We roll out another instalment of our new weekly article for Members this evening, offering an in-depth statistical analysis of the main captaincy contenders for the Gameweek ahead. Each of the top four supply us with a player apiece this time out as we crunch the numbers to determine whether there really is an alternative to a certain Uruguayan for the armband:

Anyone know who's more nailed on in the Canaries defence - Olsson or Bennet?

I believe Bennet is only in the team because of an injury to Murner.

Not sure how reliable the above source is though.

Olsson is thus more nailed on.

I have chosen the LAS frontline but am now trying to decide whether to have 2 big hitting mids, Ramsey and 2 cheapies that rotate for 4th spot. OR.... Going for 3 Big mids and Ramsey with a really cheap 5th mid (4.3 - 4.5) and a £5 ➡ £4m spot in defence.

    What are you doing??

I'm stuck in a similar position - although with a much worse team than yourself. I'm thinking towards someone like Delph, El Ahmadi, or Bannan who are likely to start most games so at least I'll have 2 points on the bench if needed (don't expect Delph to provide returns like this week although it would be nice). Frees up a bit of cashola.

I'm currently on three cheap mids as I didn't get on the Ramsay bandwagon.I just dont see any value in a mid priced mid or even many of the big hitters. Spending the cash in defence for now

Hmmm... there is a dearth of points there. Between £5.5m and £9m it's really tough to find value. Better to go for a more expensive def in one or two spots and get at least 2 cheap ass nailed mids.

I got ravel at 4.4 has done the business. I'm on Ozil and Hazard for the big guns. May even downgrade Ozil if I need the cash elsewhere when the time arrives. Well worth spending an extra 0.5 here or there on a defender I think.

    Hey Guys!

My defence has broken my heart for the past 2 weeks.. any suggestions how to fix this...

    (Boruc), Migs
Baker, Flanagan, Collocini, Coleman, (O' Brien)
    Walcott, Lampard, Ramsey, Brady, (Januzai)
    Aguero, Suarez, (Rooney)

1 FT, 0.9 in the bank.

I know i should dump my liverpool defence but i have something telling me they'll come good this weekend!!

I decided to keep faith in GJ one more time.
Boruc is sucking your money dry so he should go soon! Maybe to a cheap with good fixtures like Marshall, Myhill or Spreoni.
Januzaj needs the bullet too so maybe someone like Bannan, Shelvey or Brunt.
Hopefullt Theo gets good game time this week as he has been a waste of a spot so far.

    Marshall (Davis)
    Terry GJ Gabbidon (Clyne Rosenior)
    Hazard Ramsey Gerrard Brady (Ravel)
    Suarez Aguero (Rooney)
    0 FT
    1 million in the bank
    A) Rosenior to Burner this week and Clyne to Distin next week
    B) Ravel to Redmond this week and Clyne to Coleman next week

Thanks.. cant decide my priority out. I got Brady wastin space in there too(who i'd much rather get rid off over Ravel but atleast brady is playin this week)

Normally getting Toure vs Soton away for a hit would be madness.. however with Boruc, Spiderman, Wanyama and possibly Clyne injured it could work. that team looks fantastic!! in your place i would instead spend my transfers on Sess/Barkley/Rosenior instead of Rooney

Think the Ward/Turner/Chester combo is good but if I were to drop any for an upgrade, maybe Chester>Kos or Speroni>Szcez.

Arsenal's attacking style and possession football is going to really limit chances for opponents. Many belittle their CS chances cos of the weaker defenders they have, but really it's their attacking style of play that benefits their defense.

Yup. It's time. Cut Ivan loose last week and felt fantastic with the extra 1.3m i got from downgrading to Kos with a clean sheet to boot.

    DZ, some assistance please

    Szcez/Jagielka (11.5 tomorrow) or Howard/Kosc (11.1) with Coleman already.

Won't do the transfer this week but just thinking going forward.

Leaning toward the latter. The keeper save points in each (both have similar Save numbers) should more or less keep up with the baps potential of both CBs.

Chester. Liverpool may tear us a new one and Rat came back from a hamstring injury. Perhaps one of the reasons why he was subbed off against Palace.

I have a feeling this GW and the CL/Europa will mix it up a bit with injuries/rotation. Gotta save the FT when possible.

    C'mon Januzaj, go salvage yourself!

Yea ENR, thinking of saving the FT ahead of the busy schedule. Planned on Clyne > Ward and play Ward/Coleman/Kosc/BTurner this week. Or would you just save and go out with this lot

      Mig
      Coleman Kosc BTurner Chester/Clyne
      Ozil Ramsey Hazard Sess
      Suarez Lukaku

      JWP and Rooney benched.

Seems like you can put out a good XI, I'd save. The only transfer I would consider is Roo > Kun, as it seems a good week to do the switch.

Yea have the cash for it, will consider but might want Rooney back in next week. Only got him in for the EVE game, knew the risks of the yellow but really thought he would get a good haul (he should have by all accounts, unlucky)

Thanks ENR. might just save it if possible.

Rooney and Sess out for Lukaku and Toure (-4)? Would leave me with:

    Mignolet
    Terry, Clyne, Ward (Rosenior, Coleman)
    Toure, Gerrard, Hazard, Ramsey (Barkley)
    Suarez, Aguero, Lukaku

    Cheers.

Hmm I still wouldn't get Toure in yet, if you can wait a GW or 2, Silva should be back.

For now, would def play Coleman. Maybe just do Rooney > Lukaku, a good long term switch.

Personally, for the 3 striker spots..Suarez is a must + Lukaku and one of Aguero/Rooney.

    1FT
    3.5m in the bank

    Migs
    Kos/ Chester/ Ward/ A. Williams
    Ozil/ Hazard/ Brady
    Lukaku/ Aguero/ Suarez

    Harper/ JWP/ Morrison/ Clyne

I have used free to take Rooney out

What should I do with the money? Save it? Should I get Ramsey in for Brady? I have enough money for Coutinho as well, but not Gerrard. Any suggestions what to do?

    a) Chico to Evra

sess has proved wasteful. Is always dissapointing. I'm reluctant not to get Ramsey because of kak fixtures and I already have Ozil and I dont want to downgrade. I dont mind the third. I like Redmond.

i wouldnt take a hit to take swansea defender out to be honest. Are there fixture still okay? I can't remember (at work at the moment). It's tricky, playing fixtures have proved unfruitful this season. I'd prolly just do B if you have no other Arsenal attacking coverage,

    1)Bench 2 from

    Terry Jags Vlar GabD Chester

    2)Bench 1 from

    Oviedo Wally

Thinking of playing Vlar eventhough he is an injury doubt coz if he doesnt i can play 5 mid of Hazard Ramsey Gerrard Wally Oviedo. What do you think?

      1) Jags and Vlaar. This is on the premise that Ronnie might not play through injury.

      2) Oviedo. Walcott not guaranteed much time on the pitch and the Toffees might spring an upset.
