Moving Target – Danny Graham

Share:

Hull City boss Steve Bruce added to his forward options late last week by acquiring Danny Graham on a season-long loan deal from Sunderland. The former Swansea man is the club’s seventh signing of the summer and follows the likes of Allan McGregor, Curtis Davies, Maynor Figueroa and Ahmed Elmohamady to the KC Stadium as The Tigers prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Having fallen out of favour under Paolo Di Canio after just six months at Sunderland, Graham’s security of game time looks set for a significant increase in the season ahead. Judging by his new manager’s comments, it’s clear that Bruce – who has an option to make the deal permanent at the end of 2013/14 – is a huge fan of the 27-year-old:

    Last minute tinkering needed

    a) Mignolet + Nasty, or
    b) Foster + Azpil.

    Suggestions also welcome for alternative defenders if these ones don't float your boat

    Started new job today, was told no dress code but didn't wanna push it. Turns out to be hottest day of the year so far. I turn up at new work.... Everyone is in shorts except muggings here who is sweating his nik naks off in a pair of chinos.
    Good news however, they show sky sports in the pub just 15m from my work and there seems to be a fantasy league, just no one has given me the code yet... I will get the code... 😀

    Anyone considering an Aguero/Negredo double up? Tasty fixtures could pay off and then can drop whichever one is not performing, flip side of the coin of course is that 2 strikers from the same team could be considered overkill. Just thought I would put it out there see if anyone has considered this.

        I can see Steven Naismith getting in the mix there ahead of Pienaar. No one mentions him but he did alright his first season (4 goals, 1 assist) after coming back from a torn cruciate ligament.

        Definitely wasn't at his best and mainly used as a sub because of it.

    Lot of RMT's have Boruc -Mannone, but;

    a) Westwood may well be ahead of Mannone at the moment according to local reports. and

    b) Davis is more widely owned than Boruc (although this is probably more due to casuals and his 4.0m price tag).

    Any sense in going Boruc and Davis - with their good opening fixtures and possession based football i think id be happy playing SOU keeper every week for the first 8 fixtures and frees up cash elsewhere??
