We turn to Friday’s Scout Picks for inspiration in our attempts to get one over Paddy Power this weekend. Arsenal and Everton supply us with a midfielder apiece ahead of their favourable home games, whilst we return to the days of being “Robin Reliant”, backing the United striker to grab the goals at the Britannia.

First up, we make our way to Goodison as Everton prepare to welcome Villa. The Toffees are struggling for options up top after both Romelu Lukaku and Lacina Traore were ruled out with injury – Kevin Mirallas is expected to lead the line as he looks to continue the form that has harvested two goals in his last three. Paddy are offering 13/2 on a Mirallas goal and Everton clean sheet and we’re willing to part with £3 of this week’s tenner here.

We wind our way to the Emirates next for Arsenal’s home game with Palace. The Gunners have conceded once in the last seven in front of their own fans and Santi Cazorla has now notched four times in his last five in all competitions. In spite of such facts, Paddy are still willing to offer 3/1 on a Cazorla goal and Arsenal clean sheet and we’re making this our bet of the week, throwing £4m Paddy’s way for Sunday’s match.

Our final match takes place at the Britannia, as Stoke prepare to face United. Robin Van Persie was immediately back amongst the goals upon his return from injury in midweek and Paddy are dangling odds of 8/1 on the Dutchman to score two or more and David Moyes’ side to keep a clean sheet. Mark Hughes’ side have been decent at home but if the champions can shore up at the back, Van Persie, ably backed by Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney, could well flourish once again. We empty our wallet of the final £3 for this one.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Mannone or Marshall chaps??

ML rival (he's 29 pts behind) will play Mannone...does that alter the thinking? Newcastle seem a bit bare upfront now...

I don't think you are going to get much better than that mate. Really like your GK rotation, excellent midfield and strong attack.

Your defence is a bit on the weak side but I think you have done the best you could for the money you have.

There is one possible switch but not sure what you think. Evans + Puncheon --> Azpi + another cheap mid

Morning lads, need some help with my injury-ravaged team. Kun, Wilshere, Coleman & Hudson all out (did have Chester too but got rid on my FT before his price fell). What to do?

    A. Aguero out for Dzeko, Rooney, Giroud, etc (-4)
    B. Aguero & Wilshere to RVP & Noone, Barkely, etc (-8)

I was struggling almost Indentical crisis, having Kun, Wilshere, Coleman and Chester

I also had Clyne who has not been playing so went for Kun and Clyne for Sturridge and Shaw for a -4.

Wilsh and Coleman should be back next week

I'd go for A; Either Rooney or Sturridge

Last two times I had terrible fixtures amongst my defenders and a conviction on a transfer for a hit I decided against paying pts.

The players I would have transferred in both got clean sheets (one scored!) and BAP's whilst those I stick with got 1 or 0 pts.

This week I have to play Azpi & Ward as I've no bench (Chester & Coleman) and have a good feeling about bringing in Jonny Evans for a hit.

Waste of 4 pts or third time plucky gets lucky?
