Festive rotation and Mark and Granville’s rivalry were among the key discussions taking place amongst the community this week. Elsewhere, veteran poster, Christina, upped his game to deliver a pair of popular hot topics; we take a look back on these, whilst rounding off with our usual focus on the tournaments active in the community.

The Hottest Topics

Just how much rotation will there be during the hectic festive fixture list? Greenwindmill has been offering some crumbs of comfort with his detailed analysis of how the team sheets panned out over winter last season. For a number of sides, in particular Everton and Southampton, he found that rotation was less severe than we expected. The Serjeant has also been looking at festive rotation and in particular to investigate which teams have the most cluttered Christmas.

For those looking to scrape the very darkest depths of the Premier League barrel Christina has been on hand to look at the slender pickings among the worst performing clubs. Jonathan Walters and Dimitar Berbatov are among those ultra-differentials being offered up.

Not sure what they’ve been putting in the water at Christina’s place, but the community verteran has been flying this week, notching up a second hot topic nomination, this time looking ahead to the January Wildcard and the best time to throw it down.

The tussle for supremacy among ScoutCast rivals Mark and Granville has captured the imagination of Just A Hat this week, who wonders if Granville will maintain his mini-league lead. Lateriser12 feels that Granville is set thrash Mark this season, while Tinkerman envisages a miraculous comeback for Mark.

Among those to answer our hot topic about whether Christmas is the season for giving our bench fodder an overhaul, or taking a risk that they won’t be needed was Fratboy, who is seizing the moment to ditch Cardiff’s Jordan Mutch.

Captaining a player in an early Saturday kick off is often seen as the nemesis of any superstitious Fantasy Football manager. Luckily Nice To Finally Michu was on hand to run roughshod over this old wives tale. His analysis of captain options in the early games this season so far show that whether a player starts at 12:45pm or 3pm makes no difference to their chances of racking up a respectable points haul. I also dropped my monkey’s foot in surprise.

The Community Leagues

Thomass67 tells us he is launching a doubles ‘Big Bash League’ shortly. For more information and to register ahead of the November 29 deadline click here.

TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing lost another 32 managers this week leaving 586 left. Myo Min Thant leads seeding for the FPL Open and Beric leads for the Elite 64 competition. More details can be found here.

Meanwhile the FFS UEFA FA Cup Tournament is underway this weekend. A review of last week’s stage and the latest on this week’s can be seen here.

If you have Aguero and captain Lukaku, you're a lunatic..imo (especially if aguero is rested midweek).

They tore an epic defense a new one, wait until they play Swansea who have hardly been prolific in defense..another 6 wouldn't surprise me

I agree with you, equally, if Sandro wasn't on the line, Aguero would have 38...and if Nasri had scored that chip, he'd have 44, and if Lloris didn't make that point blank save he could've had 52.

        But there we go 😉

My rival had Rooney + Evra...so I got annihilated today. Really didn't enjoy the utd game. Hoping for HUGE returns from Benteke and Sessegnon tomorrow, but that is quite unlikely

      i just think about it

why not have 3 big hitters without loosing player who preform well for you

      aslo keep 3 strikers

you can easily make rotation cheap defenders who will do well

that's my strategy for getting wally in

should be easy and without any points hit

It's the kind of challenge a player can get away without seeing red, with some good fortune. It wasn't particularly nasty or dangerous so he didn't *deserve* to go - presumably why the ref gave him a break.

On the verge of shipping Yaya and Hangeland for Oscar and Skrtel for -4 , this will leave me £0 in bank. Any reason to hold on??

      Seems good to me tbh.

Oscar and Skrtel seem good options, Yaya overpriced and Hangeland is a player I would not even want at 5th choice defender..

Really good example today why not to have Yaya. Six goals, five points. He's overperformed this season points wise. Not that he isn't an epic player, just not for this game.

Found this tweet from BAE interesting, a player he should never have sent out on loan, http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/benoit-assou-ekotto-tweets-spurs-fan-that-he-will-return-when-avb-leaves/?

Looked awful today. Very poor at the back and i mindfield. Holtby and Lamela is not PL quality imo. Soldado not getting any service. Something need to be done.

what is their best xi though? lamela needs time, eriksen's crocked, holtby can't seem to find any regular form, townsend is way overrated, siggy is in and out of the team, sandro is too reckless, dembele should be playing, soldado hasn't performed and should be dropped, defoe should be given more chances, adebayor. enough said.

I think at least Dembele should play further up the pitch. He along Eriksen is their most creative player.

Agree. He has not been good enough, but he is a striker that needs better players around him than Remy it seems. Remy also did well at QPR

    Lol @ people buying Giroud.

    Did you see his goals?

He won't get a keeper who has a moment of idiocy every week, nor will he get a penalty, especially as he is THIRD in line to the proverbial throne.

The point is the same as it always was. Being the main striker for Arsenal will mean he'll get plenty of points. I sold him ages ago because I thought he'd been over-performing and seemed to be looking like his old self in front of goal. In a way I got it right because the goals did dry up at that time but he's still been getting the points from assists and now lucky goals. Decent choice for 3rd striker I suppose

Definitely considering price. I say third forward because two spots have to be taken by Aguero and Suarez ofc.

Hey folks, hope your week score has been good, I can't say the same...

Maybe I'll do RVP to Aguero before the price rise again tonight… is this a wise move?

2ft and 0,4 Itb, what do you think? With the other FT maybe I’ll go Paulinho to Wally or Oscar, don’t know yet.
    This would leave me with:

    Ramsey-Walcott/Oscar-Amalfitano-Arnautovic-Ravel Morrison
    Aguero-Suarez-Lukaku

I know, no Man Utd cover…
    Any other suggestion?
