The Premier League fixture list is now published and available for our perusal. We’ll be working on our fixture tickers throughout the day, with the aim to get these to you as soon as possible to offer a means of analysis of the opening six Gameweeks and, if you’re a member, the entire season.

Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea boss opens with a home game against Hull before the Blues make their way to Old Trafford in David Moyes’ first home match in charge of Man United. Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge clash with Aston Villa, scheduled for Gameweek 3, has been postponed due to European Super Cup duties – if this is moved to Gameweek 1, major investment will be on the cards from Fantasy managers.

Moyes opens his tenure with a trip to Swansea and also squares up to Liverpool at Anfield in the first month – a tricky start for the defending champions, who also entertain neighbours City in Gameweek 5. City’s opening three matches look enticing, though. Manuel Pellegrini welcomes Newcastle to the Etihad in his first game in charge before City face back-to-back matches with a couple of promoted sides – a trip to Cardiff precedes a home showdown with Hull.

Roberto Martinez’s first three games in charge at Everton suggest the Toffees could be quick out the blocks. Trips to Norwich and Cardiff, with a home match against West Brom, will afford plenty optimism from the blue half of Merseyside, while Liverpool have also been handed a decent start, aside from the home game with United.

The likes of Southampton, Spurs and West Ham all look strong investment options over the opening six Gameweeks, though Villa and Swansea have been dealt a blow. Paul Lambert’s side face Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City in the first six, while Michael Laudrup’s men go head-to-head with United, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal.

We plan to focus on the schedule in further detail over the next few days, with a “Frisking the Fixtures” piece rolled out soon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

i think bale is the only essential, the rest you try and fit around him.
his scoring once he moved positions was outrageous. i think with a good chance of penalties (tottenham getting 0 all season was equally outrageous), a few new signings around him/sandro getting fit enough to replace parker and the usual development with age he will only improve on that too.

      depends on price primarily
also depends on how they fit in with your other gk and defs (rotation)
and for defenders it depends if they have attacking threat, for gk's it depends if they get a lot of save points. for example swansea's first season in the league vorm was much more popular than swansea defs cu he racked up a ton of save points and had a couple penalty saves as well

Doesn't really matter if its in the quarters or the semis, if you want to be the best, you have to beat the rest at the end of the day. Could be an advantage for Murray anyway if he does win against Nadal because then he may have an "easier" semi final.

It's hard to say which will have reasonably priced defenders but West Ham will almost certainly get a price hike.

I've seen alot of predicted player prices that seem over inflated to me, especially in midfield.

For example, Hazard at 11m 😯

Last season the most expensive starting MF player price was Silva at 10.5 after his impressive first season. Any reason to think prices are going to inflate across the whole game?

Start of last season we all remarked how reasonable the prices seemed.

In terms of what's goign on with the fixtures in general, it seems like a damn good set up this ear. Whilst there are some tough games for the top teams, this is good as it frees up the poorer teams to play one another, giving us plenty of good budget options.

All in all, I like these fixtures.

Who would be an ideal (and reasonably realistic) signing to replace the following at their respective clubs if they happened to be sold?:

      2. Could they ever pull off Lewo from BD? Remy at a cut price to partner Sturridge? Soldado?
      3. Lewo!
      4. Hijack Higuain if they don't get Cavani. Cavani himself lol.

this pelligrini set-up looks man city applicable to me. a little nippy argentinian up front on his own with a little spanish playmaker in the hole, and a speedy spanish touchline hogger on the right, a yaya toure and a fernandinho holding the fort up.

NOR/STO is beating that so far (over the first half season that is)

Although having said that, running on a SOU lone keeper doesn't seem like a bad idea anyway

It depends on how hard you wanna go on offense really.

After all, Bego + Benchwarmer probably helped some teams get RVP + Tevez + Absurdly expensive midfield by Christmas for some people anyway

If Suarez get sold I reckon Liverpool should jump on Soldado and also buy Nani if the money stretches that far. Nani isn't consistent but he's far better than Downing at any rate imo. Soldado knows how to finish although I think he has a weakness in build up play (don't know that much about him).

Nani would thrive at Liverpool I reckon. I get the feeling he needs to feel he's his side's Big Cheese to perform well, and he certainly would be that that in a Suarez-less Liverpool

So that's not RVP in my team then. Bale is utterly essential with those fixtures (though I think he was anyway); will want to go heavy on Chelsea considering they've got Hull and Villa; Kun is very liekly to be in my team with that start.

    Sorry Robin

I wouldn't go too heavy on Cheslea since you will probably want to sell them by GW3.

One defender is more than enough since we'll want to sell defensive cover in time for GW2 (utd) and the one attacker can go in GW3, unless they have an amazing start and we hold them for the blank.

I agree with Chrissy Waddle, your price estimates are too high.

    5.0 - 4.5
    6.0 - 5.0 - 4.5 - 4.5 - 4.0
    11.0 - 9.5 - 8.0 - 5.5 - 5.5
    13.0 - 7.5 - 6.5

RVP, Bale, Hazard, Oscar, Terry?, Van Wolfswinkel 😎
