We turn to Friday’s Scout Picks for inspiration in our attempts to get one over Paddy Power this weekend. Arsenal and Everton supply us with a midfielder apiece ahead of their favourable home games, whilst we return to the days of being “Robin Reliant”, backing the United striker to grab the goals at the Britannia.

First up, we make our way to Goodison as Everton prepare to welcome Villa. The Toffees are struggling for options up top after both Romelu Lukaku and Lacina Traore were ruled out with injury – Kevin Mirallas is expected to lead the line as he looks to continue the form that has harvested two goals in his last three. Paddy are offering 13/2 on a Mirallas goal and Everton clean sheet and we’re willing to part with £3 of this week’s tenner here.

We wind our way to the Emirates next for Arsenal’s home game with Palace. The Gunners have conceded once in the last seven in front of their own fans and Santi Cazorla has now notched four times in his last five in all competitions. In spite of such facts, Paddy are still willing to offer 3/1 on a Cazorla goal and Arsenal clean sheet and we’re making this our bet of the week, throwing £4m Paddy’s way for Sunday’s match.

Our final match takes place at the Britannia, as Stoke prepare to face United. Robin Van Persie was immediately back amongst the goals upon his return from injury in midweek and Paddy are dangling odds of 8/1 on the Dutchman to score two or more and David Moyes’ side to keep a clean sheet. Mark Hughes’ side have been decent at home but if the champions can shore up at the back, Van Persie, ably backed by Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney, could well flourish once again. We empty our wallet of the final £3 for this one.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Yep, Ince plays left wing mostly, think hes left footed overall but seen him play/score/assist with the right. Be interesting to see how we line up, as Bolasie has impressed loads in recent games on the wing and will be interesting how Pulis will accommodate all of Ince/Punch/Bolasie. One things for sure I have woken up a happy Palace fan this morning with our dealings last night.

One repost, see if I can rile up any replies... if you were gonna pick 4 defenders and 2 GKs and keep the costs to a minimum, what would you end up with? I've currently got

    Adrián Mannone
    Ward McShane Olsson Yoshida

I feel like I'm getting a lot of bang for my buck with that setup. Yoshida is only temporarily, but so are Southmapton's good fixtures so I figured that would be a good way to go. Should I have Cardiff in there? They've been... not very good defensively this season, but okay fixtures.

Ok guys, i have to head out to work soon so I'd appreciate some comments to help finalise my WC...

    Adrian (Mannone)
    Mert Kos Evans (Fabio Ward)
    Yaya Mata Mirallas Eriksen/AJ (Hazard)
    Suarez Sturridge.JRod

I'm keeping my double Arsenal defense, I'm afraid, so nothing about that... 🙂

    Also, Eriksen or AJ?

    Thanks

Eriksen easily. AJ only has two good fixtures.

I don't think I'd go without a bench fodder 5th mid and JRod. He's scoring too much to bench. Hazard on the bench? That sounds risky, he's on pens with Lamps on the bench as well.

Speroni with 7 clean sheets in last 13 games should retain his place I would of thought. The issue we have is not having good enough back up, I shuddered when Speroni landed on his shoulder badly when we beat Hull earlier in the week.

We need Suarez to bite someone in order to restore the fun into captain choices.

ditto, just finalised my wildcard. thoughts ?

    Adrian (Boruc)
Cahill Toure Chiriches (Fabio Ryan Bennett)
    Mata Eriksen Mirallas Sterling (Mutch)
    Van Persie Suarez Dzeko

no arsenal for 3 weeks, and aware of gw28 (no manu, city, sunderland or wba games) so will likely bring in an arsenal from gw27

    keepers seem to alternate well

    £1m in bank
    another wildcard available sometime

Not really a fan of the Fabio pick. He didn't do much when he was loaned out to QPR and Cardiff aren't much better defensively. I've gone for Chambers personally.

I think you have a lot of players who are at risk of being dropped some weeks

      Adrian
      Toure
      R. Bennett
      Sterling
Mutch (I think he should be OK)
      Dzeko

yeah I guess, I have £1m for replacements as they drop out though, should be ok for at least 11 for a couple of weeks. The keeper doesnt matter as he has an auto replacement

RVP & Suarez owners, which one are you captaining?

I really want to go RVP but all this talk of him not starting or getting taken off early is scaring me

I've got both and I'm going Suarez. Don't see any reason to risk it, not that much difference between their fixtures especially if you factor in Suarez is going to get 90 and RVP will get... no idea.

West Brom with Pepe Mel and Lugano is a better fixture.

Off late Suarez has been taking the corners from the right leading gerrard to take just 4 corners in the past 3 games. He does not cross the half way line and has created 0 chances from open play. Has lost direct freekicks to suarez and has taken just 2 indirect free kicks in the past 3 games. All this and he still get points 🙂 .. i own gerrard and i gotta admit he's my yaya 🙂

I've gone for Giroud as my Aguero replacement. Was thinking about getting another midfielder for a hit with the money saved, but I'm going to keep faith in last week's wildcard picks and avoid the -4:

    Marshall
    Vlaar Olsson Chambers
    Mata Hazard Mirallas Eriksen
    Giroud(c) Suarez Sturridge

    Mannone Gnabry Hudson Moxey
