The Gameweek continues with just one Sunday fixture, as Southampton entertain Sam Allardyce’s West Ham at St Mary’s. Both sides go into the game off the back of 1-0 setbacks last time out and will be looking to push up to the upper echelons of the table with three points.

The managers have contrasting options in attack for today’s game. While Mauricio Pochettino has the opportunity to pair England striker Rickie Lambert with new signing Pablo Osvaldo, Allardyce is woefully short on firepower with Andy Carroll now set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines. That could well make for a cagey affair, although Lambert’s Fantasy owners will hope that their man continues his positive start to the season by adding to his opening day strike from the spot at the Hawthorns.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open for those looking for some real-time accompaniment to the live broadcast.

The team news is in and is as follows:

Southampton make three changes from the side that stumbled at Norwich last time out. Luke Shaw and Nathaniel Clyne oust Danny Fox and Callum Chambers from the full-back berths, while James Ward-Prowse makes way for Jay Rodriguez on the right of the attacking midfield three, with the former Burnley man slotting in alongside Osvaldo and Adam Lallana behind Lambert.

Sam Allardyce makes just one alteration from the Gameweek 3 home loss to Stoke. Ravel Morrison is drafted in for the injured Stewart Downing on the right of the front three, with Joey O’Brien yet again selected at left-back, consigning new boy Razvan Rat to bench-warming duties once more.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Even allowing for the low avg number of goals per game, am i wrong in thinking this could be the season for mid to low priced mids (e.g. Eriksen, Mirallas, HBA, Hernandez etc - ok so Walcott is the one exception...sorry....) and pump the money to the back and up front. Based on my sums, which can be flawed but usually serve me well, this could pay dividends

But there is a lack of good mid-priced midfielders this year, so I think you should still pay for the better players.

Well yeah obviously at the moment. But nobody has a magical crystal ball. Write off the expensive mids at your peril. Mata, Hazard, Silva in particular have suffered because of injuries and rotation - you can't presume they are going to keep scoring so poorly.

For now, a cheaper midfield has paid dividends but I think it would be naive to just presume they will continue to outscore the more expensive mids

I think only one premium priced midfielder (Walcott) is needed this week. Looks like having at least two premium defenders is the way to go.

As my team stands I have approximately 6 players who look set to drop in price (M.Turner, Kim, Mirallas, Snodgrass, Dzeko - Possibly Ward & Nolan aswell) with none rising. Is this vital later down the line?

Most are saying to save the WC and just lose Dzeko but I think these price drops could make my team so much weaker later in the season? Anyone agree? No?

They were right to get rid of the subjectivity. I don't think the new system is ideal because it rewards the wrong things but you're never going to get a perfect system where a penalty is worth as much as a 35-yd wondergoal,

In all seriousness, i expect Swansea to have an average season cause of europa but they'll still score goals. With Michu playing either behind the striker or as the striker himself surely he's in line for a minimum of 10 goals. That there is around 150 points and he'll surely get more than that and not less. Could be wrong though

Hows this for an RVP Wildcard team?

    Mignolet, Boruc,

    Zabaleta, Sakho, Coleman, Collins, Baker

    Wallie, Eriksen, Ramsey, Barkley, Brady

    RVP, Sturridge, Giroud

Was thinking RVP to Tekkers or Soldado but with that extra cash I can't really do much as no midfielders or defenders are really standing out.

    Any ideas lads?

      Yep, like it
Maybe Collins fixtures are dropping though
      Spurs defender would be nice
