Festive rotation and Mark and Granville’s rivalry were among the key discussions taking place amongst the community this week. Elsewhere, veteran poster, Christina, upped his game to deliver a pair of popular hot topics; we take a look back on these, whilst rounding off with our usual focus on the tournaments active in the community.

The Hottest Topics

Just how much rotation will there be during the hectic festive fixture list? Greenwindmill has been offering some crumbs of comfort with his detailed analysis of how the team sheets panned out over winter last season. For a number of sides, in particular Everton and Southampton, he found that rotation was less severe than we expected. The Serjeant has also been looking at festive rotation and in particular to investigate which teams have the most cluttered Christmas.

For those looking to scrape the very darkest depths of the Premier League barrel Christina has been on hand to look at the slender pickings among the worst performing clubs. Jonathan Walters and Dimitar Berbatov are among those ultra-differentials being offered up.

Not sure what they’ve been putting in the water at Christina’s place, but the community verteran has been flying this week, notching up a second hot topic nomination, this time looking ahead to the January Wildcard and the best time to throw it down.

The tussle for supremacy among ScoutCast rivals Mark and Granville has captured the imagination of Just A Hat this week, who wonders if Granville will maintain his mini-league lead. Lateriser12 feels that Granville is set thrash Mark this season, while Tinkerman envisages a miraculous comeback for Mark.

Among those to answer our hot topic about whether Christmas is the season for giving our bench fodder an overhaul, or taking a risk that they won’t be needed was Fratboy, who is seizing the moment to ditch Cardiff’s Jordan Mutch.

Captaining a player in an early Saturday kick off is often seen as the nemesis of any superstitious Fantasy Football manager. Luckily Nice To Finally Michu was on hand to run roughshod over this old wives tale. His analysis of captain options in the early games this season so far show that whether a player starts at 12:45pm or 3pm makes no difference to their chances of racking up a respectable points haul. I also dropped my monkey’s foot in surprise.

The Community Leagues

Thomass67 tells us he is launching a doubles ‘Big Bash League’ shortly. For more information and to register ahead of the November 29 deadline click here.

TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing lost another 32 managers this week leaving 586 left. Myo Min Thant leads seeding for the FPL Open and Beric leads for the Elite 64 competition. More details can be found here.

Meanwhile the FFS UEFA FA Cup Tournament is underway this weekend. A review of last week’s stage and the latest on this week’s can be seen here.

    @HVT

We were having a long discussion on which cheap budget defender to get in.....

It was terribly exciting! In the end I did nothing and saved the transfer, hence why I have 2FT and 1.3 in the bank looking at how to set my team up nicely for this week...

I think Brady will become Morrison (v FUL), and then I will have 1.5m to make a positive difference elswhere, either to get rid of Benteke if he blanks, or to upgrade Chester if Tekkers smashes it........

What you thinking about this week?

Ah yes the Newc def conundrum !
(There was also a massive Toure debate ! )
I did Chico > Mert last night before rise and sitting tight , I couldn't stand sitting behind the couch (c) Aguero and hoping Chico didn't concede !
      Boruc
      GJ /Jevan / Mert
      Ozil / Oscar / Mira / Brady
      Aguero / Suarez / Lukaka

Chico to Mert is a solid move, I would sit tight...

Midfield is really tough this year! Not so much value in that mid price bracket.... a good week to get Ravel in if you dont have him.... v Fulham at home....and I got rid of Ozil a few weeks back as just feel he is overpriced,

Like that frontline especially for this gameweek! Big score coming....tempted by Lukaku myself for a one weeker....

          I completely disagree with this.

Snoddy is a starter or completely out player for norwich as he's their best player, so at home to palace you start him and if not fit let the auto-subs do the work.

Bench Ramsey (I know the gamble and history, but he's less likely to start than the others, and more likely to get 15 minutes)

    2) are people holding barkley because i cant understand why people are shipping, luka cant score without him and he was excellent against pool. martinez only dropped him for a rest and osman got rewarded with a following match due to his haul. At the price barkley is a steal imo and people should hold or get in gwk 16 if they havent!!

    Repost. Help appreciated.

I have a problem logging in to some web sites like fantasy premier league and this site from my personal laptop and that is using all browsers . However, I can log in from my work laptop without problems. I cleared the browser cache, cookies and still nothing. I don't know if there was a browser update or flash update.

Anyone faced a similar problem? Any suggestions?

Lukaku on Pens & FKs while Baines is out? He could be a monster points scorer over next few weeks. I actually fancy him to throw Evans & Rio around like Rag dolls at old trafford in GW14 - Utd are not great at the back.

He's notched good scores against City & Liverpool so far - A goal against united would arguably see him assume the hallowed "fixture proof" label...

    Boruc // Harper
    Zabaleta // Mertesacker // Walker // Baker // Figueroa
    Yaya // Hazard // Ramsey // Arnautovic // Januzaj
    Aguero // Suarez // Benteke
    1FT
    0.5m

    a) Harper + Walker > Mignolet + 4.4m (maybe, Williamson of NEW) for a -4
    b) Harper + Walker + Arnie > Mignolet + Dawson + Ravel for -8.

Is there any other way I can fund the transfer? Or, is there any other GK rotating nicely with Boruc?

    Good morning guys.

After 8 green arrows in the last 9 I have got myself up to 20K (My target is my first top 10K finish).

This was mainly due to having Aguero, Suarez and Rooney before they hit it big and have been lucky with my captaincy choices too.

The rest of my team have been hit and miss, so where do you think I can improve.

I have no Chelsea coverage, so considering Oscar/Hazard but is it worth losing Ozil ?
