No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

It’s good to be back.

Eavesdrop on the conversation via this link or earwig via the handy player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Hart/Zaba too much ManC & too much money

      Is that actually under 100?

Dreadful bench but could get you off to a heck of a start

don't see any sense in doubling, i never believed in doubling anyway. so downgrade Hart to Boruc and upgrade Smith.

No worries, the Altidore pick is clearly a pre-season euphoria punt rooted in deep nationalism. And his fixtures are yummy - but I see the sense in your picks. They're sound. Assuming Sturridge is raring to go week 1.

Im not a regular RMTer but I really need a 2nd opinion!

    Boruc Speroni

    Ivanovic Koscielny BTurner Clyne Chester

    Hazard Coutinho Mirallas Snodgrass Brady

    RVP Soldado Anelka

I plan to rotate Snodgrass, Brady and Anelka and transfer Anelka out after GW5

Also Hazard to Walcott for GW2

    Ivanovic to Ward for GW3

3 way rotation could be painful...more oft than not you leave points on the bench when doing a 2way rotation...so 3way will just make it harder lol...but if youre set on that, then I suppose this is a decent team.

I prefer Shaw over Clyne (just opinion though)

Hi all, looking for 2 nailed on 4.0 defenders.

Here is my team for reference to avoid any unfavourable double ups:

    Adrian (Boruc)
    Coleman Lescott M.Turner (xxxx) (xxxx)
Silva Coutinho Hazard Huddlestone (R. Morrison)
    Benteke RVP Lukaku

    0.0 in the bank.

Also open to ideas to get a better 4th midfielder.

Reason for picking Lescott (most expensive def I have) is due to City's favourable fixtures and their last CB position goes to either Boyata or Lescott due to Nastasic's injury. Open to any further suggestions too. Thanks for anyone who takes the time to help.

    Stat attack.

Dzeko was involved in roughly 50% of Cities pre season goals.

Has a points per game average of 7.2 the last two seasons. RVP is around 7.5, for reference.

So Dzeko, is an elite striker, at mid price. BUT, the issue has always being game-time, so he is a risk. Despite Pellegrini calling him his "main striker".

Lukaku has a Points per game average of 7. Five goals in pre-season and has the double. Again, game time is the only issue.

I don't have the konkers to get Dzeko and Lukaku, so it's either or. I think i'm siding with the man in light blue. As long as he starts, he has a place in my team. But like Lukaku, you need an exit plan.

How about the rest of yous, any mavericks going big and getting both? Whose a dullard and getting one, and if so, who?

I'm just going with Dzeko. I remember jumping on the Tevez wagon at the start of last season and that went well, I expect the same with Dzeko. Quite often him and Negredo have been starting together as well so I'd expect Dzeko to be a regular starter at least for the start of the season.

Really cannot understand the Altidore enthusiasm. This guy already failed at Premier League level. Went off and scored some goals in the substandard Dutch league - a league where the likes of Kezman and Kuyt were prolific. A few goals in a poxy friendly doesn't mean anything.

    Hi guys,

The closer we get to opening day, the worse I think my team gets. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Chech/Lewis

    Lescott/ Mert / Baines / B. Turner / Chester

    Bellamy / Coutinho / Hazard / Oscar / Silva

    Soldado/ Aspas / Maiga

Plan is to do Chech --> Migs

and Oscar ----> to Walcott after DGW

will be benching either Bellamy or Maiga.

Basically what I want to know is what are other options for either Bellamy (5.5) or Maiga (5.0) at their prices or a better combo for 10.5.

Cheers for the help lads and lasses

Maiga (W. Ham), reckon he'll play while Caroll is injured. But not sure if he is the best option at 5.0, so any others you reckon?

Bellamy to who? thats my question, what are other better nailed on options at 5.5?

Hmmm, well personally Baines just.sucks up too much funds for my liking but that's your choice. The team just looks a bit bland and unbalanced and.that's without the addition of even Bale or RVP, 100m doesn't jusify the team.

Bellamy to Kim i'd say, he's nailed on and plays an attacking role.

Have been looking at him in earnest since the praise from Lambert. Problem is the dgw, because on the surface he looks like the perfect punt from the cheap spot, but with others battling injuries while he tries to get up,to match fitness I think he might play the first game and not the second. If you want him for the long term, then he could be on the bench -- but I can't leave a dgw player on the bench. Am really chasing my tail on him, and though I like the extra 1m, spending it on an assured Weimann might be the wiser move.

Morning everyone. I've been reshuffling my defence and have come up with a few queries.

    A) Start the season with Zabaleta or Koscielny?
    - - - I'm a little worried about rotation to be honest and my budget spread doesn't allow me to have both. That fear of rotation with Richards might push me towards getting Koscielny over Zabaleta.

    B) Which 4.5 defender to downgrade Ivan to for GW 2 (barring SOT)?
    - - - Considering Michael Turner or Collins if he's fit.

The good part about being obliged to transfer out the dgw playes is that there is ample opportunity to jump on the bandwagons. My guess is that the big one will be Negredo if he does well gw1. People have a wait&see attitude towards city attackers, so as soon as one emerges, people will be all over it.

Wait until the international break for Kagawa unless he does something grand. (and wait until the second international break if you can)

Moyes teams usually need time to settle when he's not in his first year managing and starting off with a touch schedule and high expectations.
