With little time for turnaround between Gameweeks, we roll out the Round 2 results and Round 3 Draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup VII, sponsored by Paddy Power, this evening. Before we look at the remaining contenders for the crown, those taking part should note that these ties take place over Gameweek 15 – the Gameweek 14 midweek matches do not count towards your tally:

Our defending champion Wild Rover seems to have risen to the occasion and, having climbed the rankings in the last couple of weeks, now faces Hillbillypete for a place in the Fourth Round. Wild Rover is one of only three previous Scout Cup winners still remaining; GoonerDave goes up against Mufcste55 – the latter is the favourite here, sitting just outside the top 10,000 – whilst sleepingmaster pits his wits against bigfourleggedbeast.

Mark’s podcast co-host and Champions League tipster Granville swept aside Dullardinho last weekend and now faces The Upper Deckers, who sits just inside the top 1 million. Gaz Downright – who tops the Contributors and Moderators league – is up against 2ndMan, whilst fellow moderators applebonkers and Ryan have been drawn against ste2510 and Bedknobs and Boomsticks respectively.

Amongst the community members still in with a shout, Tommy Tynan’s Left Shin Pad takes on Jafooli, The Sarjeant faces Isacki, EpicFAIL has been drawn against The Shadow and Daniel plays host to The Flying Nugget.

Giuliop11 may well be considered the favourite for the title. Sitting in 164th spot overall, he’s the man to avoid – Ferenc55 stands in his way of a Fourth Round spot.

As usual, we name-check the highest scoring winner from the previous round. Realunitedfc takes the honour, after racking up 90 points in Gameweek 13 – now up to around the 17,000-mark, he swaggers into the next fixture against bcdahm.

If you fancy a glance back at the Round 2 results, click here or if you are awaiting the fixture list for the next batch of head-to-head, the draw for the Third Round is available here.

As always, good luck to those still in with a shout of the silverware.

This season I have owned both Sess and Downing at a time other than when owning on a wc to gain a double rise, and I got Migs in GW4 and he's had 1 CS since

Yet I would still say that Williams has been my worst buy this season.

    1) who to remove first between januzaj and Barkley??
    2) Paulinho or coutinho? Former is super nailed on, good stats but poor form. Both have good fixtures. Leaning towards paulinho as it will leave me with 1.5m in the bank whereas coutinho leaves me with 0m

do NOT be fooled by paulinho's stats. i had him for about 10 weeks and he got me one assist. spurs are not playing well enough atm and although pauli has A LOT of shots, if you actually watch a game they are usually flying out of the stadium. trust me, steer clear and look elsewhere. i would much rather coutinho

Cout. If im not mistaken paulinho played inthe hole against united but would he be nailed on there? Id rather take my chances on cout esp that sturridge is out.. what would you do with the spare cashh if you go pau?

Don't think it matters too much if he plays as cm or cam as he always gets in the box a lot, my biggest attraction is that he will play every game during the Xmas period...
Haven't thought Abt the use of extra cash but could upgrade Nasri >> Wally//vidic or Dawson to terry

should I get Morrisson to replace Amalfitano, or should I sit on my FT?

Other idea is to drop Senderos for a defender in the 5.3 or less = any bright suggestions [thinking MOXEY looks nice and cheap] but that's not that crucial tonight.

So after hours of consideration I have decided to get Howard in for Boruc. It's two games early but I can't see the value in having to make another keeper sub in two weeks time as there are no keepers who look like getting two clean sheets in the next two.

Looking forward I'm considering a Howard, Coleman, Jagielka triple up and playing 433 every week.
This is because there is no value in the mid price midfielders this year.
A decent defender for 6m gets you roughly 60 points so far, the same price midfielder will have about 40.

Is anyone else considering the Everton triple up? It does make it more exciting having all those eggs in a few baskets!

Team in 2 weeks time should be...

    Howard, Harper
    Terry, Mert, Coleman, Jagielka, (Gabbidon)
Oscar, Hazard, Ramsey (Morrison, El Ahmadi)
    Aguero, Suarez, Rooney

Yeah, he should be great up until the new year wildcard, it just feels a bit wrong bring in a goalkeeper who's next two are Man U and Arsenal away!

If they have the best fixtures why not go for it? It worked pretty well doing the same with Stoke for a couple of seasons! It should be better than having a Liverpool defender in there anyway!

Just seems way too reliant on one team getting a clean sheet. I would maybe stretch to 2 but never 3 unless they were the most watertight team in the league

I'm not in a head to head league so don't care about weekly points, just getting that overall up! I assume I'm on my own then! The only issue I can see is having to make 2 transfers if I decide I want Lukaku

And no chance Ozil will be rested, far far to important for Arsenal at the moment, top of the Prem,Wenger would not risk benching him.

If Giroud is rested... which I think he will.

and if Lukaku reminds United once again he can do, with the great form of Everton behind him.

yeah that's why I am being slow to get him cos he is 0.3 more than when I first thought of it so I am being stubborn, like everyone who hasnt got Ramsey.

Then again I managed very well without Sterling last year.

I had Sterling last year, and was one of the first few, when he got 11 points. But I'm one of those stubborn players this year and haven't gotten Ramsey.

here's my Dead Team so I only need to sort the starters, bench and captaincy. good to go like this? subs in that order?

apparently a typical Dead Team doesn't allow ANY changes, we've accidentally set up only saying no transfers and that's it..

    Migs
    Clyne, Walker, Evra
    Yaya, Ravel, Hazard, Ramsey
    Lukaku (vc), Remy, Suarez (c)

    McGregor | 1. Brady 2. Williams 3. Chester

    cheers!

I'd go with Gerrard, he's on form and liverpool have some great fixtures.
Coutinho is almost the same price but not scoring too well yet, Walcott needs a few games back, you can re-assess him if he starts scoring. Yaya isn't a bad option but I don't see him as prolific as Gerrard.

Oh god I hate the thought of bringing brunt into my side but it seems I have no other options. Got ravel already, thinking of barkley to brunt but it just seems such a poor move as brunt is hardly a stand out choice.

I just need someone who is nailed on and will get me a decent score. Brunt is cheap but never going to set the world on fire.
