Our Gameweek regular for members is rolled out once again ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Liverpool’s trip to West Brom sees Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge place highly in the Captain Poll, whilst United’s visit to Stoke also supplies our analysis with a couple of popular contenders. Arsenal’s home game against Palace also comes into the reckoning, whilst we also unmask this week’s “Captain Unsensible” and cite the statistics to back up our bold punt:
-
Is it worth a hit to get DF this week?
1: Play this DF
Marshall / Mannone
Sagna - Kosc - Ward (Coleman, Chester)
2: -4pts hit .. Sell Chester or Coleman (bought 6.5m) for
a) Evans
b) Fonte
c) DemelOpen Controls-
Should've probably sold Coleman weeks ago if you got at 6.5, but anyways hindsight notwithstanding maybe just play Ward and no hit

Hi guys
Who is the more nailed on WHM defender ?
ThanksOpen Controls -
AJ - Mata - Hazard - Eriksen
Sturridge - Suarez - Aguero
A) Risk no City coverage, Aguero -> Rooney
B) Aguero -> Dzeko
C) Other transfers?Open Controls -
ok so Cabaye and Aguero must go. Whish of these combos do you prefer?
A) Mata and Sturridge
B) Mata and Dzeko
C) Yaya and Sturridge
D) Eriksen and RVP
E) Mirallas and RVPOpen Controls -
Honestly, Rooney has to occupy the No.10 role. Mata to play on either wing. Thoughts?
Open Controls-
True. Since there's no way Rooney will play on the flanks, Mata will definitely be deployed to a wider role, which is something he was doing at Chelsea this season. Let's see how will do with United this time round, though. Safest bet, anyway: van Persie.
Open Controls

Should I start:
A) Marshall (home against Norwich)
or
B) Mannone (away against Newcastle)?Open Controls-
Marshall.
Open Controls -
It's hard to see Cardiff keeping a clean-sheet, plus Mannone is on great form. Not to mention Newcastle will be without their main strikers due to injury. Still, I still always lean towards the home factor.
Open Controls-
I almost wanted to pretend that Norwich don't score goals away but it seems they still might. Think I'll have to go with the popular vote and pick Marshall still, although I'm guessing WALL-E's prediction of me getting it wrong will prove fairly accurate....

WC team, thoughts please! 😀
GK: Marshall
Def: Kosc/Kompany/Fonte/J.collins
Mid: Mata/Hazard/Gerrard
Att: Suarez/Sturridge/Dzeko
Subs: R.Bennett/Bacuna/Ward-Prowse/ Gk Sub:HarperOpen Controls-
I'd downgrade Kompany to, say, Azpi, and strengthen your bench, mate. Otherwise it looks good, just keep an eye on City's rotation, with Dzeko likely to share his minutes with Jovetic and Negredo.

Gone for the following team on WC (maybe lost at bottom of page)
Mannone Adrian
Ivanovic Kos Kolarov Reid Flanagan
Hazzard Yaya Mata Johnson Puncheon
Suarez Sturridge Dzeko
Would you make any changes got £3.8 million in bank??Open Controls-
Dzeko to Negredo.
Open Controls-
This. Watching Dzeko play, he misses so many opportunities that the other two City strikers would put in the back of the net.
Open Controls

I'd ditch Kolarov (who doesn't seem nailed-on anymore), get Azpi and maybe do Johnson > Mirallas, considering the former's tough fixtures.

Has Puncheon signed for Southampton?
If so I reckon his game time is going to be reduced.Open Controls -

So all of a sudden, you'd think Jovetic would get his first EPL start since September against a full strength Chelsea team?
Not saying it won't happen, but surely Pello would stick to the form book on this one.Open Controls-
Jovetic will start. You heard it here first.
Open Controls-

Pellegrini wants him to regain confidence after injury. Chelsea perfect platform.
Open Controls

I don't know why people are thinking this either. Negredo was clearly rested against Spurs as the Chelsea game is more important. He will play most/all of the game with Dzeko starting and making way for Jovetic 60 minutes in based on how the game is going.

Afternoon Gentlemen,
Ok, so let's assume that Aguero doesn't make a return until 2nd march as suggested by physioroom; the earliest time he will be available in FPL terms is gameweek 29 and even that may change.
If you're not looking for a replacement from Man City, then from a fixtures perspective - Aston Villa, Tottenham, Swansea, Southampton, Cardiff, West Ham and Hull all look to have pretty good fixtures during this period. In addition, Southampton and Cardiff benefit from a decent fixture this week, which could help ease the blow for anyone taking a hit to get him out.
I've used the members area fantasy index to look at the potential of players from these teams/minute, and the following stand out for their respective clubs:
1. Aston Villa - Benteke
2. West Ham - cole
3. Tottenham - Adebayor
4. Swansea - Bony
5. Southampton - Rodriguez
6. Hull - Jelavic
7. Cardiff - Bellamy
It's worth mentioning that the fantasy index stats/minute for Dzeko and Nedgredo are only marginally better than Benteke, but they are also likely to suffer at the hands of rotation, play Chelsea this week and miss out in gameweek 29. However, they do have three home games in the next four.
The question for me therefore is:
Benteke OR Dzeko?
ThomasOpen Controls-
Lots will go with Rooney/RvP
Open Controls-
Yes, and I can understand why. Big hitter out, big hitter in; I just don't think it will pay off for RVP @ 13.6M, or a slighly injured Rooney playing a bit deeper @ 11.3M.
Open Controls-
Depends where Rooney plays. I'm waiting for Moyes to play his power 4 (Mata, Janu, RVP and Rooney) together before bringing RVP or Rooney in.

Dzeko. Going without City striker is a suicide in that fixture (nor SUN STO)
Open Controls-
It's just whether or not you can guarantee you'll have a city striker - negredo, dzeko, jovetic will all be sharing time.
Open Controls
-
-
That's teh 2 I'm looking at as well.
Open Controls
-
-
To make Aguero to Rvp transfer I need to take a hit. Should I transfer along with Agu
A) Coleman to 5.0 Def
B) Ade to DzekoOpen Controls -
Change Vlaar, Oscar and Aguero for Fonte, Yaya and Sturridge (-8) and stay with 1.0 in bank???
Open Controls -
Who's going RVP (C) ????
Open Controls-
I will
Open Controls
-
-
Dzeko has come off the bench in 6 matches this season. 1 goal
Open Controls-
Negredo then?
Open Controls -
not as prolific as last 2 seasons then. Also seems to get a lot more 0 minutes games, though I'm not sure on that.
Open Controls -
He should start vs Chelsea.

Best defender to get for 6.5M or sub?

Money no object, who is the best Aguero replacement to cover the next month?

Shoulder injury.
Made the bench last game but Jovetic who hasn't played in a long time came on instead of him, suggesting that Negredo wasn't fully fit to me.Open Controls-
It suggested to me that Pelle is saving Negredo for Chelsea.

So i'm thinking about playing Gnabry and benching Hazard. Gnabry's been playing well and has a decent fixture, whereas Hazard has a terrible fixture.
Hazard has played top 6 teams 8 times this season and returned 1 goal. I forsee another blank, whereas Gnabry is looking like he'll get some attacking returns.
Crazy?Open Controls -
Fabio or Flanagan? No other defenders from Cardiff or Pool.
