Liverpool and United’s cut-price wide men both catch the eye this weekend. We also run the rule over Everton’s lone frontman, Tottenham’s attack under Tim Sherwood and a couple of Alan Pardew’s French imports:

Do I need to change my captain from Suarez(to Silva,Hazard or Lukaku) to do anything different from him or do I take a hit? I feel that my chances are very limited this week , so going in with what I have already might backfire! What do you think folks?Open Controls-

Go with your Guts always for your (C) choice.Open Controls -
Gut choice is Silva. But what puts me off is the baps system which is clearly biased towards forwards and hence I will have to go with Suarez/Lukaku

i will sae u got a decent chance against ur H2H opponent..so just stick with suarez captain

Ozil (c) anyone?
Open Controls -
So how lucky has Yaya been realistically. The last minute penalties and free kicks etc. Surely alot of his points are just a result of being alot luckier than others. Law of averages says he cant keep it up.

watching National Lampoon's European Vacation for the 156th time on Xmas eve while the rest of the house is asleep. Good a time as any to ask for advice. My squad:
De Gea (McGregor)
Coleman, M Olsson, Baker
Hazard, Walcott, Ramsey, Mirallas
Suarez, Rooney, Negredo
(Burner, El Ahmadi, Chester) 2.0 left
Are my heavy hitters relatively safe for Boxing Day? Save the tranny or dump El Ahmadi for Januzaj? or perhaps Whittingham is a good pickup for the festive stretch. Three out of four at home, should play every minute. can be a super sub for any potential rotation traps. Sound? or is something else worth addressing?Open Controls -
Looking around almost everyone has the same team :S
Open Controls-
Plenty have Yaya.

What was ur FT? Guess you got rid of Ozil
Open Controls-
Yaya
Open Controls-
haha no way you would
Open Controls-
Ozil to Yaya was a no brainer.
Open Controls-
Meh. Im sure you either got silva or Walcott. Most likely silva as you had no city cover
Open Controls-
4 yellows = future no cover.
Open Controls-
You had 1.3 in bank. You probably bought ozil at 10.3. walcott is 9.1. The rest is basic arithmetic 😉

Guys,
-4 to do Glen J to Baines? With Luke Shaw looking like being out I would have to play McAuley (tot) as third defender.
Thanks.Open Controls-
Not even sure if Baines will play. He might get a chance against Soton instead. Who all do you have as the 5?
Open Controls-
Ivan, Coleman & Shaw. (McAuley and GJ benched)
Open Controls-
Ahh.. I have JT, Coleman, Jags playing and Shaw, Gabbi benched.
Quite a hefty backline for you. I'm counting on a Sunderland blank, so only if you feel Baines will play and Sunderland will blank do it, as you'll get your points back and this would be a long term transfer.
Otherwise, you can play Shaw with Macauley first sub and bench GJ. Shaw had a throat infection so might just be back.Open Controls-
Would like to do it, although would ideally like GJ back for New Year clash a against HULL...

Silva (C) anyone? He has been involved in at least one of the goals that City have scored at home(except for the Hull match where he was taken off injured) in the matches that he has played
Open Controls-
Considering my last captain got injured mid match (Aguero), I'm not captaining anyone that is injury prone.
Also, Suarez has punished me everytime I have taken the armband off him. I'll count on my differentials to get me somewhere instead.Open Controls-
The second part of your argument seems logical but man anyone can get injured! Dont forget the basic rule : Never dare to captain anyone else when City are at .Has to be a city player!
Open Controls-
Walcott got 2 last time around. And Arsenal had a chance for 3-4 more (City did too).
And City always attack, high line, Sterling on break. I see a couple goals for Suarez actually.
Considering City will NOT stop attacking, Liverpool will also get a couple goals. Suarez is the only one you can depend on.Open Controls
-
-
-
-
Can't believe how many mids I want in my team. Why isn't Aguero dropping faster! Would be pretty hard to afford unless he drops to 11.5!
Open Controls-
play a 352 then :p
Open Controls-
By the time I make the changes Aguero would be back.
Can get a 5 mid of Ram, Yaya, Silva, Haz, Cabaye with Luk, Sua, Roo but this will give me the biggest benching headache of all time and I'd rather prefer to not have the points at all than to have them on my bench.Open Controls

i have 0.0 and 0ft..want to get rid of fonte..who can i bring in at 4.8??
A)turner(cardiff)
B)chester
C)other
D)just keep himOpen Controls-
You will need to rotate Chester though. Hull are good at home but pants away.
Chester's good for next week, not this one.
Who are the other defenders?Open Controls-
-
Selling Fonte coz he is falling then? Because these guys all have good fixture this gw. Maybe look at a Newc defender or Bardsley. Can rotate them with these guys. Chester also good to play at home.
Open Controls-
i have decided to keep him and give him a last chance to see if he will be played..dont want to take hits..not with the cup having started

