We’re down to the semi-final stage of the first ever Fantasy Football Scout shield tournament, as four of the community’s top Fantasy managers go head-to-head in one last bid for glory.

This year’s Members Cup runner-up, Eunuch Jelly, is on a collision course with an old adversary as he progressed to the final four, along with Acquafresca – the victorious manager in that final. The Jellyman saw off Giavara555 by a ten-point margin in the last eight to record the second highest Gameweek score in the tournament thanks, in no short measure, to Joe Hart’s 15 point haul. Giavara555’s 12-point hit failed to come off and the former Fantasy Premier League number one was toppled.

Acquafresca’s incredible run of cup form continued with a 5-point victory over “Ricky Smokes Lets Go”. The latter decided against a points hit and that may well have been a deciding factor, along with Eden Hazard’s double Gameweek failure. Acquafresca prevailed, with a solid Gameweek helping him climb to 508 in the FPL rankings.

He will meet MrKK in the semis after his hugely impressive 93-point tally eased him past MileHigh in the Quarters. Now up to 607 in the world, the tussle with Acquafresca will surely be keenly contested. MileHigh can find ample consolation for his defeat from a superb current rank of 53, despite falling ten places in Gameweek 36.

The final tie was just as one-sided, with former Cup winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, demolishing “Tommy Tynan’s Left Shin Pad” by a 17-point margin. His 78 points helped Fuzzy climb to 2025 in the FPL rankings and he will now approach his semi with Eunuch Jelly with some confidence, despite being the lowest ranked manager remaining in the tournament.

Ties will be played over Gameweek 37, leaving the final Gameweek to decide our winner.

Quarter-Final Results

Eunuch Jelly82 – 72Giavara555
Ricky Smokes lets go73 – 78Acquafresca
Mr.KK93 – 71MileHigh
Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad

Semi-Final Draw

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Nah, people are torn on the issue. I guess most believe he'll play? I'm skeptical since he's got 2 x 90 in the last 2 and has Europa Cup Final coming up midweek. I might be paranoia kicking in with a season of Benitez, Mata did look very sharp and not fatigued versus Tottenham. I'm probably worrying over nothing.

Yeah, I'm good thanks mate. Haven't been on too much in a while, been busy at work as well as running a real-life football team, so I've just kept my team ticking over without putting too much effort in.

A strong squad always helps, I went a bit hit crazy in the past few weeks, but avoiding doing anything this week. Can't believe the Fergie news, didn't expect it to come out so suddenly like that!

I know, I'm not exactly jumping for joy with Moyes now at the helm, but I think he's a better long-term choice than Mourinho. I'm backing him all the way. We'll take Baines, though! Bale would be a great addition, but it's very wishful thinking. I'd be happy to see the back of Rooney as well, unless Moyes can have some sort of miraculous effect on him.

    repost

I am thinking of playing 4 at the back this week. The players I'm considering are:

Debuchy ( QPR) Garrido (WBA) Johnson (FUL) Ivanovic (AVL)

    bench: Kone, puncheon, Davies.

so really I'm asking if I should play those 4 at the back or swap one of them for Kone, and if so which one?

Lampard has played over 60 mins 21 times. In those games he has 13 goals.
Looks sure to start this week.

Not even an option on captain poll.
    Oversight me thinks?

I guess captain's pool was setup before the "confirmation" that he would play. But I agree, he's a viable captain option this week. Although I wouldn't say he's up there with Walcott/RVP/Bale.

with mourinho coming in next season he will be assured to stay so getting the record in the final 2 games isn't so much of a rush anymore.

He should start this weekend but never know with benitez

Lampard will try and break the record when he can, who knows what the future holds at the minute his contract is up very soon. And in my opinion he will smash it vs Villa scoring me 15pts in the process.

Problem is, Villa are in good form and will be fighting for their lives. I still fancy him though, but captaining him is risky. Could pay well off if you are chasing!

In 1998 the bottom 5 teams of the whole of the 92 clubs of the football league were Swansea, Cardiff, Hull, Brighton & Doncaster.

3 or 4 of those sides will be in the Premier League next season. Never give up hope.

Tied on points with rival. Who to bench?

Kone (ars) - Don't think he will do well but opponent has him.
Silva (rdg) - Might be benched and get 10mins at the end.
Lukaku (nor) - Predicting a tight game, could be 2pts.

Really not sure, it's between Kone and Silva right? Play it safe with Kone or go for the differential in Silva?
