Chelsea (based on mourinho+quality+ 3 games so far)
Arsenal (based on last season + squad stability
Tottenham (based on 3 solid games - could be wrong)
Manu (Moyes is more defensive than fergie IMO)

But if you want some teams with value for money defenders or improvement from last year:

Southampton (tightened up a lot but could score fewer too)
West Ham (Should match or even better last season's great defence)
Hull (Look much better defensively than i would've expected)

If we're talking about the top 4 defences in terms of goals conceded then no, I think when they accommodate the Armeater (after his latest ban) along with sturridge+coutinho+gerrard etc, they may well lose a bit of defensive strength, and win maybe 2-1 or 3-1 more than 1-0 or 2-0

Saying that, they'd be in my top 6 defensively and mignolet will make loads of saves too.

Chambers is the current RB, but should in theory be replaced by Clyne somewhere along the line?
Shaw is the actual first team LB, but who is the one who could challenge him?
And I'm thinking this long-term, because I don'n need either to play for me every week

        Fox hmmm
        Not an interesting enough choice
I'll stick with Shaw, I think, unless something drastic happens
Shaw played the full 90 in that England U21's so I think he is back to full fitness, so no short-term worries either

Agree. Fox won't be a real challenger to Shaw when both are fit though, but he is second in line at least. At the start of last season Fox was out of his depth and a lot of Southampton fans breathed a sigh of relief when he was dropped.

Murner => Merte/Kosc for a hit? (means I don't have to play collins this gw)
I suppose not, but I just hate my defence, so that hit is propably coming sooner or later anyway...on the other hand, if Rvp blanks this week, I think it's wild card time.

    Other question
My frontline is Rvp, Soldado, Benteke, but tempted to Soldado => Giroud for gw5 as he seems to be just too good value atm.
So people with frontline of Rvp, Benteke, Giroud - are you going without Spurs cover or punting on Lamela/Eriksen?

If you're the type of player who takes a lot of hits, then the first one is a good move (I.e. if you're never likely to get the chance to do it with a free transfer, I see it paying you back over time)

As for selling soldado for a hit, I'd find that very difficult given his fixtures! I see spurs' attacking output increasing for sure, and he's the main man..

Eriksen looks to be great value at 8 mil.set pieces, assists, goals.Playing just behind Soldado will give him room to create cos Soldado loves getting into the 6 yard box.

So maybe in his case going without RVP is the better option. I really think it is now or never though. For one thing, if he scores big in GW4 (which most would expect) his price might rise by GW6 anyway.

From Zabaleta, Jose Enrique, Pablo Hernandez, Redmond, Ward-Prowse, Ben Arfa and Yaya Toure,
Can I hope for a 0.3M rise in price by the time Saturday comes around? I am asking only for 0.3 because I don't think I will need any more.
I have got the initial 0.1 from Zab, Enrique already, so halfway there from 2 players already.

            nice!

I started watching Breaking Bad the first week of July I think it was (or maybe it was the last week of June) and I finished it up about a week before the first episode of season 5 part 2 came out.

personally I think they've all been great and I think these recent episodes are up to par with the previous ones.

              not even close i'd say

i enjoyed in when Walt didnt turn in beast and when jessy was so hillarious

also in season 3-4 everything has happen with reason

jessy going for walt cause of bold guy dosn't make any sense in my opinion

I'm almost finished Season three and I may get shot for saying this, but I only found it alright alright so far. Decent viewing but nothing compared to the massive hype it's received. Is there something wrong with me?

I do kinda agree, tbh. Started about 4 weeks ago and I'm now on S5. It's good, but, imo, nowhere near lives up to the hype. But now I'm near the end I want to see it all.

The writing, acting, etc is all very good, but there's just something missing for me. Also, I think every character (except for Hank and Saul Goodman) are arseholes, on the whole!

Morning all, would like an opinion or three about my proposed moves for next 2 weeks:

    Mingolet 4.0
    Coleman Murner Shaw Collins Chester
    Walcott Silva Lampard Mirallas Barfa
    RVP Bent JRod

    0.5M

    This gw: Mirallas to Brady
    gw5: JRod to Lukaku
    gw6: Upgrade Barfa/Bent

Can't see a better way to improve my strikeforce, happy with defence for now. Any suggestions or ideas?

Those pondering a cheap Liverpool alternative...Martin Kelly is still some way off being ready for the 1st team. He's currently playing games for our under 21s to build up his fitness.

Wisdom seems the logical replacement for Johnson, although given his age and inexperience the odd mistake/concentration lapse is a worry.

Yeah, agree. I think Kelly will be eased in with Cup games and U21 games to build up his strength, especially around that knee. Saying that Wisdom is far from safe with Toure and Ilori able to play RB too.

I think that constitutes easing him in, to be honest. Either Eriksen or Lamela have to be classified at punts at this stage. But with a tasty fixture it may be a punt worth taking.

I'm just thinking of Ade last year who didn't get starts until a month after joining (despite being a first team player on loan the season before). And Siggy and Holtby seemed to be the same, although they are obviously a different calibre of players.

I am doing very little punting until I see what happens over the next two GWs. Then see if I need RVP for GW6.

I'm Eriksen's biggest fan probably having watched all of his games over the past 3 years, I however wont be getting him yet. Of course he can cut it in the PL, he has already shown he can cut it with the big boys in the CL on a regular basis. But there is no way of knowing how quickly he will be integrated into the team. He is obviously up to speed having played 4/5 matches already as well as a pre-season but you never know.

      good for you.

did toure > coleman last week with the FT. Can't say i'm not satisfied with the CS & price rise this week, but for that reason i already took a hit this week and still stuck with J.Cole 🙁

Might be more to come yet. But I'm with you on the saved transfer, so far. Intl breaks normally throw up a few injuries, although I believe we got away with it last season.

You shouldn't. Their low ownership means you won't fall too far behind should they both hit the ground running. I think having both is too much of a gamble - maybe take a punt on one of them, though.
