    Ozil feeding Giroud, Benteke, Lukaku actually getting starts, Negredo's emergence, Sturridge's form... there seem to be so many more interesting striking options than RVP at the mo.

    Obviously Manchester United have been poor this transfer window but I believe it's a bit premature to be saying how they'll be outside of the top 4 now.

    This is still the same side which won then league last season and a side with a decent amount of quality (relative to the competition) in its ranks.

    I can't say I particularly enjoy Manchester United's brand of football, and if they did drop outside of the top 4 I wouldn't be sad, but some comments are going into the realm of silliness.

      They're just depressed atm. Spoilt by years of success, a slight dip in fortune brings them out into hysterical fits. While 5th is a possibility, it's less likely than not and I'd expect them to finish top 3 again.

      But 5th would be a good learning experience for the fans. Would test their mettle.

      Very average squad in my view that was managed by the greatest club coach the world has ever seen. they will get found out this season, I hope I'm wrong cos they're a great club but am amazed that they haven't signed anybody

      If it goes through, he's a very good signing for United. Just the way things have been conducted has been nothing short of amateurish. Trying to get the lowest possible price in a sellers market the whole summer and then panicking with the Herrera bid. He would have a been a top signing too, but they left it too damn late.
