT, worth getting in another defender in case I'm left with only two or make the more attacking move and swap Michu for HBA/Lampard and bench Benteke?
