Hull City boss Steve Bruce added to his forward options late last week by acquiring Danny Graham on a season-long loan deal from Sunderland. The former Swansea man is the club’s seventh signing of the summer and follows the likes of Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Maynor Figueroa and Ahmed Elmohamady to the KC Stadium as The Tigers prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Having fallen out of favour under Paolo Di Canio after just six months at Sunderland, Graham’s security of game time looks set for a significant increase in the season ahead. Judging by his new manager’s comments, it’s clear that Bruce – who has an option to make the deal permanent at the end of 2013/14 – is a huge fan of the 27-year-old:

    What's all this about Sturridge missing the start of the season? Scaremongering of what?
    I've had a look at Aspas and I dont think he's top quality, so difficult to get Liverpool attacking cover

      Studge was expected to be out for several months after the last international, but he has apparently started running lately so SHOULD be fine. Just keep an ear out

      i'm not sure why people are so concerned with getting liverpool attacking cover, when there's 4 if not 5 teams who easily take priority. once they've got utd city arsenal chelsea and spurs cover i can't imagine anyone would have enough for a liverpool player as well. *shrug* granted, i'd probably prioritise liverpool over chelsea currently, and utd were it not for rvp.

    OK, bit of a difference for my team this year. Going travelling in September so won't get a chance (don't really want) to update my team this season but as I can't bear not to play for the first 5 GW's wanted to have a go at making a team that I can tweak until I fly out, then have players that will (barring injuries/suspensions) go on for the rest of the season.

    I have this so far:

    Boruc (Marshall)
    G.Johnson - Turner (NOR) - Shaw (Collins, Baker)
    Bale - Lampard - Ramsey - De Guzman - Coutinho
    RVP - Giroud (Maynard)

      Mertesacker Kompany Johnson (Collins -1) (Parr -2)

      Bale(C) Walcott Snodgrass Noble (some nailed on 4.5 mid -3)

    Been looking at three-way defensive rotations, probably been mentioned around these parts already but a Norwich (Garrido), Southampton (Shaw) and Everton (Coleman) rotation looks decent.

      Personally, it's made me resolve to steer clear of City until we see how they'll line up and play together. But I'm more tempted by Silva/Aguero than either of the new boys as of now.

          I have difficulty separating my love for him as a player and his shortcomings as a fantasy option. But he's an elite assist man, the new bonus may help him, and 6-10 goals wouldn't be out of the question I don't think.

      Negredo looks like an out-and-out goalscorer, plus he'll be the new manager's preferred choice (hopefully) as he's his "marquee" signing.
      He's in my team atm.
