Back after a five-week break, Granville and I have squeezed in two holidays, two wildcards, an engagement (certainly not to each other), a dose of man flu and a near-on leg amputation. Packed, I tell thee.

The other highlight has been the steady and consistent decline of my Fantasy season, giving my co-host Granville plenty of ammunition. Reclined in his armchair, leg braced like James Stewart, the stricken Mancunian leaves his Rear Window to investigate the brutal murder of my fantasy team.

Once the taunting dies down, we manage to tackle the old regulars: bandwagons are assessed, the weekend is previewed and the ScoutCast team gets some love on its way to outscoring my lineup for a fifth week running. Sigh.

    I know it was against lesser teams, but with Defoe scoring (I think) 7 goals in his last 4 starts, is he starting to push Soldado for starts in the league?

    (and yes, I'm trying to come up with as many justifications as possible to ditch Soldado for Suarez this week (for a hit).....

    Dear Desire... Since my wildcard in GW4 I've been beset by injuries and players being dropped. In the weeks since I've lost RvP, Walcott, Benteke, Chester, Wisdom, Collins and Brady. To make matters worse I had both Vidic and Evra last week too!

    I'm fairing slightly better after an 8 point hit last week, but unsure whether to hope for the best this week or make further surgery. Used my FT this week already, but pondering Collins to Walker for 4 points to get my team in better shape for next week. Any advice appreciated!

      I would take the hit. It improves your team in the long term and you get to play Walker over Dikgacoi who will surely finish with 1 or 2 points. I am not a fan of taking points normally but I think it is different in this case.
