A bad Saturday and now I need 16 points from Henderson & Szczesny to reclaim top spot in my ML. Not going to happen so knee-jerk - here's my first WC team...

It'll be 3-5-2 and those denoted by * can't be changed as I'd never get them back. Negredo will go to Aguero either before or after the Cardiff game. Thoughts?
Great midfield, but I think Chamakh is a bit pointless (excuse the pun).
I'd maybe consider Ozil > Ramsey, then upgrading Chamakh to Welbeck / Adebayor.
Cheers. He has 2 nicer GWs coming up so a bit of a safety net then maybe what you suggested or Eriksen / Llalana -> Low Budget and upgrade him depending on how things pan out. I've also got a 2nd WC if things really eff up.

Cabaye would become ramsey. Have 1m in the bank. Cabaye is the 7th highest scoring midfilder. 6,6 dv
Ok, well in that case I'm not sure how you have a more powerful midfield without reshaping the whole team. If you're happy with heavy front and back then go for it 🙂

It can definitely work, and it lets you go for a non-template team. I've got Chamakh at the moment (benched him today), to allow me to spend in midfield and at the back. So, yeah, if it gives you a solid team, go for it.

For those hoping to jump on bandwagons and make a bit of cash, this may be the week to do it. Many popular players scored, and a bunch are already on the verge of a 0.1 rise tonight.
I'm certainly contemplating it myself.
Problem is, most of my players in profit, and only one or two I want to change, so wouldn't be able to take advantage, so done Fer > Eriksen and will WC if Ramsey & Aguero confirmed fit later in week.

Getting hacked off with the continuing presence of Hazard, Eriksen, Januzaj and Welbeck. The only thing with not owning Hazard is that he seems to miss out on the bonies and go to a defender instead.

Apologies for long post but it is my first attempt at offering something worthwhile. So if you don't want to read it just use your hand to take you to happier place further on.
I did an analysis on doubling up defence or going with similar priced player from another team.
I Took all relevant options from arsenal, spurs, Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool.
By relevant I ruled out players who had missed 4 games in a row or missed 5 or more in total, as managers would probably have dropped that player anyway.
Of the players selected, when they missed a game I gave them 2 points, as it would probably be a bench fodder replacement and would be impossible to work it out exactly.
The main findings were:

For spurs only putting in skrtel or cech would have got you a worse score than doubling up with any of lloris, Dawson or walker.
I didn't include man city as two players didn't meet the criteria.
Also I didn't include man utd or Southampton as there numbers would be very similar to spurs.
There may be flaws in this analysis, but I haven't found them so if you think there is something wrong feel free to shoot it down.
I would say when looking at it you also have to consider doubling up on any team would have prevented you having two attacking players from that team such as ozil and Ramsey.
I will leave you all to take anything out it you find, but for me it shows unless you picked arsenal or everton at start and stuck with them, it looks better to go with players from different teams. Considering you would likely bring in the likes of Coleman or mets anyway.

I'm not quite there. When you chose the similar priced player from another team, did you choose a particular player or award a par score of some sort?
Same starting price, didn't see point in doing it unless that way, they were almost all within 0.5 of 5.5 mark.
Also try to stick to ones that would have been most popular, and have scored well.
Players with lower than 65 points at moment would have been same or worse than spurs players so would have same results
