Having racked up nine goals and 16 assists in his debut season in the Premier League, many had anticipated Eden Hazard to step up another level under the guidance of Jose Mourinho. While he impressed over Chelsea’s pre-season program, the Belgian has stuttered domestically and with five league games done and dusted, Hazard has produced just a single assist so far:

Although Juan Mata has cut a peripheral figure in the Blues first XI and featured just twice in the league, Hazard has started all five of his side’s fixtures and played all but six minutes of the season so far. Despite his security of game time, the midfielder’s faltering form has resulted in a mass exodus across the Fantasy games – indeed, Hazard has shed more owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game than any other player by a significant margin, with over 590,000 owners parting company.

      I think it's great that they are willing to take a risk on shelvey...Not my version of depressing at all.

      not right now. i think baines had 2 free kicks in the last 2 seasons. right now the baps are worth less than 2.2 i'd say, the main issue will be if everton win a few pens in a short space of time

      Don't look on it as a price difference between the two but more so what other players are likely to give you more points than Baines for that price. Very few and probably none.

    Ok, if something happens to me in the next 32 gameweeks, you need to know 2 things:

    1. I was the one that said Baines would be the highest scoring 7.5m player over the season

      It's not enough that he is the scoring defender this season (or in the 7.5 price-range), there has gotta be that gulf of point difference between him and Coleman, and I don't think it amounts to 2.5.

      Almost feels like comparing RVP and Rooney. 🙂

        It will be there. If Baines scored 170pts last season with a misfiring Jelavic under the old system with the conservative moyes, then he will score close to 200pts with Lukaku and Martinez at the helm.

        Nothing wrong with doubling up anyway.

          What's the problem comparing Baines with say Arfa, Mirallas or Nolan anyway? I never get the argument that Baines takes up a vital defender slot? So what? If he gets 170+pts he is a bargain and good value.

      Lukaku is a liability. If you're on a wildcard you're going to need players who are nailed on. I would suggest Vertonghen -> Walker to fund Lukaku -> Giroud if that works.
