This week’s trio of overlooked alternatives are hoping to replicate the display of our previous headline act, Christian Eriksen, who shone in Tottenham’s win over Norwich last Saturday. Two of our three have already grabbed goals in the past few days, while the other is primed to make his debut bow against a former club later this afternoon.

Wilfried Bony

A goal against Valencia on Thursday evening continued the Swansea player’s scoring exploits on the continent since arriving for £12m during the summer. Bony has now notched four times in four matches in this season’s Europa League in comparison to just a single strike in four on the domestic stage and, without a goal in the league since Gameweek 1, he continues to shed Fantasy owners across the games.

Now down to 7.7 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Bony – who is priced at 8.0 in the Sky Sports game and 3.5 in the Sun Dream Team – has an FPL ownership of just 6% as Michael Laudrup’s in-form side head to Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon. As he highlighted at the Mestalla, Bony has lost none of the eye for goal that saw him find the net 31 times in 30 league games for Vitesse last time around and with an enticing run of fixtures just on the horizon, he could well be poised to pick up the points this week and beyond.

Victor Moses

The on-loan wide man made an immediate impact for Liverpool at the Liberty on Monday evening. Handed a role on the left against Swansea, Moses’ darting run and coolly-taken finish summed up just why Brendan Rodgers was so keen to bring him on board at Anfield and with Philippe Coutinho expected to be sidelined with a shoulder injury for the next six weeks, his starting role looks a little more secure.

While Luis Suarez is poised for a comeback from suspension next weekend, Moses’s display against Swansea suggests he may be retained out wide, allowing Suarez to tuck in behind Daniel Sturridge until Coutinho returns to hand Rodgers a selection dilemma. With a budget-friendly price tag of just 6.2 in FPL (5.5 in the Sky Sports game and 3.5 in the Sun Dream Team) Moses welcomes Southampton to Anfield later today and has an eye-catching schedule on the horizon which could well harvest the points over the next few matches as the league leaders look to return to winning ways after the 2-2 draw against Michael Laudrup’s men.

Stephane Sessegnon

Having finally received his work permit, the West Brom record signing is in line for his debut against former club Sunderland at the Hawthorns later today. Sessegnon certainly has a point to prove after being deemed surplus to requirements by the Wearsiders – his determination has merely been strengthened by Paolo Di Canio’s recent condemnation of his attitude, with the Black Cats boss suggesting “.. his time was finished at Sunderland because he was not capable anymore of giving his best.”

With Di Canio’s words ringing in his ears, the Benin international takes to the field with his new side looking for their first win of the season. Set to be handed his favoured role in “the hole” Sessegnon will be looking to replicate the displays that have produced 161 points and 141 FPL points in the last two seasons. Coming in at 6.7 in FPL (6.7 in the Sky Sports game and 3.5 in the Sun Dream Team) he seems a decent shout for those on the hunt for a one-week gamble – with the fixtures set to take a turn for the worse immediately afterwards (mun, ARS, sto, liv) victory is all the more essential this afternoon.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Are people trading RVP for Rooney to free up cash? This I can understand. But if you misguidedly think that Rooney is capable of scoring week in week out like RVP then I think you're dreaming.

I think most doing for extra cash I think it's obvious over season Rvp will outscore Rooney.

But 3.5 can upgrade other parts of team that will make up them points

I intend on starting Walcott and Michu every week (may transfer depending on fixtures and prices). The other 3 will be rotated depending on fixtures.

I don't need the extra funds as I believe I have the players I want in each position and it is nice to have a strong bench as injuries and form dips will happen and this can save me transfers.

You only gain 50% of the price increase - in your case, you paid 4.5 at the start, he's risen 0.6 to 5.1 so you gain .03 leaving him standing now at 4.8.

You only gain another 0.1 as soon as he rises by 0.2 again.

Who would you captain out of these

    Wally
    Lamps
    Hba
    RVP
    Giroud
    Soldado

I'm going with lamps for the differential and his past record against Fulham wise move?
