No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

    I've just unpacked a Tefal Actifry and made some chips. They are pretty decent with a glass of the old Sauv Blanc and a lovely view over the bay.

      Looks pretty solid at the back - dont think Oscar will start but should get some game time - him plus Lukaka and wally being an injury a doubt could leave some holes in a worst case scenario. Bent a massive punt.

        Bent as a main striker is so far removed from a punt.
        18m deal rising to 24m to take him to Villa.

      Pick one of the cardiff lads :P, but they are both doubts, so id be hesitant to start with one. Maybe get Coleman instead of Kosc and bring in a 4.5 instead. Double arsenal defense is gutsy, and imo I would not do it.

      Barkley is again, a risk. Oscar and Lukaku I like. Bent won't play this GW, so I would nto start with him 🙂

        I don't have a problem with doubling up, if you fancy a horse then back it 🙂 Spreading the risk just leads to mediocrity. Go big or go home!

        Barkley could be anyone after tomorrow's pressers. Bent is Anelka this week.

    Does Rat deserve a spot at 5m? Is Reither better than Rat?

        Yeah, it is a bit meh. Quite fancy a punt somehwere but loath to loose any of the midfield big hitters.

        Kim playing in the hole and is on a couple of set pieces too. Imo, Cardiff a better side and will score more goals than hull. Hull are pathetic attacking wise. So kim hands down for me. Will prove to be a bargain

      From what I learned, Skrtel is fit for Tomorrow. But he dont have any pre-season and he have some problem with big forwards(Stoke). So Toure will start tomorrow. But in long term he'll have competition from Skrtel for sure.

        He seems the most nailed on of all of man c front line options and their highest scoring midfielder last year so I'd say he was pretty good coverage. Navas' pace more exciting for sure, lack of prem experience a worry.

      Yer _Gotta do it. the way he pulled off one of the strongest defenders in the league and slotted home was a joy to watch. He is the managers golden boy I think_will play a lot.

    Could use with some input on this...Planning to bring in rvp around gw3/4...so trying to figure out the ideal team balance

    Gk: boruc/foster...(9.5m)
    Def: (D1=5m) ward chester murner (D5 = 4.5m).....(23m)
    Mid: wally (M2=9m) miralas (M4=6m) koren.....(36.5m)
    Fwds: soldado rvp (F1=7.5m).....(31m)

    Is this balance right? or should i spend more/less on the 3rd striker and more/less on my 4th mid?

      I know fixtures are not everything, but for Michy they are just horrible and I wonder if having a decent striker around will change his role a bit. So for the start Coutinhom even though I am not a fan of him either.

      Depends, do you have any pool coverage? With the fixtures, I feel it would be wise to have one in there.

      In a vacuum, id say Michu, but once you consider the fixtures and how the rest of your team looks, id side towards Coutinho if you have no pool coverage.

    Morning guys! Would u go for Rodriguez or Anelka? I have a feeling Rodriguez could explode... but Anelka is 0.5 cheaper and on pens. Also more likely to rise initially in the season. Who would u go for?

      Both have a decent first 5/6 weeks to start the season.
      After that though look out...

      Short term, flip a coin.
      Long term, Rodriguez.
      (Less rotation risk & better striking partner)
