An upturn in form by Palace’s former Villa man and a certain enigmatic Bulgarian over at Craven Cottage come under the spotlight this evening. Tottenham’s improvement in front of goal and United’s faltering home form are also picked apart in our latest review of the statistics from the weekend and beyond:

Which cpl def would you choose and why?
    - ward 4m....hardly attacking potential, minimal baps but cheapest
    - gabbidon 4.2....extra 0.2 for baps
    - delaney 4.4m....seems to have decent goal threat and pulis likes set pieces

rooney is a great pick (i have him myself) but somehow i'd always feel much more comfortable captaining rvp over him if I had the choice.

    Hello my dear friends,

    I need your assitance here:

A: Chester over Dawson (Coleman and Jagielka IN) or B: Coleman, Jagielka, Chester and Dawson and play only with 2 forwards, I have Remy, Suarez and Agüero...

I'd be leery of sitting either Suarez or Aguero, but Arsenal look "triffic" defensively, so perhaps Citeh won't score four. you could play three at the back just a thought. I think Spuds will concede don't you?

Me and 7 mates picked an initial squad of 18 players. We play each other on a week by week basis, selecting 11 starters and no subs. Works like a mini league. Cash prizes for the winner and runner up.

You can. The rules are you can make one trade with another team a week and you can trade for one free agent a week. Double gameweeks mean two trades.

The idea of a draft league is no repeated players, but you can swap your players for unattached players or make transfers with a rival.

Ie only one person can own Suarez,
And if say no-one owns Fer you could drop a midfielder into the player pool and pick him up instead.

A bit risky having 3 - all it takes is one goal, one slight mistake, one moment of magic (Fulham's goals against Palace), one bad penalty decision.
I would never triple a defence, but doubling over good fixtures is definitely worth it

    Good morning DZers. 😀

    Howard
    Terry,Glen Johnson,Burner
    Hazard,Oscar,Sessegnon,Ravel
    Lukaku,Suarez,Aguero

    4m,Ramsey,Clyne,Faye

0 FT and 1.3m in the bank.

    A. Starting eleven and bench in order?
    B. GJ>Jagielka worth a hit? GJ has Spurs,City,Chelsea in the next four.

    Appreciate your thoughts.

I would be inclined not to take the hit. You already have Howard, and it's far from a guarantee that Everton will keep Fulham out (although the way it's being talked about, it's apparently a certainty)

You can always play Clyne (if fit) or 3 at the back for the tough Liverpool games.

        Cheers Arbroath.

Was thinking more long term with the Jagielka move. He tends to rack up baps when Everton do get a CS. I will have to give some more thought into it.

Definitely worth considering. I wasn't completely destroying the idea. Jags is the one to have in my opinion if you do bring in more Everton defence.

The ways Suarez, Rooney and Aguero are rising, it will be very difficult for someone planning to get one of them in January WC unless they have a high Team Value

Dont really understand the big rush to sell Mingolet , especially this close to wildcard time.

Clean sheets are difficult to predict , away to a goal shy Tottenham followed by a home tie with Cardiff in theory are not bad fixtures.
Plus everyone lumping on Howard who only one card off a suspension.

Yes Everton have kept a few cleanies on the trot , but as they say in the stockmarket - Past returns may not continue into the future

      Exactly my opinion.
I am a Migs owner, and has been frustrating over the last few weeks. However, Everton are not by any means guaranteed a CS - one mistake, bad decision or moment of magic and that's it gone.

Plus, for GK's, clean sheets aren't as important as for defenders, because save points are so good. Mignolet got 5 points despite letting in 3 goals against Everton.

Yes , harder the opponents tighter pool will play , and more chance of save points and penalty saves.

Norwich (H), West Ham (H) and C Palace (H) were also good fixtures but Liverpool did a great job in conceding goals there as well. Not only is Migs going to drop in value but he also has terrible fixtures coming up if you have no 2nd rotating GK.

I've currently kept him because it would take a 4 point hit to remove him (as my priority is to sub out Gerrard) but after Cardiff game I think I am ditching for either Howard or Lloris until the WC. In the meantime, Howard will rise by another 0.2/0.3 and Migs will probably go down to 5.4

Such a rise will only happen if Howard gets returns, remember Boruc? A few cs and Migs will become all the rage.

    0FT & £0.2 in a shoebox....

    Howard (Gazzinga)

    Zabaleta - Jagielka - Chester (Dawson,Clyne)

Yaya - Ozil - Ramsey - Shelvey (Mutch)

    Aguero - Lukaku - Suarez

Do I NEED Hazard for a hit (or 2)? Who should leave first, Zabs,Dawson or Clyne?

out of the 3 defenders Dawson or clyne should leave first.. Dont know why zab should leave though to be honest.. especially with kompany returning and also with the way he played this morning and changed the game in my opinion... not to mention richards getting injured (zabs only competition for a spot in the starting 11!

nah not for a hit because they are only on your bench anyway this week! so they arent really a problem for this gameweek alone. i think get hazard in for ozil and ditch one of the defenders next gameweek. if another pressing matter comes then just take a hit then, but no point this gw

Hi Guys would really appreciate some help.

2 FTs and £0.2 in bank.

    Vorm (Tremmel)

Terry, GJ, Burner (Clyne & Baker)

Ozil, Sess, Pablo Hernandez Nasri (Januzaj)

    Aguero Suarez Lukaku (c)

I'm willing to make 3 changes and take the -4. I'm a little wary in not having Hazard this week. Silva also seems a popular choice. Any recommendations?...

It's difficult to get Hazard in with 3 transfers unless you get rid of Qzil or Nasri.

How about GJ>Distin to generate some cash and save the other FT to facilitate the Hazard move next week?
