Walcott average position - He's a FWD.
I think it's probably average positions based on touches, rather than movement. Not sure how they normally work.
For instance, I think it might sometimes be misleading when teams get thrashings because of the strikers taking the kick offs - eg Soldado 6-0 vs City... and perhaps Giroud on Saturday.

Agreed Ramsey kinda came out of nowhere.
But Yaya averages 140-150 points a season and he is now on free kicks. So him doing better this season isn't a "casual success"
Yeah I have he usually gets 6th goals a season add in free kicks and I expected that he would score more goals. A player who gets on average 150 points a year is not a casual success story.
If there are, it is purely down to the obsession with this semi-imaginary "casual" player having increased

Posted this earlier today but it was lost among the CL draw posts so I thought I'd go for it again.
I thought I'd throw together a quick table to look at players who are having a large amount of shots in order to examine the quality of those shots by looking at things like big chance conversion, the percentage of goal attempts in the box, shot accuracy and goal conversion.
Before looking, I was interested to know about players like Soldado, Paulinho and Remy, who have been accused of having misleading stats in the sense that they have a large amount of shots but few goals to show for it.

After a quick look, I was interested by the following:
- Paulinho, Sess, Benteke and surpisingly Walcott's big chance conversion
- Özil, Wally, Chamak, Arnautovic, Sess, Ravmo, Cabaye, Giroud and Paulinho's shot accuracy
Raddy pointed out that Berba in the last 3 GWs is interesting (filer by GW range). Anyone else find some interesting stats?

is there anything more depressing than the 7mil sort of area for midfielders. it's not just this season either, i find that part of the list pretty offensive every season
