With goals a premium from Saturday’s matches, we roll into Sunday with high expectations. Today’s fixtures certainly give us room for optimism.

Proceedings get underway shortly at the Hawthorns and Anfield, where West Brom go in search of their first goal of the season against a Swansea side still looking to get a first point on the board. Alongside that affair, we’ve the small matter of Liverpool’s clash with United – a match that hosts an array of Fantasy talent, not least Robin van Persie, adorning the captain’s armband for many.

Later today, we’re treated to the North London derby. A clash which rarely disappoints when it comes to goals and incidents. It’s fair to say that we’re expecting fireworks again, as Arsenal attempt to keep momentum after the win at Fulham, while Andre Villas-Boas’ side arrive at the Emriates with a 100% record and without a league goal conceded.

The team news from the early kick-offs is in and is as follows:

Liverpool make just one change to the side that edged past Villa in Gameweek 2. Kolo Toure’s failure to recover from a groin injury sustained in midweek allows Martin Skrtel to partner Daniel Agger in central defence as the Reds attempt to register their third successive shut-out of the season.

For United, Wayne Rooney is absent with a head wound – David Moyes has confirmed he will be sidelined “for a few weeks” with the injury. The United boss brings in Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young on the flanks and drops Antonio Valencia to the bench – Giggs’ inclusion looks set to see Danny Welbeck moved centrally once again after he was shifted to the flank to accommodate Rooney’s return against Chelsea last Monday.

Michael Laudrup hands Wilfried Bony his first Premier league start at the Hawthorns. Jonathan de Guzman drops out in the only change from the side that lost at Spurs last weekend –Bony, Ashley Williams and Jonjo Shelvey all recover from the knocks that kept them out of midweek Europa League action, with the Ivorian’s inclusion allowing Michu to return to his preferred role in “the hole”.

Steve Clarke makes three alterations for the hosts. Boaz Myhill replaces the injured Ben Foster between the sticks, Nicolas Anelka is back after being granted compassionate leave last week, while Scott Sinclair is handed his first league start for the Baggies against his old club – Graham Dorrans and Markus Rosenberg are the men to drop out.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now accepting vistors for the early kick-off and will remain open until the final kick at the Emirates.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    So the latest on Ozil.

Gathered some sources from Twitter, wouldn't trust their reliability 100% but something is certainly brewing.

And also Al Jazeera are reporting something, but it's in Arabic.

Shame that Snodgrass' price will probably drop twice as I will probably keep him anyway.

It was his first 90-minutes season game this season and he made 13 crosses (most in this GW alongside with Baines) and his average position is still very good. He is also on ALL set pieces for Norwich.

I think that points will come and it will be sooner than later.

    FFS Burning Questions:

Should I get rid of Silva?

I don't know why people are so eager to get rid. Yes, we all found out this week he can't be relied upon as captain. Yes, he's not gonna score mega points in one week, but he's consistent, will likely pick up the extra clean sheet point on the back of City's good defense, and will continue to assist and get the odd goal. The other question you have to ask. Who do you replace him with? None of the midfielders are really presenting themselves as options.

Who to buy - Benteke or Giroud?

This one is tough. Really tough. Benteke is more expensive, but he's also on pens. Benteke has a nice set of fixtures coming up in the short term, but Giroud, if you've invested long term, has a nicer stretch in the next 8 games or so. Give and take imo. Both are good options, both are in good form. As far as stats go, Benteke is more involved overall (more likely to get assists), Giroud has more threat. I think only Captain Hindsight will be able to answer this one definitively.

To wildcard or not to wildcard?

This is highly dependent on your team. The general rule I use is this. Would I change at least 6 players? Would wildcarding save me at least 0.2m either on avoided drops or rises? Do I have fewer than 12 players who are active and will start? Another reason I'd wildcard is if you want to change your formation or team structure (i.e from RvP down to 3 9.0 strikers) This is a good one to ask on the forum. People can help you decide. But if you do decide, act early!

Think the Silva question is a fair one, is slow and consistent optimal for 9 price? I'm not sure and am pondeting. Michu through worst of tough starts makes him areal replacement option, especially if Silva knee-jerks a coulpe of price falls.

Great post. Personally I have wildcarded, I've gone for both Giroud and Benteke (as well as Sturridge) thanks to my WC, and I've transferred silva out for yaya for now (again, thanks to my WC) to avoid the possible price drop of silva and get the potential rise of yaya, but I am considering bringing silva back in for yaya just before the games start, because I think he has been more involved in city's attack than yaya, who has only scored from free kicks, and will give you a better return over the season.

Caution. Is 3 weeks long enough to really establish a trend? Big hitters could very well wake up gw 4 and all produce. Probability says they're unlikely to continue performing so poorly. They're expensive due to a proven track record of big points.
