While it is true that all of Stevie G's goals have come from set pieces and so have most of his assists(6 out of 7!!!) he was registering a couple of attempts at goal(on/off) which were around 18 and created 17 chances in the ten games preceding the stoke game. While none of them were converted, if gerrard plays deep as he did vs Stoke that number is going to go down a lot(nearly nil) so the added benefit of those will disappear. I am keeping him for the next 2 home games to reassess obviously and i dunno how this info will help anyone, but it's nice to know anyway. cheersOpen ControlsNote that Gerrard seems to have taken up the defensive midfield role now. Open ControlsI think the problem is if you're on WC this week, then not having a plan to get Aguero in seems stupid, but so does losing a prolific home striker ahead of three home games in four, starting with Cardiff. So it's either Negredo with money to upgrade - which doesn't make the most of WC price rises, or both. Then Negredo can become Sturridge or whoever if necessary.
