We turn to Friday’s Scout Picks for inspiration in our attempts to get one over Paddy Power this weekend. Arsenal and Everton supply us with a midfielder apiece ahead of their favourable home games, whilst we return to the days of being “Robin Reliant”, backing the United striker to grab the goals at the Britannia.

First up, we make our way to Goodison as Everton prepare to welcome Villa. The Toffees are struggling for options up top after both Romelu Lukaku and Lacina Traore were ruled out with injury – Kevin Mirallas is expected to lead the line as he looks to continue the form that has harvested two goals in his last three. Paddy are offering 13/2 on a Mirallas goal and Everton clean sheet and we’re willing to part with £3 of this week’s tenner here.

We wind our way to the Emirates next for Arsenal’s home game with Palace. The Gunners have conceded once in the last seven in front of their own fans and Santi Cazorla has now notched four times in his last five in all competitions. In spite of such facts, Paddy are still willing to offer 3/1 on a Cazorla goal and Arsenal clean sheet and we’re making this our bet of the week, throwing £4m Paddy’s way for Sunday’s match.

Our final match takes place at the Britannia, as Stoke prepare to face United. Robin Van Persie was immediately back amongst the goals upon his return from injury in midweek and Paddy are dangling odds of 8/1 on the Dutchman to score two or more and David Moyes’ side to keep a clean sheet. Mark Hughes’ side have been decent at home but if the champions can shore up at the back, Van Persie, ably backed by Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney, could well flourish once again. We empty our wallet of the final £3 for this one.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Playing in a keeper league - no two players can have the same player - and haven't got Suarez. Would you get rid of Aguero or keep him through his injury?

Guaranteed to play every minute and got a month of games more than Kun.

    Morning all!

Quick question. Finally got top (albeit level on points) in my 2 main mini leagues.

Do I save transfer (play 352 with Noone), use it (Rooney in for Aguero or other) or -4 to get RVP - one rival has gone -8 to presumably get RVP.

    Team:

    Boruc Mannone

    Azpil Kos Chambers Vlaar Ward

    Haz Mata Toure Eriksen Noone

    Aguero Suarez JRod

    Many thanks for any replies!

I LOVE how even BBC live text quote that "Arsenal get sweden midfielder (and Championship manager legend)" Kim Kallstrom.

Pleases me no end that his biggest claim to fame is being a good prospect in a video game 5-10 years ago.

@premierleague: New players added to #FPL: Mitroglou (FUL) FWD £6.5m, Kallstrom (ARS) MID £6.0m, Bridcutt (SUN) MID £4.5m, Armero (WHU) DEF £4.5m

Mirtoglou's price is very tempting IMO. Great, great value if he settles in well. And if Fulham will have any chance of survival, he'll be their main man.

I'm seeing the returns of the REDS, with Liverpool, United and Southampton enjoying positive fixtures, whilst Arsenal remain reasonably essential for now.

How many red shirts have you got in your team now?

    I've got 9 out of 13 outfield players. 😀

Any thoughts on the below transfers is very welcome:

Aguero and Clyne out, Sturridge and Shaw in for a 4 pt hit

Got Coleman and Chester both out so need to take the hit

Seriously pondering over who can replace Kun... what do you guys think... Rooney/Benteke are other options. Kun for Sturridge frees up some cash for midfield investment

    A:
    Adrian / Mannone
    Evans / Cahill / Sagna / Ward / Bennett
    Mata / Hazard / Puncheon / Lallana / Yaya
    Suarez / Sturridge / RVP

    or B:

    Adrian / Mannone
    Coleman / Terry / Sagna / Ward / Fonte
    Mata / Hazard / Puncheon / Lallana / Yaya
    Suarez / Sturridge / Dzeko

(team B has more flexibility in my opinion).
