There are five three o’clock kick-offs to follow Liverpool’s early Premeir League victory, with United’s trip to Swansea to follow at tea-time.

The team news from the Emirates finds Theo Walcott in the Arsenal lineup, although there is no start for Santi Cazorla who is rested to the bench following his recent international exploits. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain earns a start in midfield, along with Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky: Mikel Arteta is absent through injury. Up front, Olivier Giroud is given the opportunity to lead the attack with no place for Lukas Podolski. As for Villa, they have budget pick, Nathan Baker alongside Ron Vlaar in defence, as expected.

Chris Hughton is without Seb Bassong and playmaker Robert Snodgrass so hands a start to Elliot Bennett and Nathan Redmond on the flank, with Steven Whittaker in defence. They go with a 4-5-1 with Wes Hoolahan supporting new signing, Ricky van Wolfswinkel up top. Everton’s lineup is as expected – Ross Berkley is given the opportunity to fill in for Darron Gibson in midfield, while Nikica Jelavic’s pre-season form is enough to earn him the nod up front.

There are few surprises as the Hawthorns. The home side lineup with both Nicolas Anelka and Shane Long up front in what looks like a regular 4-4-2. Opponents Southampton have Luke Shaw fit to start at left-back, although Nathaniel Clyne is only able to make the bench: Calum Chambers starts at right-back. James Ward-Prowse is preferred ahead of Guly, Steven Davis and Gaston Ramirez in midfield.

Paolo Di Canio’s teamsheet includes a host of new signings as Ondrej Celustka, Valentin Roberge, Cabral, Emanuele Giaccherin and Jozy Altidore all earn debuts. Kieron Westwood gets the nod in goal over Vito Mannone. The Fulham lineup includes a debut for Derek Boateng and a surprise start or Adel Taarabt: Bryan Ruiz only makes the bench.

The West Ham back four lines up with both Guy Demel and James Collins earning starts as Razvan Rat and James Tomkins are kept on the bench. The midfield sees Mo Diame earn a start along with Joe Cole, while Modibo Maiga leads the line in the absence of the injured Andy Carroll. There are few surprises in the Cardiff lineup, with Matt Connolly preferred to John Brayford at right-back and Ben Turner alongside new signing, Steven Caulker.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open to take you through the afternoon matches into this evenings clash at the Liberty.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    For what its worth.....

I still feel comfortable without van Persie. What has van Persie done today that he didnt do last season or the season before? He is a great player and top finisher. People who dont have him KNEW this before they chose to go without and build a better overall side. If you honestly believed that not having van Persie meant he would blank every week, then you are a complete idiot. He is always going to return like this.

The reason why I didnt get him, is the very reason that I wouldn't have got him last season at £14m. I remember when he rose to £14m......many said that if you have, you hold, if you didnt, you didnt get him in as £14m was just to much......whats changed the beginning of this season?

Absolutely nothing. We'd all like to have van Persie and a fantastic team in hindsight, but it doesnt work like that and its simply not the same as last year, with being able to have 4-5 big hitters without the rest of your team suffering. Bale + van Persie and others. It doesnt work like that this season.

The panic stations are just silly. Did you honestly think van Persie would never do this in any game this season?

I'm more disappointed with not having the likes of Mignolet (who I took out this morning for Szczesny) and Barkley to begin with, than I am not having van Persie.

    ....Yes I'm being serious. 😉

        Cheers mate.

        These panic stations are laughable.

Its almost like van Persie was never a fantasy football option, until today.

Im new to Fantasy Premier Keague, quick question.

Can I make my transfers for gw2 now whilst the prices are as they are. Whereby, it wont effect the team I have for gw1.

Eg. I want Lukaku for this gameweek for the dgw, I want to change him to RVP for gw2, can I do this now and still get points for Lukaku for gw1, sundays and wednesdays game.

Much appreciated if I could get a reply! Cheers!

Yes, any transfers you make now will only come into effect from GW2

So if you transfer out someone yet to play this week, you'll still get his points
