When Mannone concedes 6, chances are he'll have a ton of saves. When Mannone gets hurt, I transfer someone else in.
If you compare a yearlong rotation of two cheap goalkeepers to just playing one of those goalkeepers all year, you'll find that playing 2 goalkeepers only gets you 5 or so points. That money is better spent elsewhere.
Rotating defenders is smart. Rotating keepers is generally not since keepers usually get more save points against the better clubs.
To offset his -2 or -3 from conceding 6? Whats ur rank Boomer Sooner???
I never said it would be a great week, but very rarely do keepers actually end up with negative scores.

Mannone along is too risky imo.
Everton Double up was a disaster for me. Dunno why anyone would even consider that defense.
Mannone may be too big a risk. I might consider McGregor alone instead as there's always a chance Westwood will play.
I will definitely be doubling up on Everton defense. It's been working great for me for most of the season (18 points this GW, for example). The question is whether I want 3.

Should almost never buy defenders counting on scoring attack. Baines a different story because of his set pieces, but that is an exception. I think it has been shown before that defender scoring is not a "reproducible skill"

Depends on how many goals you think he is going to muster in the second half of the season. He's scored 2 or 3 goals in the first 20 games of the season, so you have to weigh up if spending an extra million is worth it.
Mert does not tend to score boni too so calculate the likely PPG to see if it's worthwhile. Use the RMT tool with those two players in the members' area to help you decide.

Good team. Too much in Defense for my taste but thats not really a downside if they produce. My bench looks just as weak but hope it doesn't hurt us in the long run.
Id never play anyone out of that bench. So i figured smash the hell out of the budget for the first 11
Doubt many ever wanna play their bench players but injuries and rotation sometimes force our hand. Think someone posted a while back that on average a bench playing will come in 28% of the time....
Agree. Chester and Parr offer pretty good rotation as fodder. So its not all that bad 🙂
Figured, Terry, Mert, and Coleman would get goals as well as Cleanies. So cant got wrong with that 🙂

Hes very good when he wants to be. The problem is he doesn't always wanna be. Hope he does keep it up and comes a good 3rd option as it makes the game more interesting.

Possibly. Hazard has certainly got away from me-pricewise at least- but that might not be a bad thing if the defs do cs and boni. The 3 defs could be my differential.
But if you had more money it wouldn't be one or the other. You could just fill you team with Heavies and see the points come in.

Is Baines & Coleman overkill but I can see them as being the 2 highest defensive scorers.
Kolorov is a bit of a punt but if he keeps his starting place will score well with City's fixtures from gw25
My 3 main defenders are fullbacks. Will I suffer due on the bps front as cb's tend to get the bps? Welbeck fixtures get worse at gw26 so unless nailed on I will sell.
Nothing wrong with Baines and Coleman. No reason to punt on Kolorov though. It looks tempting to have a cheap player from one of the big clubs, but Man City's defense has not been good. What are your options for getting Wellbeck out? There are no good forwards cheaper than him (that I can think of anyway), so make sure you keep that in mind.
Ozil to Ramsey & upgrade Welbeck.

What do you think the long term points difference between having Colback or Ki Sung-Yueng/Jan on the bench is? Assuming they'll come on 1 in 4 games on average as I remember someone saying you used an auto sub like 25% time. I ask because I was just wondering if it worth me finding the funds to make the upgrade. Could prob do some rough math and get expecations but I'd rather ask you guys lol.
Go colback. He won't be first on your bench all the time if you have the likes of chester, baker etc
I think it's necessary to have a good enough 5th midfielder. Someone like Januzaj, Puncheon etc. Personally, if Colback's on my bench, I'd rather be tempted to take a hit for a key player out for the GW due to injury/suspension, than get him on he field. Though, if I have the likes of Januzaj or Punch, I'll not hesitate too much in banking a transfer and benching that key player if he's out for a week.

Terry v A. Cole
The last 4 gw's A. Cole has been raking in the points = 37 incl. 7 bps.
Terry however has only scored 20 incl 1 bp.
A. Cole is also 0.6 cheaper. It seems A. Cole is the better fantasy option. Opinions welcome.
I'd bet that Chelsea are going to concede the least from now until the end of the season (they've conceded only one goal in the last six) and so really want to invest, but can only really afford Azpilicueta, and it would also mean downgrading Zabaleta to Nastasic. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah I have Terry in my defence & every time I decide to sell him he gets a cs. Chelsea have recorded 4 cs's in their last 5 & the one they conceded was v Liv where they won 2-1. I think Azpi will lose his place when Ivanovic comes back but he would be a good short-term punt. I think Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic & Cole are nailed on. I wouldn't downgrade Zaba to Nasty as I don't think Nasty is nailed on. I think only Kompany & Zaba are the only ones 100% nailed on.
Chelsea's games from gw22-30 are

I think they have a good chance to get at 5-6 cs's.

Sorry, forgot to actually respond. Terry is basically more of a goal threat which is why he's more expensive. Depending on the rest of my defence, and how much money i had, i'd much prefer Terry, as i think over the course of the season he'll outscore Cole.
Before Ivan was injured Cole was out of the team and Azpi played left back. So there is a good chance when Ivan returns Cole would be back on the bench.

I'd probably do Negredo -> Sturridge or someone after that game and keep Aguero and Silva. Wouldn't surprise me if City knocked at least 3 past Chelsea. Mourhino would set them up defensively but if they conceded early they would have to come out like Spurs and Arsenal and Man United did.

I don't have faith in Cardiff doing anything. They will lose big too. But i just happen to watch some highlights of Fulham games recently and they are so rubbish. Any team can put 4-5 past them easily.
