Ravel Morrison is the latest player to climb atop the Suspension Tightrope after picking up a booking for a challenge on Michu in yesterday’s goalless draw at the Liberty:

The Hammers youngster is one of a quartet of protagonists just a single caution away from a one-match ban; he must avoid another yellow until after January 1 (Gameweek 21) in order to trigger an automatic suspension. The others include Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini and Villa pair Fabian Delph and Ashley Westwood, though in terms of Fantasy interest, Morrison, with two goals and an assist in the last five league games, is the major concern, with a 5% ownership in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Flamini’s potential groin injury, which forced him off after just eight minutes in Saturday’s win at Palace, means he has now gone two appearances without incurring the referee’s wrath, compared to four booking in his first five upon returning to the Emirates.

The Frenchman’s midfield partner Mikel Arteta was also in the headlines after he was dismissed
at Selhurst Park for denying a goalscoring opportunity to former team-mate Marouane Chamakh. Arteta will now serve a one-match ban in the midweek Capital One Cup clash against Chelsea but with Flamini possibly sidelined through injury, Arsene Wenger may not have the chance to rest Aaron Ramsey for the Blues’ showdown as he prepares for a run of games which also pits the Gunners against Liverpool, Dortmund and United over the space of 12 days from tomorrow evening onwards.

There are no less than 28 players bubbling under, all on the three-card mark. Amongst the new arrivals from Gameweek 9, Tottenham’s Paulinho is the most popular pick with an 11% ownership, while Swansea right-back Angel Rangel (2%) and City centre-half Matija Nastasic (1%) remain differentials.

On a bizarre side note, Ryan Shawcross received his second booking of the season for an altercation with Robin Van Persie during Stoke’s 3-2 loss at Old Trafford. Potters boss Mark Hughes was left bemused after the referee in charge, Lee Mason, followed his captain into the away dressing room in order to dish out a yellow card

“Ryan was booked in the dressing room. The referee made a point of knocking on the door and booking him. I’ve no idea why. He pushed him I think but I’ve no idea because I didn’t see the incident but he wanted to book Ryan. I’ve never known anyone get booked in the dressing room before.”

In terms of bans served, Newcastle will welcome back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa to the fold after the centre-half served a one-match ban in yesterday’s derby defeat to Sunderland – with Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor closing in on injury comebacks, he may face a struggle to make an immediate first-team return.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Who should I bench first out of Wilson and El Ahmadi? Currently got Wilson first, there's a chance Stoke could get a clean sheet, so it's either 2, 1 or 6 points. But then he might not start. Or I could go with El Ahmadi as a 2 pointer.

    People who are getting Chelsea midfielders this week what are you thinking? Personally I think I might do.

    Ben Arfa - Lampard/Schurrle
    Michu - Oscar

    Michu does have great fixtures but not looking great so should shift?

    The stats tell me to get Lampard but it feels like Schurrle would be a good differential.

      I done this yesterday, and you've got Rooney wrong at least.

      Past Four Meetings:
      Ageuro v Norwich - Home: 1G Away: 3G 1A
      Silva v Norwich - Home: 1A Away: 2A
      RVP v Fulham - Home: 1G Away: 0 (2 matches playing at Arsenal)
      Rooney v Fulham - Home: 1G Away: 2G
      Giroud v Liverpool - Home: 1G 1A Away: 0 (Only 2 previous meetings)
      Sturridge v Arsenal - Home: 0 Away: 1A (3 games at Chelsea, 1 at Liverpool - where he got the assist)
      Suarez v Arsenal - Home: 0 Away: 2G
      Benteke v West Ham - Home: 1G Away: 0 (Only 1 fixture)

      G = Goal A = Assist

    Anyone want to take part in my 2012 ICC World Twenty20
    How does it work?
    There are 12 teams in total, comprising of 6 players each.
    There are 4 playing squad members and 2 members on the bench (like FPL).
    The team's total runs scored = Sum of each of the 11 players' FPL scores
    All point hits count. No new FPL teams created for this purpose will be tolerated.
    The two teams then go head-to-head based on the fixture list
    There are 4 groups in total, 3 in each group.
    There are 27 matches to be played during the ICC World Twenty20, 12 in group stages, 12 in Super Eights, two Semi-finals and a final.
    The seedings used are those allocated at the start of the tournament and are not affected by group stage results, with the exception that if a non-seeded team knocks out a seeded team, the non-seeded team inherits the seeding of the knocked-out team.

    Each team is led by a captain and VC, guided by a coach.
    The captains are chosen by the coaching staff.
    The role of the captain is to scout for his team members and a vice-captain.
    The captain and the coach decide their playing 11 every week.
    The teams are:
    Group A- England India Afghanistan
    Group B- Australia West Indies Ireland
    Group C- Sri Lanka South Africa Zimbabwe
    Group D- Pakistan New Zealand Bangladesh

    [this got lost on the other page...]
    Please PLEASE just give me the nudge I need to do this (or tell me it's dumb)... Worth pulling the trigger on the following three right now for a 4pt hit?

    Yaya --> Brady
    Giroud --> Aguero
    Sturridge --> Suarez

    That would leave me with:

    Vorm / Marshall
    Baines / Terry / Clyne / Rosenior / Wilson
    Oscar / Ramsey / Michu / Janz / Brady
    Suarez / Aguero / Lukaku

    0.1 in the bank and Wilson --> Rat next week

    Thanks!

      The odd thing is that taken individually, I couldn't really recommend any of the transfers, but i agree the overall finished team looks good - do it if you feel strongly about it, but unless you have exact money I would at least wait til after the midweek games

        Thanks fantacity. Problem is the money - I've got 0.1 spare after those transfers, and I think Suarez and Aguero will rise tonight (and Suarez probably again this week...). I guess kun is the one I'm least sure about, but maybe it's worth just taking the plunge.

    repost:

    Do Suarez, Aguero justify their price tags (like RVP) compared to already owned Sturridge, Giroud, Rooney?

    i mean as it stands in my team Giroud occupies 9mil and sturridge 9.6. In order to get Suarez and Aguero 4.2 million is needed. Wont this 4,2 mil improve people's squads and cover overall for more points covering the difference in points Suarez and Aguero would pottentially get compared to Sturridge and Giroud? Rooney and Man Utd do have the better fixtures until the January wildcard so i think ditching Rooney is not wise imo

    thoughts please?

      problem is surely (in part) lack of standout midfield options? If there were a load of cast-iron big-money midfield point-scorers this season I'd be inclined to stick with sturridge and giroud over suarez and aguero (see my dilemma above), but lack of options elsewhere pushes me towards getting them in. Plus with the big strikers you always fear getting left behind as price rises go crazy, making it more difficult to get them in later in the season.

    Right, will try for a few more opinions 😉

    So my thoughts are Giroud + Paulinho -> Tekkers + Oscar for -8.

    Not a fan of big hits but both of highly better fixtures and I would want them for the long term. Any thoughts gents? I'm sorely tempted.

              Hits if carefully planned are fine. Tekkers and Oscar could do damage this weekend. Giroud likes a goal in London though. Could you do Paulinho > Oscar or don't you have the cash?

                But Suarez will finish more. Nothing against Sturridge but his consistent injury issues and the fact that other strikers are beginning to ramp up is a big threat. Hell Benteke, without injury, would be scoring much better now. Benteke has one of the best goal/minutes played ratios in the history of the game.
