Cityโ€™s irresistible attack brings more joy for a pair of players who are prompting Fantasy managers back to the drawing board. Elsewhere, Evertonโ€™s loanee hitman disappoints in a Gameweek where striking rivals deliver once again.

The Game Changer

Sergio Agueroโ€™s form is becoming increasingly hard to ignore. City are clear at the top of the goalscoring stakes and David Silvaโ€™s return appears to have re-ignited their form and, in particular, that of the Argentinian marksman.

A brace at Upton Park this evening brings Aguero to five strikes in his last three league matches. Had his spot-kick counted in his favour against Everton in Gameweek 7 and not been registered as an own goal, Aguero would likely be out in front as the FPLโ€™s top scoring player.

Largely ignored while we waited on Manuel Pellegriniโ€™s teamsheet trends, itโ€™s become clear that, despite competition up front, Aguero is key to the Chileanโ€™s plans and central to Cityโ€™s title challenge.

With just over 10% ownership, weโ€™re looking at a low-level differential with explosive qualities. Even with such fierce competition for places in our forward lines, his form in a City attack that looks full of goals, simply has to demand our attention and have us at least consider a route to recruit.

The Underused

David Silva has emerged as a rare commodity โ€“ a reliable heavy hitter from midfield.

While Mesut Ozil retuned strongly for the Gunners today, the German international is an established favourite in over a third of FPL lineups. In contrast, Silvaโ€™s ownership sits under 5% meaning that, like Aguero, he stands out a hugely effective differential. Significantly, the Spaniard has either scored or assisted in four of his five league starts this season โ€“ that is a consistency that, arguably, only Ozil and Aaron Ramsey can currently rival in midfield.

Tonight many Fantasy managers will be weighing up a dilemma โ€“ Aguero or Silva. With City blitzing opponents with goals – itโ€™s becoming clear that we canโ€™t go on ignoring the potential of their two protagonists.

The Selection Poser

Romelu Lukakuโ€™s failure in the win over Hull is surely forgivable given his impressive impact on arrival at Goodison. In a Gameweek where almost every other heavy-hitting striker delivered, however, it will greatly frustrate the Belgianโ€™s owners.

Having hovered up new owners over the international break, it remains to be seen if todayโ€™s 68-minute blank will raise the first alarm bells. Itโ€™s unthinkable to consider that Lukaku wonโ€™t go on delivering value for his 8.0 price tag but value from our strikers isnโ€™t a major consideration, right now.

There could be concern that, long-term, Lukaku may struggle to keep pace with the Liverpool pairing, Olivier Giroud, Sergio Aguero and Unitedโ€™s forwards โ€“ this is without considering the return of Christian Benteke.

With so much value available in midfield, three heavy-hitting forwards can be a reality and, given the form being shown in the current Fantasy landscape, we canโ€™t afford a drop in output from any of our strikers, particularly those who tempt the armband. It may be just one blank but Lukaku needs a goal at Villa.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How cheap is Glen Johnson??? 5.7 in a team that will get more cleanies than most and playing as a more or less midfielder.

Sounds good, but definitely not Cissokho (Enrique is better, so will take his spot back), and I don't know if Toure will start every game once Coutinho is fit (might move back to 4-3-3, aka only two CB's out of Toure, Agger, Skrtl, Sakho)

It all depends on the formation they go for. If they switch back to 4-2-3-1, Moses might play on the wing and a CB gets dropped, or if teh y keep the 3-4-1-2, Moses gets dropped. I'd just like to avoid the rotation worries if I were you.

Save my 1FT with 5.7m in the bank?

    Mignolet
    Coleman, VIDIC, Clyne
    Ozil, Michu, Barkley, R Morrison
    Lukaku, Suarez, Giroud

    Lewis, Brady, B Turner, WILSON

Players in cap's are worrying me.

If Vidic starts, he is likely to get a CS in my opinion. Stoke are struggling to score. Therefore, i will keep Vidic for GW9.

As for Ramsey, I am not getting him as I am playing catch up in my ML. The two people ahead of me have Ramsey. I decided to go for R Morrison as a differential.

    Morning All,

Just can't seem to catch a break at the moment - do you have any advice for transfers for this team with 2 FT in hand:

    Migs - Daniels
    Kos - Vidic - Shaw - Burner - Chester
    Michu - Lamps - Siggy - HBA - Whittingham
    Rooney - Suarez - Giroud

Moses (WBA) - Ozil (cpl) - Ramsey (cpl) - Michu (WHM)
Sturridge (WBA) - Giroud (cpl) - Lukaka (avl)

Sub: Barkley (avl), Terry (MCI), Burner (nor)

    A : Moses --> Hazard / Oscar / Lallana
    B : Moses --> Lallana -and- Lukaku --> Suarez [-4pts]

I saw the hilights from yesterday where I saw him narrowly miss a chance and have also seen him come close several times all season, luckiky in this game how he plays is irrelevant, its his stats that count and he has just been a bit unlucky this season.

That will turn and instead of hitting the post they will go in, the fact that hes been unlucky tells you that hes still doing the right things just not hitting the back if the net yet.

I have also kept faith, sit 4th in my money league and doing ok points wise (434 with Speroni to play) compared to thosr who say having him weakens the squad.

My team looks strong on paper too and feel that when he hits form the season will take shape, it will come.

Would you feel comfortable captaining Aguero as there is that rotation threat. Nevertheless, you have to consider him the way he is playing.

I will never get Aguero again, messed up my team too many times to get him in to see him rotated or injured, they got so many options that its not worth the risk now the CL has started and Suarez, Giroud, Benteke and Sturridge are all available.

So after wengers pre match comments I decided to bench Ramsey over Barkley, correctly guessing a bench role. That's where analysing press conferences gets you! Michu (c) fail as well and a shocking gw! Team looks great on paper for next week, getting jerky though, want aguero for Rooney but a bad fixture reverse is just about holding me off. 38 pts sucks!!

I think the safest thing is to wait 7 days - then it's a move that's easy to justify. Rooney's not setting the scoring alight but he is accumulating points steadily, so you shouldn't really think of getting rid with Stoke at home to come.

    Need to replace Moses:

    A) R Morrison
    B) Brady
    C) Barkley

I was thinking Brady, as he's a bit of a diff in my mini league, and he's on pens (right?).

Then also really want to pull the trigger on Rooney > Aguero (I Have 2FTs). Does the form over fixtures rule apply when Rooney's playing Stoke and Aguero Chelsea?

    Mignolet (lewis)

    Chico dawson Clyne

    Ramsey Ozil Michu Barkley

    Bench with reasons :

Coleman - I need to catch ML rival by 29... So need a differentiator (no CS for Everton since 2003 vs villa)
Rmorrisson - can he really keep scoring? Certainly not better than any of my other front 7 though

If you insist on losing one of them, I think Giroud is the one to lose considering fixtures... but just consider what it means. Ditching a nailed on striker in a team that is just plowing through at the moment scoring goals for fun with Ozil playing behind him.

Cazorla has just come back, Walcott back soon with Özil in top form, fixtures look hard but find a team that has taken better care of fixtures in 2013???
