    I don't know that you'll get the consistency factor from benteke/giroud/lukaku, that you'll get from rooney (i'd put rooney as 3rd priority behind uarez & aguero, who are just too explosive & consistent not to have imho)
    
    Although if lukaku bags a brace today people will have to sit up & take notice, a la ramsey.

    Agreed, there are so many good cheap players this year that the money needs to be spent somewhere... so whynnot splash out on grade A firepower where it counts most? The likes of wiiliams (4.8), clyne (4.6), coleman (5.0), vorm (5.0), brady (5.2), and even ramsey if you got him early enough, are all solid, solid points scorers.

Gerrard (FUL) - Ozil (mun) - Silva (sun) - Whittingham (avl)

Benteke (CAR) - Lukaku (cry) - Suarez (FUL)

Bench: Camp - Amilfitano - Jones - Chester

Don't want to play Whittingham or anyone on the bench!

Could:

a) go 4 at back and replace Chester with a 4.6 budget
b) Do Whittingham/Amilfitano out with a 5.7/5.8 budget

    Yeah, interesting...RMT was recommending Vlaar as the top sub 4.5 defender a fortnight ago and folk were questioning it.

      I got him in for Hull away, and then benched him till this week. Two games 17pts. Really a great signing for me. Though of course he has nothing on the Saints duo of course.

  Is captaining benteke trying to be too clever? Deviating from the "keep it simple, stupid" method of captaincy choice always seems to blow up in my face. So i'll be captaining luis, who is a more explosive player, with an easier fixture, and in better form than benteke.
