A trio of in-demand frontmen come under analysis as we run the rule over the numbers from Gameweek 6. Two of the most popular Fantasy midfielders also feature, while the impact of a new Baggies star and Southampton’s resilience at the back also feature in the first of this week’s articles for our members.

hmm.. great stats about amlafitano. wow lots of crosses made too
great article! might consider him 😉Open Controls -
Brady price to be protected?
Open Controls -
now I am even mooooore happy that I went for Barkley over Brady 😀
Open Controls -
Brady out leaves me with two options:
A) -8 this week. Giroud and Brady > Suarez and Siggy
B) Hold onto Brady. Get Suarez for a hit. Then Brady > Paulinho after this week for free
Won't be able to afford Siggy if i wait
Pick the option you preferOpen Controls -
Scotty's Army about?

RP: should I play ambrose over garay/boating in case celtic repeat their heroics at parkhead? I can always then sub in garay/boating if he has a nightmare game right?

Isacki
My take on kev mirallas I think he will be one that flatters to deceive most of the time.
HBA is capable but his attitude is awful.
sell both imoOpen Controls-

Thanks mate. I'm definitely selling one, possibly both.

Would you rather do the following;
Kim + Barfa >
a) Barkley + Sessengnon
b) Amalfitano + Paulinho
ThanksOpen Controls -
"4 goals from 6 shots on target highlights how deadly Aaron Ramsey has been this term."
You've misspelt "jammy" Tommy.Open Controls-
Umm I know Mata's conversion rate last year was phenomenal
Was he "jammy" too?Open Controls-
He had an incredible run but I did flag up how I regarded his conversion rate as unsustainable (think it was 7 goals from 8 shots or something) and he did drop off in the run in.
Open Controls -
Mata needed 70 goal attempts, yielding 24 shots on target, to score 12 goals.
On Ramsey's current conversion rate he'd only need 42 goal attempts, and 18 shots on target to hit 12 goals.
I take your point, but you must admit Ramsey's numbers look unsustainable over the year, surely!Open Controls-
I don't think anyone will really keep him for the whole year, but he's hot and cheap right now, what's not to like?

Are people keeping or ditching Brady? Thinking JWP to Amalfitano is a better move and just leave Brady on the bench for a few weeks.
Open Controls-
simialr to my thoughts, though i am doing kim --> amalfitano

Just seen the news about Brady. What are we all doing? Benching? Would you advise getting him out on a FT?
Open Controls -
Alexis Sanchez starting ahead of Pedro tonight?
Open Controls -
Brady Chester Collins. My bench picks itself
Open Controls-
if you havnt done FT yet
collins to curtis davies looks goodOpen Controls

will zabeleta and vidic price fall tonight..?

Lost at the bottom of last page:
Brady news is disappointing. Hoped I'd get another week from him before his op.
I have him and JWP. JWP is falling in price tonight but at least collects a point each week whereas Brady will miss three gameweeks. Which is the better option:
A. JWP to Barkley or Moses
B. Brady to Eriksen or Paulinho
Either option costs me -4.Open Controls -
Been a year since I bought 10 shares of Man U
Purchase price - $14.7000 $147.00
Todays price - $17.3800 $173.80
Profit - $26.80 18.23%
Anybody else buy a piece of the Reds?Open Controls-
Time to sell, David Moyes says hi

Can't bring myself to get Barkley in at 5.3 when almost all his owners got him for under 5
Anyone else avoiding Barkley for this reason?Open Controls-
no. it makes no difference. anyway, if/when he gets injured those with money tied up in him will be reluctant to sell for fear of paying more to get him back.
Open Controls -
Yes, Lukaku is enough Everton for me
Open Controls -
Nope. Hate this notion that you shouldn't bring someone in because others paid less for them. Points ---> value.
Open Controls

-
How about Jonjo? Amazing fixtures, looks to be nailed on as he started every league game so far, and, well, explosive?
Open Controls -
Damn !!!!!!!!!!
Brady out 4 weeks 🙁
what to do Guys ?Open Controls-
bench him if your squad is strong enough im doing that.
Open Controls -
for a hit? nothing. ride it out a week.

Folks, I'm interested in seeing what kind of correlation there is between team value, points and wildcard usage. If you could take ten seconds to fill out a quick poll, I'll post the results at the end of the week. Obviously it'll just judge correlation and not causation, but I think it could be interesting.
I'll try to go light on reposting it, I know these things can get irritating.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rxFx1mjpvyXTrrZjDXdfnyArGWY-j0Xl8RJesI07LsY/viewformOpen Controls-
Done. I'd like to see the result of that
Open Controls -
This sample will likely be biased because people who will give results will more likely be those performing well.
Having said that, it could still produce a statistically significant result among "the better players" so keep us posted please 🙂Open Controls-
Agree although I'm doing badly with only 299 pts

Done. I played my wildcard last week and my answer was gw6 because that's what it says on the transfer page although in my mind it was gw5 going into gw6!

Posted this a while back and it went down well, but gonna re-post it now, see what people think
Bear in mind this is only for consideration if Theo isn't fit come GW8.
Has anyone considered Cazorla as an alternative to Ozil for Norwich at home. He should be fit this week, so will be available. Will be 1 million cheaper with massively low ownership (2.6% compared to 30%) and is just as east to swap for Theo (who is already at 9.3m) Very explosive player and perhaps more likely to score now Ozil is there to take some (most) of the creative burden off him?Open Controls-
Caz not for me, Ozil is going nowhere
Open Controls -
thought about it. may swap ramsey for him
Open Controls -
Have considered this, do you think he'll go straight back in with Ramsey's current form on the wing?
Open Controls-
Ramsey isn't on the wing...
And yes, he'll go straight back in.Open Controls
-
-
The main attraction to Cazorla for me was his set pieces, now Ozil is bound to compete for those.
I reckon he will still be on corners at least (maybe that's just me thinking smaller players should take corners if they're pretty good at taking then), but not sure about FKs?
If you look at the way Arsenal play, sometimes Wally is the furthest forward (even ahead of Giroud!) and the player on the left (was Cazorla of course) was on the right.
Expect a mid/fwd line of:
Ramsey/Arteta Wilshere
Walcott Ozil Cazorla
GiroudOpen Controls-
...was on the right
*was further back.
My bad.Open Controls

Nolan. West Ham are rubbish going forward, plenty of good options at 7.0
Open Controls

Clyne
Open Controls

if I do JWP to Whittingham, I am going to have to bench Lampard or HBA haha, tough decision
Open Controls-
you'll be selling HBA soon enough

Considering a 4 point hit to change either Ferdinand, Ben Arfa, or Moses - if I should switch, who to, and why?
Open Controls-
no hits for defense - I think Baines zero last night should have proved that by now
i would keep Moses - he has good fixtures and he has 3 people he can pass to for an easy assist
might ship Barfa for a hit if you can get a quality replacement, but not just for the sake of shipping - think it over until Thurs or Fri before doing anythingOpen Controls

who to bench out of clyne and lukaku? currently on lukaku
Open Controls-
Crazy. Never bench a player like Lukaku, too explosive
