HomeCrowd Comments – A Pre-Season Survey

HomeCrowd has been with us for just over a month now and, as we approach a busy pre-season period, we thought it was a good time to get your views on how you’ve found it so far.

We’ve created a short ten question, multiple choice survey that will help us gauge your feelings on the new comments system and understand how it’s being used so we can work to improve things in the coming months.

With the Fantasy games still yet to hit full swing, it would be great if you could spare us five minutes and pop on over to this link to complete the survey. Many thanks.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Would anyone consider Benteke over Bale? You'd save a bucket of cash and he'd probably be better value...

I might have both, but I wouldn't go Benteke over Bale.

Some people would, but Bale's too explosive to be ignored and they have Crystal Palace, Swansea and Arsenal (a high-scoring game by tradition) in the first 3. I might double up.

Benteke over RVP for me. Nobody over Bale.

RVP? The guy on pens, set pieces, top FPL scorer for two seasons running, and leading the attack for the Premier League Champions. He's fixture proof and can score a hattrick against ANYONE.

I'm a United fan so obviously have massive love for the guy.

But I think this year will see a host of strikers who show much more value for money and will allow me to stock up on Bale + Chelsea mids for the DGW.

          Frontline will look something like:

          Sturridge, Benteke, RVW

          Cisse, RVW, Lambert/New Sou Striker

          Aguero, RVW, Rodriguez

          etc.

It's not about value for money. If you put only value players in you would have 20m left over. Get RVP for captaincy and fit players around him. He will be top scorer again.

I'd much rather Bale over RVP. Equally captainable, fixtures are lovely and easier to fit in.

Actually it's a balance between value and top point scorers otherwise everyone would pick the best players with a budget of £150m. (They'd spam FPL until they upped the budget).

I'm obviously not looking for just value because with that frontline I'd want a midfield including:

Bale, Mata & Hazard (Chelsea DGW).

Mata x 2, Hazard x 2, Benteke is better than RVP, Nolan, Kagawa or whichever mid priced mids you'd have to settle for.

@ Dynamo Chicken - I am indeed a Rangers fan and a member of the Tartan Army, so ive follow Stevie Whittakers career. Hes naturally a right back who powers forward but can also play on the right wing and at CB if needed. At Norwich I suspect he'll be behind Martin in pecking order.

If Benteke does head to Spurs which in light of the Ade news does look more likely what would one do. Considering what he achieved at Villa in one of the worst teams they have had for many a year, imagine his potential at Spurs, The problem then becomes the Bale factor. Do you just get him? To get both would be risky, but if Benteke carries on from last season surely at his price will be impossible to ignore. It may be there will be a case for ignoring Bale instead. Before ye start getting out the strait jackets, it may prove not to be as crazy as it sounds!

You might if Benteke starts banging them in every game. His presence could also dimish Bales returns. That fact is the big price we pay for Bale this season, is for the expection of similiar returns from last season. This is far from a certainty, will nt be easy for him to equal or surpass last seasons achievements.

You might be right. Last season Bale had no choice but to produce, as the rest of the team weren't doing it. The burden will be lessened with Benteke.

Important to isolate players in terms of position, Bale as a midfielder, a winger even full back is streets ahead of RVP, as a striker wouldn't be fit to shine Van Persies boots!

Zlatan is the sort of person that would make a move to Arsenal. He wants to be number 1 wherever he is and at Arsenal that would surely be the case. I'm surprised he's not already been linked with Chelsea though, unless he has and I missed it lol.
