Once again, Paddy Power have delivered a tempting offer ahead of this evening’s midlands derby at The Hawthorns. Our bookmaker friends are offering improved odds of 9/1 on an Aston Villa win at West Brom in the final match of Gameweek 12.

Given that the regular odds on a Villa victory are just 5/2, this is clearly another great deal for those yet to sign up with Paddy. Click here to take advantage of this offer.

To clarify, the Villa enhanced odds specials are limited to a £10 stake, are open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Aguero Vs Suarez - Captaincy Conundrum - GW 13

    Aguero and Suarez are both undoubtedly in amazing form, and both of these players have favourable fixtures for game week 13. Some people have said it's a bit of a hard choice this game week when deciding on who to captain, so I thought I'd look into who's the best captaincy choice, to help me and you guys.

    Below I've analysed Swansea's away performances - Aguero's fixture, and Hull's home performances - Suarez's fixture. I've also pitted Aguero's and Suarez's stats head to head to see which one could be the best captain option.

    Opponents: (These aren't averages.)

    Swansea:
    Last Three Fixtures - car / STO / ful
    Last Three Away Fixtures - sot / car / ful

    Hull:

    Last Three Home Fixtures - AVL / SUN / CPL

    Last Three Home Fixtures - 1.66

    Suarez:
    Away - 2
    Last Three Fixtures - 3.66
    Last Three Away Fixtures - 2.66

    After analysing the opponents and the players it's clear that Hull look the more defensive side at home when comparing them to Swansea's performances away, and Aguero looks more threatening at the Etihad than Suarez does on the road. This may be fairly obvious to some of you, but the stats back it up!

    My armband will be placed firmly on Aguero for game week 13! I hope it works out for whoever joins me, even though most of you probably already would have.

          Thanks, I'll have a nosy at Rooney's fixtures and see how the CL matches pan out as I have a cushion of .4 in for price of increases.

          Just concerned that Rooney has been, in my opinion, excellent of late and if RvP is out for any length of time Rooney will be main threat for United. Rooney on 4 yellows; a retrospective ban would have helped my decision.

    Suarez through the looking glass.

    After picking my team for next week, I realised that I'd captained Aguero over Suarez yet on the bench I'd ordered Williams (mcy) ahead of Figueroa (LIV).

    Why? Aguero and Suarez are each the main attacking outlet for their respective clubs, and it's not like I think that Suarez is more likely to share the goals with his teammates - if anything I think the opposite.

    I think what's happened is that when choosing my captain I considered H/A fixtures (all other things seemingly about equal) but when choosing the bench order I focussed solely on perceived threat of the opposition (with the home-playing defender relegated to 3rd placed sub).

    So clearly I regard Suarez as the greater danger; surely I should switch the armband to him instead?

    Perhaps in future I should try to imagine which of my attackers' opponents' defenders I would rather play if I had them, and through this looking-glass world make better, more intuitive captaincy decisions?

        I think Bolton - Bolton ! - played in Europe one year under Sam. And he signed some terrific players there. He's brought in Morrision and Maiga was obviously a pure squad choice. West Ham's downfall this year has been Carroll's injury, not really Allardyce's fault.

    I may be knee jerking, but the thoughts of going without Aguero next week is making me very nervous. So, what are peoples thoughts on:

    Giroud and Ozil out, Ramsey and Aguero in?

    The only downside is that I'll have very similar teams to rivals.

    Mignolet;
    Koscielny, G.Johnson, B.Turner;
    Özil, Oscar, Brady, Januzaj;
    Agüero(c), Suárez, Rooney.

    Bunn; Whittingham, Shaw, Rosenior.

    1FT; £0.4m in the bank.

    Thinking of just doing Januzaj/Whittingham to Morrison and monitoring the Özil/Walcott situation.

    Thoughts(Apart from how shite my midfield is)? 😉

    Ahhhhh I wonder if there's more merit to carrying forward an FT for next week if your team has 11 playable players. An injury/knock to one of them and its likely they won't be able to recover in time for the next GW.

            i was thinking about lampard for whole week, former club, chelsea needs win, but instead i opt for disaster. my only chance is to bring a 100% 16 pt player and (C) him. i cant take hits. just survive till i get 2 wildcards. in which I can create a team for week or two and then shift back to the normal long run 1.