Merry Christmas to all!
Please Santa may I have a Suarez blank and an Adebayor hat trick please?
What would be your ideal Christmas fantasy scenario guys?Open Controls -
Does Ozil --> Silva make sense? I think Ozil is going to get rested, and the cover on my bench doesn't make up for it. Also thinking of Ozil --> Wally, but want to plan ahead for the man city Annihilation of palace.
Open Controls-
-
Certainly fits in with the template team Dilks. (I got Silva last week). Now looking for some cheaper assets for Hazard or Ozil.
Open Controls-
Providing I have no city cover either, I'm happy to get him despite being on 4 yellows; he only needs to get through the next two and it's gone.
Providing City are at home in the next two, I'd rather see them score loads than watch Ozil just stroll around the pitch.
I'll see what others say tomorrow?Open Controls
-
-
-
-
If he gets through the next two without a yellow, then he won't. He may also get injured/ red carded, or run over. Walcott on the other hand may just flatter to deceive.

Does Lukaku take pens?
His form is hard to look past and playing at home v Sunderland..
Think it's the week to C him!Open Controls -
Fine, so I decided to look at the captaincy conundrum this week. Looked at Lukaku, Yaya, Rooney, Silva, Suarez, Walcott and Hazard as the prime candidates this week.
Lukaku: Hasn't received much service even in the home games and has been off the boil lately. Also, has been a little lazy in games recently. Not very explosive. Sunderland on the other hand may have their cb's out and this might be good. His case becomes better if Baines plays as he crosses twice as much as Coleman and Lukaku might get at the end of some headers. Gets a solid B+
Yaya: For anyone wondering why he's here: Yaya has scored or assisted in all of City's home games. He's on pens and free kicks which he is really good at. On the other hand Liverpool have been shaky at the back and Skrtel has been really reckless so a penalty may even be on the cards. Solid but unspectacular. Another B+.
Rooney: Welbeck's probably fit, Rooney's moved deeper which means lesser goals but more assists. His pedigree is not to be doubted but Hull have the best home record in the league (3 goals in eight home matches and never conceded more than once). Cannot see more than an assist for Rooney. B only.
Silva: Silva is the City player you expect to be scoring the number of points that Yaya scores. If he wasn't getting injured continually maybe he would have. Getting into good positions, many key passes, nearly got a goal against Fulham as well. I see him having a 10+ game. He gets an A.
Hazard: His bigger hauls have come against smaller teams, and Swansea are not a small team. His points indicate a flat track bully, though could have gotten 2 assists against Ars. To be captained only by the strong hearted. Only a B.
Walcott: In the last two away games against Hammers Walcott has two goals and 3 assists. Explosive (if he makes an effort). Looking at how well Chelsea bossed West Ham, I expect a reply from Arsenal as well after recent tough fixtures. An A.
Suarez: In the form of his life. Liverpool are clicking with Henderson, Sterling and Suarez and he can never be a bad captaincy choice. City at home do not sit back after a couple of goals and that will benefit him. Kompany a little off form, Demichelis mistake prone, and I see a goal atleast for Suarez. A safe, but not a wrong choice. A again.
So, Suarez - Walcott - Silva are the prime candidates. Yaya, Lukaku are decent. Rooney, Hazard for the reasons mentioned require a strong heart.
*Just my opinion*Open Controls-
Great post bro, cheers. I'm going with Suarez myself.
Open Controls -
With Sunderland likely to be depleted at the back and Everton's home form, Lukaku should be a no brainer as (c). He was pretty anonymous v Swansea though and I just cannot trust him with the armband. Suarez appeals more and more by the minute. If Theo can run riot at City, I am sure he can as well.
Open Controls-
Theo DID well at City, in a ridiculously open and attacking game. He has yet to score against anyone else this season and I think West Ham who he plays this week, will park the bus. I see no more than a 2 or 3 goal haul for Arsenal and more likely 1. Those scored across the team.
Open Controls -
Lukaku's getting no service. Even with a depleted backline, I'm not going to trust him getting more than a goal max.
Open Controls
-
-
but i think maybe liverpool might go in with a defending mentality..since their defence is not that strong.. even though it takes just a simple mistake for suarez to capitalize,i personally think its going to be hard for him to score..
On Theo: i think he will perform better after the tough fixtures arsenal have had..so he is likely to get more goals or assists..Open Controls
