Gameweek 24 is set to bring us the winner of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup VII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, after the semi-finals came to a conclusion last night. Our two finalists are Ajax and Tdubb05, with the former perhaps the slight favourite due to his higher overall rank (23,379 compared to 37,953):

Tdubb05 will have no qualms over the underdog tag, though, after he narrowly edged out former cup favourite Cunny Funts by 61 points to 60 points in the previous round. Ajax, on the other hand, safely secured his passage with a 63 – 46 win over Tal in the other semi-final, after the later took an eight-point hit prior to last Tuesday’s deadline.

Looking at the two finalists, there are four players – Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Eden Hazard – currently sitting in both sides. If Aguero is ruled out of City’s clash with Chelsea on Monday, the decision to replace the Argentine could go some way towards determining the tie, though.

At present, Tal has five players set to feature in Monday night’s encounter at the Etihad and only has three fit defenders, whilst Ajax – who has already made two transfers – will be hoping his decision to double up on Arsenal’s backline pays off.

Cunny Funts and Tal will go head-to-head for in the third vs fourth place play-off. At present, the duo have four of the same players – Suarez, Aguero, Toure and Everton’s injured defender Seamus Coleman – but Cunny Funts’ winter wildcard is now active, leaving his opponent guessing.

As we discussed previously, it’s not just bragging rights on offer here – the top three will be rewarded for their exploits.

Winner – £100 worth of free bets. £100 Amazon voucher
Runner-up – £50 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £25 Amazon voucher

As always, we wish all four the best of luck as they brace themselves for battle!

    Szczesny Davis

    Hazard Yaya Lallana Sterling Pozuelo
    Negredo Suarez Aguero

Aguero to Sturridge will leave me with 2.8 in the bank, do I pocket it and wait until the next week or take a hit somewhere?? thinking Sterling to Eriksen??

Kos - 10 CS mostly at home

MOlsson plays for a team with 8 CS - mostly at home

    Shaw - 8 CS

    Ward - 7 CS

I reckon rotating these 3 for home fixtures/decent away fixtures will yield better results than Kos every week, especially with Arsenal's fixture pile-up. All of these sides are pretty good at keeping CS when you expect them too

Yeah - was a great idea, even if it brings out my rather competitive side. 😉 hehe - all in jest of course!

I think the best questions are the tough ones, where you have to work harder than just chucking them in google. The 1-pointers are all about who can type quickest! 🙂

I suppose it's hard to find a quiz question that isn't on google though!

20 points to the Fantasy Freak for effort and execution. 😀

Aguero to who ? It's a season defining decision almost.

RVP, Rooney, Sturridge, Giroud, Dzeko or Negredo ??

    All have their relative merits.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

RVP at 13.6m is surely too much ?? needs to avg 8pts a game to be worth it.

    OK, Cardiff defence...

Did they improve at all under Ole? They were conceding most shots in the league, plus nobody seems to be nailed on except Caulker. I have around 4.5 to spend on a defender, and I would prefer to play him this week (benching CHE defender & Coleman).

So, McNaughton, Burner, Declan John - risk worth taking, or I should avoid all together?

Bony's still got fixtures on his side so I'd keep the faith - not worth a hit to get rid.

I think you've got to wait for Aguero news really, unless you're on a WC. Could waste money/hits getting rid just to buy him back. I think he tweeted it was just a precaution.

Coleman depends on the selling price really. I don't see him continuing though, with their back four injury hit and the stats suggest Baines/the Everton left is hogging the play.

I reckon D) Coleman out and play 3-5-2 this GW. If the Kun news is bad, get rid for -4.

C - Chambers, out of those choices.

Chester is out for a while. Saints have good fixtures.

Then I'd see who is going to play each week out of Clyne/Chambers and get rid of the dead one in a couple of GWs.

If it was me, I'd probably upgrade Chester. I think Clyne will get back in, and you've got decent cash in the bank.

Have to keep unless Jesus (Navas) lays his healing hands upon Aguero. Don't want to take a hit to ditch Coleman.

Hey evs, can I get your opinion, I want RVP but not sure how to fund it! See below

Azpi to Demel or another 4.5?
      Giroud to Dzeko, Jrod, Adebayor?
      Yaya to silva?
      Hazard to Oscar?

      Fair play. Sensible move.

Get a few injuries (and there are plenty about) and then players like Dzeko can become unwanted issues/0 pointers.

I've been really hurt by injuries over the last 2 months, that forced my wildcard.

I took a 4pt hit last week, and I still have these...

        Aguero
        Coleman
        Chester
        Lukaka

I need to take another 4 pointer this week. So maybe JRod, although him not keen v Fulham.

        Then re-assess....

I think JRod is your answer. Come GW28, I think you're bound to take another hit to fix a few things so going for JRod helps you avoid that, depending on other players in your squad.

        Hmmm....

Could do, I'm 0.1m short of Rooney / Negredo.

I'm never convinced where Wayne will end up playing. With RVP it's pretty clear cut.

Wayne in the hole, Mata wide, RVP up top.

          Rooney/Ade > RVP/JRod imo.

        don't harsh my buzz Timbo!

either way doesn't bother me..Grenier has told them no thanks so HBA is still likely nailed on the rest of the season and on pens, free kicks and corners 😎
