Right, this might be a mad idea but here it goes. I'm on a WC so my team can easily be changed if need be. I'm thinking of alternating between 3-4-3 and 4-3-3 depending on fixtures. My team is as follows:

With 1m you could and should upgrade Yaya to Silva, Hazard or - if you're feeling punty - Pamela. Yaya's only goals are free kicks, which he won't get as often as his points so far seem to suggest.

Pro rating up if he plays a few more games gives you 7 goals and 8/9 assists. Throw in clean sheet points and the fact he's a bonus magnet means you're looking at 170+ score.
Now add free kicks in to the mix and you're looking at close to 200 points. He's gold I tells ya!Open ControlsHe is probably better than I tend to think. I had such a bad experience with him that I'm just too damaged to assess him objectively.
But I think one of his biggest problems is predictability. Those goals and assists tend to be so spread out that you have to own him all season to get them. This is actually the argument I have in my head when the whole 'RVP fire and forget captain' point is put forward. Yes, over the course of the season he'll be the best captain (probably) but he won't necessarily be better than intelligently swapping the armband between 2 or 3 players. A strikeforce of sturridge benteke will likely get you
Sturridge (99 last season across 1254minutes. > say 3000minutes could be 200+ points)
Tekkers (150 points last season > say 180 points this time around)
So 380 points plays RVP's 260 (say 70 from a 5m striker)

Both have merit & my team is flexible enough for either with 1 hit. Wouldn't bother with Man Utd attack outside RVP unless it's Rooney. Could change down the track if a midfield option woke up.

'The Dilemma of the Dutchmen Devil'
The Oranje marksman and leader in the opening three fixtures faced a daunting task. Trips to Swansea and Liverpool, combined with a home-tie against the defensive master never looked promising, still returning 2 goals from 3. The same as Robert 'penalty kick' Soldado, and just one less than the current hot potatoes of Giroud, Sturridge, and Benteke.
In a team of reigning champions with no competition upfront and no stand-out midfield selections, the current golden boot holder sits on the majority of corners and free-kicks, as well as being first in line for penalty kick duties.
A fixture list that reads PAL, WBA, SOT, STO in the next six added with a trip to the disjointed side in the North-East plying their trade in red and white stripes and it all looks set to provide a bounty of points for the man at one stage no man dare go without. So what's changed?
Many point to the extreme price (14.0) and the numerous alternatives available in the bracket from 8.5-9.5. Yet, with the change of the BAPS seemingly against the midfielders and a lack of real heavy hitters at this stage, whilst we wait for the likes of Lamela, Hazard, and Michu to bloom, there seems a logical path, if only for the next 6 games.
For those who choose to go without, perhaps they prefer to sit on a ragged out sofa as the league gets under-way once more. Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace, Old Trafford, 12:45pm.
