A certain Uruguayan is the headline act this week as we run the rule over a trio of overlooked Fantasy alternatives. An in-form City midfielder also makes the cut after impressing in last week’s hammering of United, while Fulham’s top scorer from last term is called upon after helping ditch Everton out of the cup in midweek:

Luis Suarez

The script almost seems written for the Liverpool talisman this weekend. In his first league appearance since biting Branislav Ivanovic back in April, Suarez makes his way to basement-dwellers Sunderland, with the Black Cats licking their wounds after picking up a single point in the first five Gameweeks.

With Paolo Di Canio handed his P45 after last Saturday’s disastrous defeat at West Brom, the Wearsiders will be hoping to turn the corner but face an uphill task at the Stadium of Light this Sunday. Suarez plundered three goals and an assist in the league against Sunderland last term and having been handed a role up top alongside Daniel Sturridge as Brendan Rodgers rolled out a 3-5-2 for the midweek cup tie against United, look set to be fielded through the middle once again as the Reds look to recover from a couple of back-to-back defeats in all competitions.

A Fantasy sensation in the season gone by, Suarez has plenty to atone for as he looks to regain the form that harvested 23 goals and 10 assists in 2012/13. Already, the bandwagon has been a significant one this week – over 131,00 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have snapped up the Uruguayan since last weekend. Coming in at 10.9 in FPL, 9.9 in the Sky Sports game and 7.5 in the Sun Dream Team, he has a superb run of fixtures over the next few weeks (CPL, new, WBA, ars, FUL, eve, hul, NOR, WHM) to make the right kind of impact this time around.

Samir Nasri

Mainly overshadowed by Yaya Toure’s displays in the City midfield so far, the Frenchman has, nonetheless, offered plenty to suggest he’s stepping up in consistency after a poor previous campaign. Nasri’s goal in the Manchester derby was his second of the season – equalling his tally for 2012/13 already – and with an assist also thrown in over the first five Gameweeks, he’s been quick to pick up the points in Manuel Pellegrini’s free-scoring side.

With David Silva once again ruled out through injury, Nasri’s starting role looks secure as City pay visit to a Villa side with injury doubts hanging over a number of their first-team regulars. Coming in at 8.0 in FPL, 6.3 in the Sky Sports game and 4.0 in the Sun Dream Team, the former Arsenal man looks a real under-the-radar option for those eyeing up a short-term punt before Silva returns to tussle for the role on the City left.

Dimitar Berbatov

There’s no doubt it’s been an underwhelming start to the season for Fulham’s maverick Bulgarian. With 15 goals in his debut year at the Cottage, Berbatov was one of the Fantasy sensations of the previous campaign but after five rounds of fixtures he sits with just a single league assist to his name as Martin Jol’s side struggle to show any semblance of form.

A goal in the midweek Capital One Cup win over Everton brings Berbatov back into consideration as Fulham prepare for a kind run of games which begins with a home clash against Cardiff tomorrow. Following the Bluebirds clash, Jol’s men welcome Stoke to the Cottage before hitting the road to face Palace and Southampton; with confidence growing after the Toffees triumph, Berbatov – down to 7.2 in FPL and priced at 8.6 in the Sky Sports game and 4.5 in the Sun Dream Team – could be set to take advantage of such a schedule and fire Fulham back up the table.

I needed every £.1 and Rosenoir was a last minute decision.

Want Suarez but I really think Sturridge is great value. I don't think there will be a lot points wise between them by seasons end (depending on total fitness). Money saved is better used on a 3rd big Mid or better defenders methinks.

I am not convinced by Eriksen either yet but I wanted a spurs attacker for their great upcoming fixtures. Plus he is mid priced between Lamela and Paulinho so it won't be too big a stretch if I need to trade one way or the other in a couple of weeks.

I also think that's there is very little between Suarez n Sturridge so its wait n watch on them
I would still say find that extra 0.1m and get Burner or Gabbidon. You'll have to waste a transfer down the line on Rosenoir
          Good luck to you! 🙂

One week punts are a bad idea. You get injuries and then are stuck with them for week after week. Get the players for long term, and then you can use your FTs to handle the unexpected. (say the person who has been unable to swap out Cech yet, and may still not for weeks)

Nice from back to front. 9/15 same as my team.

Few considerations, I'm doing now with mine.

1: Is Vidic worth 0.5m more than Ferdinand?
      2: Do I need Baines?
      3: Eriksen vs. Paulinho.

        All tough decisions.

I think Vidic is worth the .5 extra yes. Ferd is under pressure of rotation more than Vidic i think.

I'd love Baines but his inclusion would destroy my team balance. I'd be downgrading everywhere.

Jury is out on Tot midfield. Eriksen is my punt for a few GW's. I had Paulinho from the start and before his goal last GW was told constantly to get rid as he was a DM... easier to downgrade than upgrade a player. 🙂

Not sure all those who sold RVP for hits this week have made a wise move.

      Nice team!

Would much prefer Migs in goal but Borat is a good second option.
I suppose a Sot double up in defence is ok dor now as they look strong but may come back to bite you. I like Shaw though. 🙂

Brady has an injury cloud over him so I would ditch whilst you can. When he is out his price will drop too and Barkly's will rise further.

I think the option of Gru and Suarez is a personal choice. I went Gru so that is what I think is best.
Bench: Myhill; Arny Dawson and Shaw.

Currently got wilson brady and dawson on the bench dont wanna drop arnie at home to norwich and brady is more of a long term cheap option.

I've got Snodgrass, Moses & HBA as my mid tomorrow, all away, as the best I can pick. Anyone top that for shrewd management planning this week?

Rate My Team please!! **Although I've feeling this GW will going to red arrow again 🙁

    Boruc
    Walker, Zaba, Coleman
    Lampard, Ramsey, Brady, Adam
    Rooney(c), Giroud, Studrigde

    Bench: McGregor, Santon, Walcott, Chester

    1) Any news about Brady and Ramsey?
    2) Swap Walcott to Michu for another -4 hits?
    3) Or waiting till next GW transfer out Walcott and Chester for Michu and Wilson?

      Recipe for a green arrow:

Put one Brady and one Ramsey in your starting XI and allow to simmer. Remove any remaining Walcotts and add a generous helping of Michu, with a small hit if desired.

Garnish Rooney with a fresh armband and serve.

No one rooting for Sturridge (c)? Leaning towards him over Rooney. Sunderlands defence is absolutely woeful! 9 let in, in 3 games.

Anyone with reasons to convince me otherwise?

Have already made 3 trades and took a 4 point hit to bring in ozil, Rooney and Suarez.

ok so i need some major help. Yesterday my brother gave me his FPL team that he had only looked at once since the season start. the team is ranked 1,300,000 with a TTV of 99.3mil

This is what i have to work with
    Mingolet - Davis
Zab Shawcross Ivan - Garrido, Baker
Silva Countinho Snoddy Routledge - Colback
    RVP Soldado Anelka!

So i had 2 FT and took care of the immediate problems and went
RVP, Anelka, Silva, Countinho > Ramsey, Mirallas, Negredro, Suarez for -*
Not the best trades IMO but something needed to be done

When do i wildcard? the team needs a WC now but i am thinking of waiting till the break in a couple of weeks just to get a bit of TTV back.
