No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

      our teams are similar which is reassuring. i have zab instead of mert, chester instead of clyne, ivan instead of cole, coutinho and morrison instead of the last two mids. so maybe snodgrass to silva/coutinho? i don't even know what to do to my team anymore

        Cheers mate. I used that logic to choose Coutinho over Michu but wasnt so sure about Silva. A few wks ago i was positive he'd return to 2012 form but now with Pellegring shoving him out wide left I'm not so sure whats likely to happen, especially when Navas starts.

        And all the while Michu was a goal machine last season and is in an improved swansea team this yr, headwrecked!

        Cheers for the input tho, I reckon its another coinflip situation...

      I choose Soldado because of the uncertainty over Negredo as regards starts and I felt that Dzeko was the best punt on a city fwd, its only 7.5 too so not as much tied up if he dont start...

      I have a funny feeling that Negredo will outscore Soldado in the first few gameweeks if he does start tho, its tough but with transfers already tied up in taking Chelsea players out I'm going with as much certainty as possible

      I'm a tad concerned with Walcott's injury.

      If I had to make a prediction though, he'll play Saturday, although he probably won't exceed 70 minutes.

      Looks pretty good, quite a standard non-RVP team, you may want to look in to some City cover, unless you plan to Lukaku > Dzeko/Negredo depending on who's getting the minutes in GW2/3.

      Brayford is doubtful to start according to some people, seems to be 50/50 if he starts, someone might know different.

      Not mad per se, but there are definitely plenty more potentially better options.

      While he might pick up a goal here and there, you wouldn't expect braces or hattricks like others have the potential for in the first few weeks.

    Anyone else considering going in 3-5-2? Midfielders produced more last season and really fancy trying out a midfield 5 of Coutinho, Silva, Mirallas, Hazard & Walcott for the first gameweek at least.

      I didn't see Reading keeping a CS ever last season and they managed 5.

      Cardiff will at some point in the first 13 weeks pick up a couple of CS, picking the games might be the hard part.

            They 'could'thats the problem. Big risk. Very few players score 20+ in debut season in epl. Rvp guranteed to get you 20+ if fit. Why take an uneccessary gamble.

      I had planned to get him week 2 but my team is so much nicer without. Scared? A little. I can deal with him getting a goal or assist a game but more than that isn't nice with 42% ownership

          Anything up to 6.5 ppg is ok with me. Once it starts going over that (and it will) I'll have to get him in somehow. If he got 6.75 ppg that is 256(assuming he plays every game) which is not great for 14m. Better value elsewhere imo

      I am scared. But I would also be scared without the pretty good midfield and strikers I have now because I am not tied down by RVP. It is just a tough decision.

    giroud or sturridge?

      I like Sturridge. I like his swagger. Wouldn't put it past Wenger to bench Giroud.

      I changed Giroud to Studge purely because I just don't think Giroud is that good and Studge is more likely to score top flight goals.

    it's funny how on here, that people start leaning towards the same players. sometimes this appears to be just based on seeing other people picking a player, and then it kind of snowballs. especially with cheap players. same goes for unfashionable ones. there's heaps of reasonable options that don't get a look in. it will all change after GW 1 of course.

      I've changed from silva+dzeko to ajohnson+negredo. I don't anyone would follow that, but if it gets spammed a lot it could happen.

      silva got the same amount of points as ajohnson last season and aj only scored 5 times. with a more attacking side he could score 10+

      Walcott and Hazard for obvious reasons
      Mirallas is a steal
      Brayford-Chester are ''nailed on'' 4.0's''
      Mignolet is a nailed on 5.5 option for Liverpool clean sheets
      Dzeko started 6/7 pre season
      Anelka scored a lot pre season and is 5.5
      Coleman is nly 5.0 and in a decent defence and may play on the wing.
      All players are widely owned on here for a reason

    Any WHU gaffers here can shed some light on Adrian'? Seen some love for him in here... seriously thinking about taking a punt on him at 4.5 considering the Collins dilemma at the back

      Pretty sure Jussi will start the season. At least he has competition now, if he performs badly he will probably be dropped, possibly for good.

    This is where I get a bit confused. I'm toying with the idea of wildcarding to bring RVP in...if not I'll go with
