Hull City boss Steve Bruce added to his forward options late last week by acquiring Danny Graham on a season-long loan deal from Sunderland. The former Swansea man is the club’s seventh signing of the summer and follows the likes of Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Maynor Figueroa and Ahmed Elmohamady to the KC Stadium as The Tigers prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Having fallen out of favour under Paolo Di Canio after just six months at Sunderland, Graham’s security of game time looks set for a significant increase in the season ahead. Judging by his new manager’s comments, it’s clear that Bruce – who has an option to make the deal permanent at the end of 2013/14 – is a huge fan of the 27-year-old:

Hey, second round, let me know what you all think!

    Mignolet (davies)

    Collins, Mert, Nast, Coleman, Chester

    Bale, Hazard, Coutinho, Snodgrass, Koren

    Aguero, Lukku, Gayle

    1. This is based on chelsea DGW, would take out hazard and/or lukaku before the blank

how so? Paulinho will play an advanced role and will get plenty of assists if they get a top striker in. Fellaini is a no brainer, Silva (if he get the gametime) and was trying to get walcott in for arteta. Whats your midfield?

Paulinho will play in a position like Lampard. He might get assists, he might get nothing.

Fallaini might play very deep. Silva might not even play.

But good luck, I much rather like an experiment than the generic team.

Im not sure about an advanced role for Paulinho, fellaini doesnt appeal to me, silva might not get gametime, arteta might benefit from new bonus but still not goal scorer.

          mine is

I dont know too much, I do hear good things though, he is the focal point for the whole team.

I plan on rotating him and Koren depending on fixtures, plus at 5 mil he frees up a lot of funds.

How is my midfield generic and you have Bale hazard and snodgrass?? I would have thought that too was a "generic" team. and why would fellaini play deep if his attacking role is so lethal. Everyone is harping on about hazard wihtout a mention for fellaini, with the number of chelsea midfielders, you can gaurantee hazard will also be a rotation risk imo. im in two minds on arteta and silva, my heavy forward line gives me limited options for big hitters in the midfield

you need to relax, nobody said it was generic, it could just use a bit more work. dont take constructive criticism personally.

People are playing hazard just for the potential DGW in week 1.

It seems there will be no DGW, then version 2 is:

    Vorm
Yoshida - Ramage - Baines (I am sure he will be a winger this year : P)
Cazorla - Nolan - Hazard - Bale - Dyer (he seems in form)
Ruiz - Giroud (if no one else comes)

    Marshall - Lambert - Turner - Chester

    Mert Clyne BTurner Chester Parr

Bale Walcott(Haz if DGW) Mirallas Snodgrass Koren

    RVP Berbs JRod

After alot of thought Im pretty happy with this team.

Im happy to forgo City cover because of rotation risk and Cheslea cover if they dont have the DGW.

The defence is the only weak area, but if you are going to have any weakness surely you want it in defence.

i just became a member and wow! this site really does have some handy gear in the members' section

using the comparison tool, i've decided Coutinho may well be the best player for FPL mids (Outside of bale)

    He creates chances
    takes chances
never runs back or waste time tackling (perhaps less likely to get yellow)

Interesting reading on the Bluemoon forum a lot of people seem to think Dzeko is still in control of the starting lone striker role, I still think its 50/50 who will start but believe that Dzeko is one of the most underrated strikers in the premier league at the moment (especially on the site where some people seem to think he isn't going to play at all and may as well leave)

So, since nobody will give me judgement on my team, the lease I could get is a vote:

Keep in mind both are assuming DGW for Chealsea:

    A) Mignolet (Davis)
    Mert, Nast, Coleman, Collins, Chester
    Bale, Hazard, Coutinho, Snodgrass, Koren
    Aguero, Gayle, Lukaku

    B) Boruc (Mannone)
    Nast, Toure, Coleman, Collins, Chester
    Bale, Hazard, Mirallas, Snodgrass, Koren
    RVP, Gayle, (Lambert/Kone/Dzeko/Berb/JROD)

    Please give me your thoughts!

can you guys honestly seen United selling Rooney to Arsenal or Chelsea? cuz I don't think they'd want to risk selling him to a rival and have that hurt them

Rooney isn't for sale. United won't sell unless the bid is ridiculous or Rooney puts in a transfer request.

Apparently Mata, Torres & Azpilicueta will miss GW1 match against Hull.

Lukaku - welcome to my team...

don't forget about ba or a potential new signing (though I don't see which top notch strikers there are really left to be signed this summer...)

"What happens before the Hull City game has an impact. Also, if we have to play against Aston Villa two or three days later – we still don't know when that will be"

      DGW still a chance?

Looks like Lukaku is impressing Mourhino the most though so far... I'd also keep hold of him against Man U afterwards seeing as he put 3 past them at the end of last season...

        both?

I'd go lukaku, hazard, and schurrle if i knew all three would start both games of the dgw

What if Ba starts. Lukaku could have
      Bench
Man Utd away (maybe from bench)
      Blank

I think he starts week 1 myself, but fixtures and risk all point to avoid

He's going to be 1 punt at the start of the season I think... He looks primed to start and knock a few past Hull. I also fancy him against Man U after his hat trick against them at the end of last season.

Fair enough. Could easily pay off. Especially with this news. Much better than Ba in my view. Ba is sh1te.
If DGW happens, Hazard is only player I would 100% want.
          Maybe Benteke.

    http://metro.co.uk/2013/07/22/rickie-lambert-free-to-leave-southampton-if-replacement-pablo-osvaldo-is-signed-from-roma-3892759/

OK. I have been all set on Lambert and all the JRod talk wasn't stopping me. But with this and the reading link added to the talk that JRod would be main striker, the sensible thing has to be to listen to whats being said and stay clear. The last thing I want is to have him week 1 and 2, then for him to leave on deadline day. That stuff burnt me last year.

I still dont fancy JRod though simply because he hasnt proven himyself as a true goal scorer yet. And I also dont fancy any of the £8m or less strikers bar RvW (who I have) or Kone (but I have Mirallas). So

Coutinho and Lambert --> Kagawa ans Sturridge

    Yes or No?

I'm not sure. It is the simple one, but he is too hot and cold. Kagawa is too, but he opens up a root into the Man Utd attack.

Coutinho is still a worry for me. Loads of players have a good start after January transfer, then don't quite follow up the season after.

"I will do with my English players everything I can to support them. I'll prepare them well, motivate them well to have a good season - and let them arrive in the last part of the season in great condition."

Surely this means Lampard will be rested quite a lot during the season?
