Steven Gerrard could be set to return for Liverpool’s clash with Hull. Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are ruled out for Arsenal, while Theo Walcott is amongst a number of players to be assessed. Christian Benteke and Ron Vlaar are back in training for Villa. James Collins and James Tomkins are likely to miss out for West Ham’s trip to Fulham. Martin Demichelis is still sidelined for City, Mauricio Pochettino is still uncertain of Artur Boruc’s comeback date as the Saints welcome Chelsea to St Mary’s:

Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gibbs have all been ruled out of Arsenal’s home game against Cardiff in Arsene Wenger’s early morning press conference. The trio join Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines, while Theo Walcott, Tomas Rosicky, Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshere and Nacho Monreal are all to beassessed today.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed Steven Gerrard is back in training and “will see how he is” for tomorrow’s match with Hull. Joe Allen is sidelined for the Reds, whilst Mamadou Sakho is also likely to miss out as Rodgers awaits scan results on the hamstring injury that forced him out of Sunday’s game at Chelsea.

Christian Benteke and Ron Vlaar are back in training ahead of Villa’s crucial trip to Sunderland. Paul Lambert is optimistic over their availability against the Black Cats and confirmed both “look ok”, though will continue to be assessed over the next 24 hours.

West Ham’s injury woes are showing little sign of abating ahead of a trip to Fulham. James Collins and James Tomkins are almost certainly out of the showdown, whilst further up the pitch, Ravel Morrison is also looking unlikely to travel, according to the club’s official website.

Martin Demichelis remains on the sidelines for City, whilst Stevan Jovetic is also ruled out yet again along with Sergio Aguero and Micah Richards as Manuel Pellegrini’s side roll up to the Liberty. Joe Hart is available despite suffering a facial injury against Palace at the weekend.

Shane Long has returned to training ahead of West Brom’s home clash with Newcastle. The forward is expected to recover from a calf complaint, though Victor Anichebe and Chris Brunt remain doubts – the latter is hoping to train this morning. The Baggies have Nicolas Anelka available for selection as the FA investigate his goal celebration against West Ham last weekend.

Marko Arnautovic is expected to recover from illness in time for Stoke’s home game with Everton. Glenn Whelan and Marc Wilson return from one-match suspensions but Andy Wilkinson is out with a heel problem. For the Toffees, Sylvain Distin is expected to shake off a minor hamstring problem sustained against Southampton last weekend – a relief for Roberto Martinez, with Phil Jagielka already ruled out.

Pablo Osvaldo remains a doubt for Southampton’s home game with Chelsea after picking up a leg knock against Newcastle. Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino has also conceded there “is no definite timeline” as to when Artur Boruc will return from a hand injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

In one of the hot topics I read that anyone in his right mind would get rid of Mignolet and that he would surely drop in price. Why's that? He has great fixtures upcoming, is cheap and plays for a topteam. Should I not get him?

He's a good keeper but just like GJ he's let down by endless gaffe's and rotation to the CB pairings...shame really. I have a table showing errors for defensive units and tackles lost...all that sort of stuff..they were rubbish even when they scabbed a few CS's earlier in the season.

I think the reason is that Liverpool have shown themselves to be extremely slack in defence, even when playing the very worst teams in the league. They have conceded in 14 of their last 16 matches and that includes home games v Cardiff, Norwich, West Ham, Palace and West Brom.

Yup you guys are right, in many games they have lost a cs through slack defending when a few goals up, Brendan usually makes a defensive change to give people time that causes them to lose a cs, but I still feel from now on Migno and Liverpool will start shutting teams out, this game is about opinions after all! 🙂

The fact is that the majority of people on this site are going to be average or below so most of the time the general consensus will be wrong. Imo Migno is a great shout simply because many people will start taking him out, the hardest match Liverpool have from now on is Man Utd at OT. Don't get me wrong he's been disappointing for a while now but since I've kept him this long why would I take him out when his fixtures become insanely good. Go with your gut, I'm keeping him for the season now

People taking him out is the reason given why you should ditch him. A huge amount of teams have Mignolet and are unhappy with him and likely to ditch him in the January WC. Therefore the post was saying that you should get rid of him before this so your tea doesn't lose out drastically in TV and get him back in the end if you wish.

True I get that, I might be a bit sour having got him in during his worst period while going against my gut 😛 definitely keeping though... for now- Glen and Skrtl don't exactly inspire confidence in me and even Migno himself has been below par

It's absolutely about opinions - I had Mignolet for most of the season but have got rid now as I don't think the value is necessarily there and because there have been some terrible giveaway goals e.g. at City and Chelsea where the keeper made a mistake, and also at home to very poor teams.

Definitely a game to go with your gut - in this case that is against all the evidence but that's where you can make up points.

I don't think you should start with 'majority of people on this site are average' stuff though, people come here for advice and 95% of posters give their honestly-held opinions. Don't forget Mignolet was absolutely flavour of the month here for all the reasons you've given - until he consistently failed to deliver.

Oh I don't mean it offensively, I mean that the majority are just not going to be right in the sense that we'd all finish with incredibly high points. I remember when Migno was actually raking in CS and I said to my bro that it wouldn't continue and they were getting lucky (they were incredibly open at the time while focusing on attack, still are to an extent) but he kept getting CS so i went against myself and got him in, cue like 2 CS in like the next 11 and they were good fixtures too. Imo he'll turn it around, two mistakes in a row so his focus should be maximum from now on, great fixtures so I'll be keeping, Good luck to anyone getting rid though, not like there aren't other good options (Sczs, Howard, Vito etc)

My current starting 11 has 3 doubtful players: Distin, Walcott and Ravel Morrison. On the bench I've Amalfitano, Clyne and Chester. I've already traded Ivanovic for Mertesacker, so should I take a hit and replace one of me 3 doubtful players or trust on my poor bench?

Difficult call given Distin and Walcott may well start.

Difficult to see how you are going to make back that -4 unless you trade in Walcott for Yaya but I am of the opinion that Walcott is vital so I would be loathe to lose him and hamstring yourself.

I would say stick, Clyne may start and Amalfitano should get you something.

Ravel seems a bit of a waste at the moment, I have him too. Ravel out Sterling in may make you back the -4 but it is rolling the dice.

I already have Yaya in my team, and no money in the bank to trade Ravel por Stertling (I'm considering to get him with the wildcard though). So I guess I'll just do nothing and hope Ravel can have a miraculous recovery or Amalfitano will start and do something... Thanks for the help!

I think it's safe to assume Ravel won't start so Bannan might be an option? Then again can you see Bannan outscoring Amalfitano by 4 points? Unlikely give if one of Walcott or Distin doesn't start suddenly you're struggling for XI.

Difficult decision, perhaps set your alarm for 11am tomorrow and see the last-minute team news and if anyone else if confirmed in or out you then make a transfer?

Damn, you come have you red my mind?! Bannan was excatly the one I was considering to get in for Ravel, not many options out there at 4.8 or less. I guess I'll wait for further news on Walcott and Distin, I hardly make any profits when taking hits...

With suspensions, doubts and rotations, this could be the GW for some unsung heroes to step forward in my squad....James Chester and Ben "Burner" Turner.

Chester now has a taste for goals and the Liverpool defence is depleted, whilst Burner is "due" and up against a makeshift Arsenal side!
