Heading into the home game against Stoke, Philippe Coutinho was one of the most popular picks around. Second only to Eden Hazard in terms of midfield ownership in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), the Liverpool winger was heavily backed to run riot against the Potters after a thrilling first few months on Merseyside last time round.

Unfortunately for his Fantasy owners, Coutinho returned a blank while Iago Aspas and Daniel Sturridge picked up the points after combining for the Reds’ match-winner. As we edge ever-closer to the weekend’s fixtures, we take a look back at the Brazilian’s display against Mark Hughes’ side and assess the underlying data in our first Monitor article of the new season.

      it can't be an assist, and the only other way to get 3 bps is 90% pass completion after 30 passes or more

    Hey Chaps - could use some urgent advice - Have just played my wildcard to get rid of too many DGW players and RAT and MORRISON. I feel obliged to put in RVP as this is probably my only hcnace BUT so tempted by alternative. Which is better?

    a. Nolan, Oscar, Wally, Silva, Koren + Soldado, Benteke, Giroud

    OR

    B Nolan, De Brun, Wally, Silva, Koren + RVP, Girod, Aspas.

    ITS KILLING ME!! Temptd with B which is easier change down, but can;t help thinking option A firepower will win the league.....
