Back after a five-week break, Granville and I have squeezed in two holidays, two wildcards, an engagement (certainly not to each other), a dose of man flu and a near-on leg amputation. Packed, I tell thee.

The other highlight has been the steady and consistent decline of my Fantasy season, giving my co-host Granville plenty of ammunition. Reclined in his armchair, leg braced like James Stewart, the stricken Mancunian leaves his Rear Window to investigate the brutal murder of my fantasy team.

Once the taunting dies down, we manage to tackle the old regulars: bandwagons are assessed, the weekend is previewed and the ScoutCast team gets some love on its way to outscoring my lineup for a fifth week running. Sigh.

I have noticed that people who have sold RVP recently have a really quality and value-for-money squad with no waste, plus 3m+ in the bank, whilst those who have never had him (or sold a while ago) have wasted a lot of their funds on unnecessary luxuries.

  I was saying earlier this week that the reason there's not much RVP debate lately is because both sides have had their arguments weakened. RVP hasn't been scoring but at the same time, none of the expensive options he rules out have either.

    I didn't really meanteam value, I meant having value for money options in your squad. RVP owners (or ex owners) have been forced to look more critically at VFM whilst others have had the cash to splash around carelessly

As Mrs Mark walked down the AISLE to the ALTAR ready for her marriage the congregation sang a beautiful HYMN. She noticed he was fiddling with his phone - "Yes!!! he suddenly exclaimed, "Eriksen assist!!". The congregagtion gasped and Mark looked around with embarrassment suddenly aware of his surroundings.

And Mrs Mark said to herself "Aisle Altar Hymn"
